Using Encorate 500mg, have developed some lashes around the neck and the chest also some pimples coming out, kindly advise is this a side effect of the drug? ## Encorate Chrono contains the active ingredient Sodium Valproate, it is an antiseizure medications used to treat Epilepsy. Apparently, cases of life-threatening inflammation of the pancreas have been reported with the use of divalproex (Encorate) delayed-release tablets. Life-threatening liver failure has also occurred in patients taking divalproex delayed-release tablets. Although Encorate is not a delayed-release version of the drug, I think it is still very important to contact your doctor and report any stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, or loss of appetite, as soon as your recognize any symptoms (for your own safety). My 7years old daughter is using Encorate chrono 300 for last one year. Doctor has told ,she will have to take the medicine till 3 to 4 years. My father has done a Multicentric gioblastoma surgery in last 22/11/2013 and since that he is using encorate chrono 200mg 3 times. He has a good appetite but now he is showing signs of heavy breathing, tired, pains in legs, sometimes headaches. is it a side effect of this medicine?

I am using ENCORATE CHRONO 500mg, along with Clonazepam I.P. 0.25mg & Phenytoin sodium I.P. 100mg, for last four years, please tell me the side effects of these in my longterm future. ## I know this is a broad answer to your question, but no one can really honestly tell you how this drug is going to effect you in the future, as they are not you. Not even "you" know how it's going to effect you until you take it. Medications can and usually do affect everyone differently, whereas some people get great results, but there are others whom it inevitably just doesn't work for no matter how many they take or how often they take it. If you've been taking these medications over the past four years without any problems or side effects then in my opinion you should be fine....

i have been taking the dozage since last 6 years and what i am experiencing is a constant loss of memory, hair loss & immense weight gain. Please suggest can any of these sideeffects be over comed and even may decline. My weight is 111 kgs and my total dozage per day is that of 1800mg. A close relative has been prescribed to use this drug. can I know how soon it can take to stop his absence seizures that he experiences on a daily basis?. He has previously used tegretol and lamictal but the seizures still occur. ## I'm sorry, but there's really no way for anyone to say. If it works for him, it may take several weeks to see the full effect and for it to completely control the seizures. But there is also a chance that it may not work, just like the others. My mother has a lesion in her left basifrontal lobe which is the most probable cause for the Generalised Tonic Clonic Seizures she's been having since May 2013. The doctor had suggested taking Levipil 500 twice daily. The thing is there has been no improvement since and she still gets seizures. A few days back she had a very severe life threatening attack after which the doctor has increased the dosage to Levipil 500 in the moning and Levipil 750 in the night along with an additional drug Encorate Chrono (300 in the morning and 500 in the night).
