I have a pain managment Dr. in NYC giving me endocet 10/325 tid,every other dr gives qid whats up! I guess hes too conservative! ## Hello, Rick! How are you? They really don't have a choice, but to be conservative, due to the current directives from the DEA. Many have been cut even lower. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. is it true that endocet10-325 is no longer available, and if so why? ## Hi Thomas, If you run a google search for "Endocet Discontinued", you'll find that various websites do actually list Endocet as being discontinued; however they do not offer any specific reasons as to why. That said, I can't say for certain that it truly is discontinued, otherwise I think it would say so under normal Endocet search results. Some pharmacies may have stopped prescribing it due to the higher dose of Oxycodone, but it might be best to just ask the pharmacy directly if they are carrying it. just read something interesting on wiki-answers.com: that Endocet & Percocet NB are the exact same formula, same exact ingredients, (no different fillers or anything), made by the same company, (Endo). My friend got some of what he believes to be endocet 10mgs. They are white oblong and have the markings of E 712 on one side and 10/325 on the other side. Are these really endocet 10mgs? If not does anyone have any idea what they might be? I found a pill that is scored on one side and readsendo and under neath the enda it reads 602 Is this a percacet 10 or percaset 5? ## Well, they both contain Acetaminophen and Oxycodone, but this is Endocet and the correct dosage is 325mgs and 5mgs. I have 3 levels of herniated Lower Lumbar discsw which need replacing with prodisc but my insurance doesn't cover it. I was on Morphine for almost a decade and I am in constant pain. I work as much as possible but it is very physical work that I do so I need to get back onto some form of pain treatment which I haven't had in about 1 1/2 years now. I have been on endocet 10/325 mg for over 10 years, was a gymnast and now I have a spinal cord stimulator implanted, my dr want me to go out on permanent disability, I refuse, anyway my rx states brand necessary even tho endocet is a generic, I never had a problem getting them now Noone will fill my rx, they say they don't carry it, I work in medical field I know it's a more expensive drug, but if a pharmacy has it, and my insurance covers it with a copay this month the pharmicist tried to charge me $400, when my usual pharmacy never had a problem filling it, I had to go to different pharmacy because it was on backorder, and every other pharmacy wouldn't fill it with a generic cause it states brand, so the other pharmacy tried to make me pay $400 is that legal, very frustrated

Hi....i've been takin endocet for 8 yrs ..now i had changed to another pharmacy. i've been in this new Pharmacy for about two to three years now. I’ve gone thru several variants of Percocet 10/325 over the past 20 years, (7 C-spine surgeries and 3 lumbar spine surgeries, and still suffer horrible pain on a daily basis). Endocet is one of the only meds that works for me, doesn’t make me sick to my stomach, nor any side effects. (I haven’t had to have any increases in strength or amount of daily intake, so I’m pleased with the Endocet)... But my cost has gone up to $159 for a one month supply (150 tabs), which is tough for me to handle financially. After the year it starts to loose its potency and may make you sick. ## To expand on Eddie's reply…. His response is correct for tablets or capsules that have been dispensed to you in a bottle from your pharmacy. In that case, they have an expiration date of one year from the date of dispensing, though most will not make you sick, they just lose potency. I was on Mallinkrodt(sp?) 10/625 5x a day and went to refill at wrong store and have Endocet yellow oval 10/325 one side, E 712 other side, and feel like I'm aching FOR SOMETHING!!!!! Called dr & no help. Idk what to do. No $. ## The pill marked E 712 10/325 does contain 10 mgs of Hydrocodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen, the active ingredients in Endocet. However, the active ingredients can differ from name brand to generics by as much as plus or minus 20%, so this may be what is causing your problem. Why can't my pharmacy get the Endocet 10/325? ## Hi, Scott! Sorry about the problem that you're having. By any chance are you on the east coast? If so, there was a very large distributor that got shut down, so most pharmacies have a backorder on controlled substances, until they can get a new distributor to take over. Apparently, this distributor was found to be processing much larger amounts of controlled substances than others, which made government agencies suspicious.
