Ecosprin is however primarily used as an analgesic to rapidly relieve minor to moderate aches and pains, and as an antipyretic to reduce fever, and as an anti-inflammatory medication. HI,my dad is taking ECOSPRIN AV 75 for past 2 weeks on his cardiologist's advice. He has also been taking Aztor for the past year and a half, prescribed by another doctor. Both are taken at night. Can these meds be taken together, as both contain 10mg atorvastatin. Is this considered a high dose and is it necessary? What is aspirin's role here? ## The Aspirin is generally used for its blood thinning properties, it can help prevent heart attacks and strokes. Are both of his doctors aware of all the medications he is taking? If they are not, he may be doubling up needlessly. However, if they know about all of his medications, they may have decided that he needs the higher dosage. Atorvastatin, which is used to help lower cholesterol, can also be used to help prevent stroke. ## I H...

These prescribed medicines are causing heartburn, palpitations and dizziness to my father who is 64yrs old, suffering from 90% blockage at mid LAD, 60% at RCA. Pan40 was not prescribed but is included. Is that the reason? ## All medications carry the risk of causing side effects, and the symptoms you've listed can be normal for taking heart medications, blood pressure medications, and blood thinners. Other side effects, as reported by the NIH, may include nausea, increased urination, easy bruising, and low blood pressure. However, it would be far more dangerous to let his heart condition remain untreated, because that could cause a fatal heart attack, or stroke. It is best to follow his doctor's advice on this matter. I am a patient of pancreatitis due to this I am diabetic also, can i take this medicine ## Ecosprin contains the active ingredient Aspirin and no, it should not be taken if you have Pancreatitis. It is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory and can aggravate the condition. It can also cause your stomach to produce more acid, which can cause the pancreas to be further irritated and try to release more enzymes, since it thinks you are trying to digest more food and that can also make the condition worse. Whenever someone has pancreatitis, it is advised that they stay away from all nonsteroidal anti-inflammatories. Have you talked to your doctor about this? Usually the only thing given, when someone has pancreatitis is Acetaminophen/Paracetamol: ## Effrct of ECOSPIRIN 150 AV. TOO MUCH URINRE AT ...

I have under gone CABG in sep 2010, I don't have any other problem like Sugar,BP etc.I am taking Met-50 & Eco-AV-75 once daily from one month I feel eaching and uncomfartable after taking Metzok - 50 ## Have you consulted your doctor? The Eco-AV contains Apsirin and Atorvastatin, this combines a NSAID blood thinner with a medication to help lower cholesterol. The Metzok contains the active ingredient Metoprolol, which is a beta blocker used to treat high blood pressure and help with cardiac function. That said, either one of these could be causing the problems you are experiencing. They could be side effects from one, or both of them. This is why you need to consult your doctor, so you can get to the root of the problem.

I was taking Tonact 20 and Ecosprin 150 separately. Tonact 20 costs about rs.200 for 15 tablets. I came across Ecosprin AV 150 containing both above ingredients in single capsule and costing just rs.20 for 10 tablets. This lowers the medicine bill to absolute low. But what is the catch? Does Ecosprin AV 150 have Atorvastatin that is of low quality and that is why they are selling it at such low price or is it genuine medicine at low price because of some other factors? if so, what are the factors? ## Do you have Insurance to help you? If so, the price difference maybe because you insurance company "prefers" you to take the "2 in 1" pill than taking them separately. In my country (i am a phamracist) we don´t have the "2 in 1".

And I didn't find any interactions or problems listed between taking it with the antidiabetic medications Glimepiride and Metformin, but you should check with your doctor, or pharmacist to be certain. As to the Sam-E, that is a nutritional supplement, not an actual medication, so it hasn't been checked for interactions with medications, thus I have no information on it, but would suggest checking with your doctor.
