I found a oval capsule that appears black possibly purple in color with the numbers 127 imprinted on each section of the capsule. Im assuming its fairly old since I found it behind the drywall in my home. It hasnt been replaced for approx 12-15 years. If anyone can give me a clue I would appriciate it. Thank you.

I have a small white capsule with no markings??? ## If there are no markings, it may be difficult to determine exactly what it contains. We can rule it out as being a manufactured, U.S. prescription medication, since they are all required to have markings to enable their identification. However, it could be any one of a large number of over the counter items, or even a foreign medication. Over the counter or prescription drug? ## The current regulations of the U.S. FDA require that all prescription medications have unique markings to enable their identification, in case of emergency. The only exception is for medications that are specially formulated by a compounding pharmacy, and they use capsules. Thus, if a tablet doesn't have a marking, it is most likely an over the counter product, of some type. Is there anything else I can help with?
