Hi, my mom is 64 years . She is taking ecosprin av 75 /10. She fells like burning in her chest.what do do. ## Hello, Santosh! How is your mom doing? She should consult her doctor to determine what is causing the problem. Is there anything else I can help with?

I have under gone CABG in sep 2010, I don't have any other problem like Sugar,BP etc.I am taking Met-50 & Eco-AV-75 once daily from one month I feel eaching and uncomfartable after taking Metzok - 50 ## Have you consulted your doctor? The Eco-AV contains Apsirin and Atorvastatin, this combines a NSAID blood thinner with a medication to help lower cholesterol. The Metzok contains the active ingredient Metoprolol, which is a beta blocker used to treat high blood pressure and help with cardiac function. That said, either one of these could be causing the problems you are experiencing. They could be side effects from one, or both of them. This is why you need to consult your doctor, so you can get to the root of the problem.

HI,my dad is taking ECOSPRIN AV 75 for past 2 weeks on his cardiologist's advice. He has also been taking Aztor for the past year and a half, prescribed by another doctor. Both are taken at night. Can these meds be taken together, as both contain 10mg atorvastatin. Is this considered a high dose and is it necessary? What is aspirin's role here? ## The Aspirin is generally used for its blood thinning properties, it can help prevent heart attacks and strokes. Are both of his doctors aware of all the medications he is taking? If they are not, he may be doubling up needlessly. However, if they know about all of his medications, they may have decided that he needs the higher dosage. Atorvastatin, which is used to help lower cholesterol, can also be used to help prevent stroke. ## I H...

Should I stop this medicine and is this a known side effect? ## Hello, Kamal! How are you doing? Has there been any change? Can you be more specific regarding the symptoms you are experiencing? One cannot actually feel their blood circulating, according to NIH anatomical information. Do you mean that you are feeling your heart beat? Are you experiencing a wooshing sound in ears? Are you experience headaches? Nausea? Dizziness? Fatigue? ## Yes I m feeling 100% fast blood circulation at night after taking this 2 medicine since last one week & also I take other medicine for Diabetes ...

My name is Naeem. I'm non-diabetic but I'm taking Ecosprin 150mg (two tablets daily) to reduce some blockage in my arteries. I'm 53 years old. Please advise me as to whether it is safe or risky to take high doses? ## This medication is used to help thin the blood, improve heart health, and lower cholesterol levels in the blood. You should take the dosage prescribed by your doctor. The NIH lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding, and stomach irritation. There may be some risks associated with taking it, such as the bleeding, and stomach issues, but they aren't anything to worry about, as long as you don't exceed the prescribed doses. How are you doing? Are you on any other medications?

Diabetis Mellitus type-II, osteoarthritis, on antidiabetic drug-glimipride- metformin composition and Sammy-200mg for osteoarthritis. Can Ecosprin be administered and will there be any drug interference? If any intereference, then what to be done? ## Ecosprin AV contains Aspirin and Atorvastatin, it is used as a blood thinner and to help lower cholesterol. And I didn't find any interactions or problems listed between taking it with the antidiabetic medications Glimepiride and Metformin, but you should check with your doctor, or pharmacist to be certain. As to the Sam-E, that is a nutritional supplement, not an actual medication, so it hasn't been checked for interactions with medications, thus I have no information on it, but would suggest checking with your doctor. Are there an...

Dear Doctor, I am 59 years old. Based on a CT coronary angiogram i have the following problems: "non-dominant calcified plaques in proximal LCX causing mild stenosis + calcified plaques in left anterior descending/circumflex coronary artery + dominant calcified plaques in proximal, mid RCA causing foci of mild stenosis". I am consuming Ecosprin AV 75 MG since 9 months and Metolar XR 50 since 6 months. So please advise how long i need to take Ecosprin AV 75 MG and Metolar XR 50? ## You should take them as long as your doctor instructs you to do so, which might be for the rest of your life. Stopping them could allow these issues to become life threatening. I don't like taking medications every day, either, but it is better than the alternative. The NIH lists the typical side e...

Ecosprin AV 75 has many short and long term side effects. Is there any alternative to this medicine which has lesser side effects comparatively. Is there any natural drug which is equivalent to Ecosprin AV 75? ## All medications carry the risk of causing side effects, including over the counter products and natural remedies. The NIH lists the typical ones for Ecosprin AV as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding, easy bruising, and joint/muscle aches. What issues are you experiencing while taking it? ## I am taking ecosprin 75 with amlopress AT 25 daily, but due to side effects like dark patches, I want to stop taking ecosprin 75.

my wife is taking ecosprin under doctor's advice. But this has triggered gas in her body and feel uneasy Can this be remedied ? ## Unfortunately, nausea, vomiting, and stomach pain, are all common side effects of Ecosprin AV (aspirin). In my opinion, the best thing to do would be to use natural alternatives instead of this drug (depending on what your wife is taking it for). She may or may not continue to experience side effects until she stops taking the medication. That is just the nature of man made drugs. She can also try to take another medication to help ease the gas build up; but then again, that drug may come with side effects too. This is a common loop hole that many people who take prescriptions find themselves in. The only logical remedy would be to treat it naturally and ...

Is one capsule of Ecosprin AV 75 is a proper substitute for one tablet Ecosprin 75 and one tablet Tonact 10 (Generic name : Atorvastatin)? ## Atorvastatin is exactly what the AV in Ecosprin AV stands for, it combines both medications, the Aspirin and Atorvastatin into one. Are there any other comments or questions?

The colored portion of the ecosprin av 75/20 is extremely difficult to dissolve and passes in stool as such in tablet form. I do not know if the colored portion is aspirin or AV. Does anyone know which portion of the digestive track the component is suppose to dissolve and gets absorbed. Not only this misleads physician as he thinks you are consuming the drug but actually it is not absorbed, but is literally a wastage of money. ## I found that the colored portion is aspirin and it has a tough gastroresistant cover. But still I don't know why it passes through. ## That is just an outer shell, it is used keep that part of the medication time released, so it helps with your condition over the full time period, rather than having all of it be released and absorbed at once. It is entirel...

Hello. My mother (77 yrs old) has been prescribed Ecosprin AV 75, Hosit and Calcium. She's been having it regularly for past 7-8 yrs . Now for the last few days she is getting hallucinations ( hears people saying something) and palpitations, lack of sleep and lack of appetite. Is it because of Ecosprin? Pl. Advice. ## Hello, Aarti! How is your mother doing? It is very doubtful, the U.S. FDA lists the typical side effects as including symptoms such as nausea, dizziness, headache, and joint/muscle aches and they usually only last a few weeks, until someone's body gets used to the medication, then they tend to go away. Given the hallucinations, I think it very important that she consult a doctor to have herself checked out.

Thus, unless your doctor has instructed otherwise, there is no specific time of day it needs to be taken, you should just make sure to be consistent. The NIH lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding, stomach irritation, and joint/muscle aches.
