Ecstasy False Positive Drug Test

I am on a drug called denominated Colin that cause a positive reading on a urine test for extacy ## my son is in jail .is on wellbutrin rx given by the jail nurse.he was put in lockdown for a dirty urine that tested positive for ectasy.he swears he has taken nothing but his rx..urine was sent out to a lab for further testing came back bupropion 410 and hydroxybupropion 600.....does this prove he did not take ectasy? ## Susan, With all due respect if your sons liberty and freedom may be decided by a faulty urinalysis seeking opinions from random posters online probably isn't in his best interest. I had an emergency c-section and when my sons urine test came back it was positive for ecstasy. I have never even seen what Ecstasy looks like much less would I take it. Well now Dhr is investigating me and doesn't want to allow my baby to come home until they figure out what caused the false positive for ecstasy. I was prescribed wellbutrin throughout my pregnancy and still currently take it. Is wellbutrin known to cause a false positive for ecstasy? I am heartbroken my son can't come home. I took some Nyquil Monday night and Tuesday night but I didn't take any on Wednesday. Thursday afternoon I may have to take a drug test. If i take 15 mg of Ephedra (green Stinger) in the the am will i test positive for methamphetamines in my urine in afternoon ## Hi roxy, Ephedra is known for causing false positives for Amphetamines as well as Ecstasy, so I would just be cautious of that if you do have to go in for a drug test soon after taking it. I took a hair follicle test for cps because my husband whose in jail tried to kill me and it came back positive for methamphetamine, cocaine, and ecstasy. I've tried coke in the past over a year ago and haven't tried ecstasy since 2005, never touched methamphetamine in my life. I have a pain managment dr who I've had the last 7 yrs. My husband was in need of a liver transplant. During his pre test he tested possitive for ecstasy, a false possitive. He is on Wellbutrin - this drug will give that possitive for ecstasy. Luckily his Dr. knew him well enough to know he was not on ecstasy. He had a chemical test done and it was negative. Since my husbands false possitive the liver transplant team has had 5 more people test possitive. I feel badly for those people out there who may be suffering consequences because of this issue.

I am trying to get SSDI and was denied. They said they found ecstasy and methamphetamine which i do not use any drugs except what is prescribed by my doctor. About a year ago i was given fenofibrate and researched that it can give false results. I can not find out how much time must go by before it is all out of one's system. Any suggestions on fighting this? Thanks. All the VA tests showed negative, so I don't know why they are saying it was in my system.

Will this make a urine test positive for drugs? ## Hi DeLane, Information I've found states that Clobenzorex is noted to cause false positives for Amphetamines and Ecstasy. In any case, many testing facilities should allow you to present proof of a prescription prior to the screening; that way you won't be held accountable for a positive result. I would consider letting them know what's going on prior to your test, if you haven't already. I am on methadone and trazodone and i am getting a false/positive reading of speed on my urine tests at the clinic. Has anyone ever heard of that before? Thank you. ## I too am on methadone and trazadone and combined they absolutely will give you a false positive on a drug tests. The positives may vary from methamphetamine to benzodiazepam to ecstasy. Trazadone messes up the entire test for me. ## Trazadone has been known to cause false positives in drug tests. It may show up as a benzodiazepine. Referenced from: askdocweb.com/falsepositives.html If you're able to I would ask your doctor if additional testing may be done on the original sample so that a second sample may be taken. Odds are that a different result will pop up if they are using a more sophisticated test. I hope this helps!

I think I bought these pills about 3 years ago.. Are they still good? If I took one of the pills would they show up in a DRUG TEST for work? ## For most tablets, once they are out of the original factor sealed bottle/container, and in a pharmacy bottle/package that exposes them to heat and light, the expiration is usually 1 year from the date of dispensing.
