I have been diagnosed with DSPS. Not sure if that is the correct diagnosis; Basically I can fall asleep just fine, at any hour. I can adjust my sleep schedule as needed, BUT when I did a sleep study the specialist noticed that my brain waves were significantly more active than they should have been in deep REM sleep. IE: The doctor told me "my brain was waking up" 5-6 times an hour, despite the fact that I was sleeping through the night and getting into deep REM. I was prescribed Temazepam and that seemed to help a lot as i can FALL asleep i'm just not getting quality sleep because my brain wont stop.
