Encorate Chrono 300 Side Effect

My 7years old daughter is using Encorate chrono 300 for last one year. Doctor has told ,she will have to take the medicine till 3 to 4 years. Is there any side effect in this medicine with this dosage. She started with the dosage of 200mg, then it became 250mg and now it has become 300mg. Will it effect her studies or memory. Now she is going good in her studies but will it effect later. i have been taking the dozage since last 6 years and what i am experiencing is a constant loss of memory, hair loss & immense weight gain. Please suggest can any of these sideeffects be over comed and even may decline. My weight is 111 kgs and my total dozage per day is that of 1800mg. Please if possible do suggest the preventive and precautionary measures for countering the medicines's side effects ## I am using encorate chrono 500mg and lonazep.5mg from past 16 years

I want to know about what is the side effect of Encorate chrono 300 for taking long term.. daily i took twice tablet...........so what happen long term ... ## I have been taking encorate chrono for the last 3 years for epilipsy and there is no further epilpsy since the first one before 3 years. I have been taking 300mg twice a day. Please advise me how long I have to take this tablets? I am OK now.

I am taking Enchorate Chrono 300mg everyday since 2006 for my seizures. My doctor suggested I take these tablets daily. I took one everyday, but some times I still get seizures and its not stopping. At times my hands and legs shake unknowingly. My mother has a lesion in her left basifrontal lobe which is the most probable cause for the Generalised Tonic Clonic Seizures she's been having since May 2013. The doctor had suggested taking Levipil 500 twice daily. The thing is there has been no improvement since and she still gets seizures. A few days back she had a very severe life threatening attack after which the doctor has increased the dosage to Levipil 500 in the moning and Levipil 750 in the night along with an additional drug Encorate Chrono (300 in the morning and 500 in the night). Since taking this medication I have been feeling weak, can't concentrate, feel dizzy and sleepy. As well I am having trouble remembering things at work. ## Encorate Chrono contains the active ingredient Valproic Acid, which is mainly used as an anticonvulsant. And those can be side effects of the medication, though they are not very common. Learn more Valproic Acid details here. Hello, My daughter is 5 year old. She has had partial seizures since she was 1.5 years old. We did an MRA and doctors said she has a scar in the brain on both sides. She is using Levil Phill tab 250 mg, Frezum 10 mg and encorate chrono 300 every day, but still her condition is the same. I am taking Levipil 750 since 2 years.I am always feeling drowsy,get angry immediately,forget things,don't feel hungry ,and loss of hair also.Are these the sympoms of this medicine.I am also taking Encorate Chrono 300 with it. ## My father, Mr. Kanchan Datta, an epilepsy patient is taking LEVIPIL750 and tetrafol plus for last 9 months. Can he continue tetrafol plus with LEVIPIL750? Actually doctor which we prescribed told him to continue it for 3 months. But my father, Kanchan Datta wants it to continue more. Is he doing correct? Moreover his weight increasing too much ND has short temper and his anger has been increased? So I will be highly obliged if any good neurologist give me suggestions?

i have epilepsy from the age of 15..my first doctor who was a neuro surgeon prescribed me encorate chrono 300 from the very beginig during day and night after the meal...during this i lost my hair nearly almost...i doubted that it may be the side effect of the medicine...i discussed it with that doctor but he continiously refused it..in between 17-18 of my age i stopped that medicine without doctor consultation which causes me a massive attack...then we consult the doctor and he said to continue the medicine...i was consuming that medicine for 5.5years after that we thought to consult another doctor but this time a neuro physician...he was also prescribing the same medicine but from a low dosage but we denied it as we had searched in google about the side effcts of encorate chrono...and...
