I have a UTI and my doctor prescribed both mylan 3422 and E122, but I'm not sure how it's supposed to work because I have one of the E122 and nine of the mylan 3422 pills. ## They both contain the same active ingredient, which is 100mgs of Nitrofurantoin. Is there a difference between Nitrofurantoin Mono/Mac 100 mg capsules and Nitrofurantoin Macro 100 mg capsules? The former is black and yellow with E122 on the front while the latter is gray with Mylan1700 on both sides. ## From what I could gather, both of the pills in question are one in the same drug. The only difference I noticed is that they are manufactured by different companies. Additionally, there may be a slight variation of inactive ingredients; but other than that you can be assured that they are the same drug and same dosage.
