Need a central/eastern NC doctor willing to prescribe pain medications. I am taking methotrexate and have been told multiple times not to take otc medications such as ibuprofen and Tylenol and referred by the specialist to my PCP for medications. My PCP is aware of the methotrexate and physician telling me not to use otc medications, but will not prescribe anything. He actually told me to take "a little" Tylenol or ibuprofen. A lot won't even help my joint pain. I am new here in eastern nc. I have had more than 15 hip surgeries and I am looking for a really good pain management dr who will listen and feel what your going through. Not judge you cause of what your on. I am not looking for no more or less on pain meds. Also I have had 2 spinal fusions and my other hip replaced. I also have sphyndholestisis. In my thoracic. I have DDD, protruding discs, herniated discs, and a "turned" pelvis, all from 2 car accidents. I just came from my pain Dr.'s appt in Eastern Tennessee, who had no problem writing my prescriptions for oxycodone and oxycontin,the problem was my pharmacy or ANY pharmacy. My regular pharmacy has no oxycodone at all and I take 3 80mg oxycontin daily, all they had was 60 40mg. enough for 2 weeks. I ask both the Dr and pharmacy what do I do meanwhile? Plus after our home of the free government has removed all traces of oxy's what do I do? First they want me to go through withdraw of years and years of oxy's that worked for the nerve pain in my leg. Once I am done with that what will they do when the pain returns?? My VA docs had me on HYDROS for 9 years 7.5 they said they didnt have 10mg. I was going to two different doctors VA and outside just to control my back and neck injuries from being heavy equip mechanic I only weighed 130 lbs most of my time in the service and I was liftingn pulling , pushing thousands of pounds of equipent daily. If so, this is a narcotic and they are controlled substances, so if you have just been calling around to various pharmacies to ask if they carry it, you are not likely to get a correct answer. The reason for this is that if someone just calls in, they have no way of knowing if you are a legitimate customer with a need, or if the voice on the other end of the phone is a potential thief. I recently left the Eastern clinic. Due to my work scheduel starting @ 7A.M. I can no longer make it there. My doctor just suddenly passed away and has left all of his patients with no way to get their prescriptions. It was a private practice with no other doctors working with him, just a NP to assist. Does anyone know of the availability of Tardyl? Tardyl was used mostly in Eastern Europe. It is composed of Amobarbital, Glutethimide (Doriden) and Promethazine in a three layered tablet. I believe it was made by Extractum Pharmaceuticals, and is indicated for insomnia. The dosage was 125mg of Amobarbital and Glutethimide (Doriden) and I believe 25 mg of Promethazine, all in one tablet.
