Does anyone taking synthroid know anything about muscle pains. i have been on synthroid for 30 years and recently i am experiencing very bad pains in my arms and I am wondering if it is related to the medicine ## Are you on cholesterol drugs...this sounds more like a side effect of the statin drugs to lower cholesterol. I have been taking synthroid for 10 years and have not had this symptom. ## I also have been on levothyroxine sssynthroid for a long period and also suffer sever arm pains in both arms ## I have also been on simvastatin fo a long time now and went off it do to kidney problems thats what iwas told by the dr. ## Are you on any other medications? When is the last time your levels were checked? The FDA does list muscle cramping, and weakness as being among the possible side ...

I started the Estring after I went into menopause from Chemotherapy. I started to feel a heaviness in my chest, coughing and a lot of mucous along with muscle pain. I contacted my OB and she said she didn't think the symptoms I had were from the Estring. Did anyone else have these symptoms? ## The chest tightness is actually listed by the FDA as being possible allergic reaction, which could also encompass coughing and etc. How long have you been on it? Are you still on any other medications? Has there been any change? Have the symptoms worsened, or improved? ## Shortness of breath is a serious side effect (it looks like SOB from your symptoms. That's an allergic reaction and you should stop (I'm not a doctor, but I've had similar symptoms with other drugs)

I have severe pain in my back and migraines and I have a lot of severe spasms in my feet and legs that keep me up at night. Please advise whether ativan is used for pain? ## Ativan is a benzodizaepine that is most commonly used to treat anxiety and nervous disorders, though in some cases it can help with insomnia and preventing seizures. The FDA warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, and irritability. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Diana, No, Ativan (lorazepam) is an anti-anxiety agent. They are sometimes used as a muscle relaxant. They belong to a family of drugs commonly known as benzodiazepine's. This is a potent medication that carries a risk of abuse.

I'm taking Norco 10/325 & soma 350mg twice a day. They no longer work. I have cronic lymes disease 5 year's now. Pain & fatigue migraines & a whole bunch of symptoms. I need something stronger. I'm exhausted &can't work after 30 years in banking, I'm can't work anymore. What do you recommend for pain medication. I've done every thing thèy gave me to cure lymes nothing worked. I'm done. Just treat the pain. Help me! ## Percocet is slightly stronger. Fentanyl is a long term pain med without the highs and lows experienced with breakthrough drugs like Norco. Migraine meds, non narcotiv nerve meds like gabepentin, muscle relaxers like Valium, lots of choices! ## What M3sue has posted is correct, there are plenty of other options available....

I have MS and infuse with Tysabri. I am having severe muscle spasms. I am allergic to Lyrica, Baclofen, Methocarbamol, all prednizone drugs, etc. I take Dilaudid for pain as I also have a frontal-lobe brain tumor. I do go to a pain clinic, but my insurance BC/BS has denied my claim for muscle relaxants. Apparently, my pain clinic cannot prescribe Soma. I suffer from migraines and I am asking what can be prescribed for severe muscle spasms? Thank you. ## Hi Rae, sorry to hear about your pain. There's another thread on this site asking about Diclofenac in conjunction with Tysabri. I checked both the webmd and medscape drug interaction tools and nothing was listed between those 2 drugs. Have you asked your doctor about Diclofenac? I'd be really interested to know what they say. Alt...

The neck stiffness started while on Xarelto. After switching to Eliquis is the pain spread throughout my body. Into my back, my hips, my legs, the back of my knees, just throughout my whole body. I cannot sleep at night nor can I hardly move during the day. I am desperately looking for an alternative to any of these blood thinners. it seems like no one can really give me the correct combinations off supplements. I am open for any suggestions. thank you so very much! ## Hello, Sam! How are you? There really is no combination of supplements that can be guaranteed to work. Some are known to cause blood thinning, but no testing has been done to show that they are as effective as actual drugs used for that purpose. Have you ever tried Warfarin/Coumadin? Many people manage to take it, without...

this capsule is giben for backpain alongwith SAMONECPLUS n TIZAN 2. i just want to know is this prescription of subject item is the right prescrption? ## @pradeep, Just to confirm, Omeprazole is used to treat heartburn, and Domperidone is an antiemetic drug, that is typically used to treat symptoms of motion sickness (such as nausea and vomiting). So based on these indications I don't see how either of those options would be beneficial for back pain? The other two medications however, are meant to be used for pain relief (assuming you meant to say Tizanidine, which is a muscle relaxant). Samonec plus contains a combination of two non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs Aceclofenac + Paracetamol. You can also learn more about each of these drugs on the pages for Aceclofenac Details, Pa...

After getting serious about taking my medications within 2 weeks I noticed weakness in my back and tingles up my spine suddenly I became dizzy and very weak I feel as if I lack judgement of distance when walking, my muscles are also twitching all over, I have pain in my arms and legs. ## I too have muscle weekness. I noticed my muscle tone has changed and now I get cramps in my body. I am wondering if this is from this drug. ## It is not listed in the common side effects, but that does not mean that it may not affect some people in this manner. I suggest you speak to your doctor to discuss the possibility. ## ARE YOU TAKING CERTAIN STATIN DRUGS LIKE LIPITOR ZOCOR FOR CHOLESTROL IF SO THEY CAN CAUSE CRAMPS MUSCLE WEAKNESS. IF SO STOP TAKING THEM AND TELL THE DOCTOR. ## I just started the...

My 1st. Try on Exalgo was not more than a pain in my stomach and lightened my leg severe pain.I almost lost that leg,my driving leg,had 7 fractures,2miniscus surgeries, the muscle that's supposed to be on the side of calf is now sticking out the front of my calf.My foot has numb & pain.everytime I get on a med that works, the manufacture changes how they make it then it isn't worth getting my hopes up of getting a med that works or won't be changed shortly after Im put on it.For 15 yrs.i was on fentynol patch, but that started all the changes in my MEDS due to the new not helping.Iat the last was on the lozenges but due to the only testing was done on cancer patients w chronic pain I can't get them anymore.Chronic pain is Chronic pain! Why make us suffer taking drugs tha...

I was prescribed 5/325 mg tablets and told to take 1-2 for pain from kidney stone surgery. I did NOT have it filled because I still had some at home. I took one about 90 minutes ago and realized that they are 10/325. Is it ok to take another one or would that be dangerous. I know nothing about pain meds. ## It would depend on your tolerance and if you're taking any other medications. For someone not used to taking opiates 20mg of Oxycodone is quite a bit. However, it's not enough, in my opinion, to worry about overdose. You'll likely just get very sleepy. If you just took a 10/325 why do you feel the need to take another so soon? Also, if you're taking a benzodiazepine or muscle relaxant be careful. These drugs combined with Oxycodone can synergistically cause respirator...

does tramadol have adverse reactions with the muscle relaxant baclofen if so what are the affects. my b/friend just took both he is in severe pain with his ribs, gout and a messed up knee, already having trouble breathing from the shifted ribs. can someone please help me. ## Has the same doctor prescribed both of these? The main problem with taking these two medications together is that they can both cause central nervous system depression and, when used together, the effect can be synergistic. This is not usually a terrible danger for most people, but does mean that they shouldn't be used together, without a doctor's supervision. Anyone that does so should know to watch for lowered blood pressure, sever dizziness and/or drowsiness and lowered heart rate.

Dear Sir, At 75,for the first time,I had pain on my left leg, especially below and above knee. I can walk, but when I step-down,I have more pain and while stepping-up mild pain.I referred to Physician and he diagnosed that I have no problem with knee-joint and it is just muscular pain.He prescribed PMSON ER containing Acetaminophen extended release tablet twice a day and Folimax-Plus containing Folic acid,Pyridoxine hydrochloride-10mg and Methylcobalamine-750mg.once/day. Since I started these drugs,I do have some relief. He further advised to use hot water bag at night and do some exercise so as to strengthen the muscles.I also apply Bengay cream which does relieve pain. Folimax-plus is to be continued for a month and PMSON ER till pain subsides.By now I am taking these drugs since last ab...

gel or cream for muscle and joint pain ## There are several on the market, both prescription and over the counter products. You can easily go to any drugstore and find quite a few choices, such as Icy Hot. They often contains products such as Capsaicin or Menthol, to help cool and sooth the ache in the muscle or joints. What specifically are you looking for?

I need help in getting prescribed muscle relaxers. I dont wanna seem like a DRUG ADDICT... BECAUSE I'M NOT!! But, how do i get my dr to give me what i need???.. I've been in pain for quite some time and my body just isnt the same as it used to be.... I dont want to list all the drugs that i HAVE BEEN taking... but, i just need something (on going) so that, i can get back to my normal life. Any ideas??? Almost anything you do, if you suffer chronic pain, is viewed as drug seeking behavior. Going to multiple doctors in an attempt to get help? Yeah, you're a drug seeker. Asking for a higher dose? Drug seeker. Hoarding? Drug seeker. Questions or complaints about random drug panel policies? Drug seeker. Past history of recreational drug use? You're a drug seeker. ## It honest...

What are interactions of methocarbamol with allopurinol, methylphenidate, clonazepam, Lexapro, coated aspirin, nabumetone, triamterene/hydrochlorothiazide, pentoxifylline, tamulosin, Benicar, pramipexole, and nabumetone? ## Hello, Alton! How are you? The only interaction I found listed between any of these, with the Methocarbamol is combining it with the Clonazepam, since both can cause sedation, which could be detrimental to some people. The FDA classifies Methocarbamol as a muscle relaxant and lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache and dry mouth. Have these all been prescribed for you? ## Thats Not an answer on side affects. Methocarbamol with clonazapam & ....... So what are the side affects. My 62yro boyfriend is having muscle pains in shoulder, shuffling at night, exhausted, leg cramps, feet hurt, tingling, some memory loss, slurring of words and I am soooooooooo worried! I need testimonies, doctors articles against lipitor anything to prove to him it is stealing his health. People say he walks like an old man. His tendon snapped and he couldn't walk on his foot. He jerks when h e sleeps and I cry nearly every night because I need something, an article, someone to call him, something, a miracle to get him off this horrible drug. I have pics of him where his shoulders have changed and he looks so much older. Help is needed. ## It sounds like he might be having some of the regular side effects of this class of drugs, plus possibly some more serious ones, such as Rhabdomy...

Many people have no Idea that when people come into your home and use your bathrooms, or babysit your children they will look through your medical cabinet looking for pills to sell or use to make themselves feel high! The sad thing is many times it is your own kids or there friends that will break the trust and when you go looking for a pill bottle it is not there or it has been filled with aspirin Etc.. Many times we do not use up the pain pills or muscle relaxer or other pills for mental or other problems if someone has has major or minor surgery some pills will just sit, in our bathroom cabinet easy to go through in just a short time we all leave them in our bathrooms! And if someone has Cancer that will be a marked home from your kids friends to find a way to get in your home. If yo...

pain in upper arms ## Well, there are no guarantees that any medication will actually help anyone, so there is really no way we can answer that. We are also not medical professionals. What medications has she tried? Has her doctor suggested she try this? Synap Forte contains Acetaminophen and Propoxyphene, possibly Caffeine and/or Diphenhydramine, from what I am finding listed. The Propoxyphene is a very mild narcotic pain reliever and the Acetaminophen is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory. ## I had a stroke in May 2010 and have since had incredible pain in my left shoulder generating down to the arm, this pain is not a muscle pain and I feel it in the bone. The pain was actually there before I had the stroke but after a while it got better with antiinflamatory drugs and pain killers. Si...
