My mother is taking pause-mf for heavy bleeding. Her doc suggested that she take it twice a day when her menses starts and continue it for 5 days... but is it really necessary to take it for 5 days? I mean if the bleeding stops in 2 or 3 days, shouldn't she stop taking it? ## Pause-MF contains Tranexamic Acid and Mefenamic Acid and it is most commonly used to help control bleeding. And she should take it for the amount of time suggested by her doctor, so it reaches its full efficacy in the body. But you might want to double check with her doctor to be certain.

Could you please tell me how long this medicine should be taken for or when it should be stopped? It's been almost 2 years so far. ## If he has epilepsy, he may need to take this medication, or another one for the rest of his life to help prevent dangerous seizures. My blood pressure is now 120/75. Should I continue taking the Tellzy ch 80mg? How will I know when it's time to stop treatment? ## Hi, Sultana! How are you? Yes, you should continue with your medication as long as your doctor instructs you to keep taking it. If it is the only thing that has lowered your blood pressure, it could start to go up again if you stop taking it. Additionally, if you stop taking it suddenly, rather than tapering it gradually, you could suffer a rebound effect which could cause your blood pressure and heart rate to go up to dangerous levels. ## My doctor prescribed me Tellzy-ch 80, but it is very costly to buy. Can you recommend any alternative low price tablet?

Hello, I've been taking Topiramate/Topamax for about 14 years. When is 'too long' as far as stopping the medication? I feel as though I have so much of the drug in my body already that it may need a break. ## Hello, Vicki! How are you? That's not actually how it works, your body doesn't keep storing more and more of the medication, that's why you have to take regular doses. Our bodies process stuff out, after a certain period of time. As to how long is too long, that is entirely up to your and your doctor. Only the two of you can decide how long you should continue taking it. Have you discussed your concerns with them? The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, clumsiness, drowsiness, red eyes and memory problems. ## T...

You should always finish the full course of treatment, as direct by your doctor, unless they instruct otherwise. Stopping early creates the risk of your developing antibiotic resistant bacteria.
