acne treatment ## Comed is not a prescription drug, it appears to be an over the counter, topical skin acne treatment. This means that it is not actually proven to help with anything. In addition, while I can find it mentioned on a few sites, I can find no specifics on its price, use or ingredients. Has anyone else tried this? ## My sister and I used Komed in the 1980s. It really helped my sister who had very bad acne. It helped me somewhat I didn't have as bad a case of acne as my sister. The only drawback I recall was that if not rubbed in all the way (applied as lotion) a white film at the edges of the application area could be seen; which was embarrassing if a classmate noticed it.

i have been diagnosed with glaucoma and have had reactions to all the drops prescribed so far. Is this common? ## I am curious as to what type of reaction you had. My mother in law had a very strange reaction or episode to some drops for glaucoma. She got extreme pain in her eyes, soreness on her lids. Extreme headache. She was in distress but as of this date, we have no answers. Stopped the drops of course, no answers as to whether this drop could have caused all this. Her vision is so blurry, which is another reaction. Dr. sending for MRI of brain. Pain is not in Occipital lobe of her head. Do not understand.. ## What drops did you try, and what type of reactions did you have? Most of them can cause side effects, such as eye irritation, burning, blurry vision, and headache, which is c...

I'm on an email list with someone from Australia. Yesterday she attempted suicide (possibly) with drugs that are prescribed for her. She gave us a list today of what she took. Mersyndol Fort, Phenergan, Prozac, Gaberpentin, Clozapan and Methadone. Are these safe to be taken together under any circumstances? ## My daughter is on methadone for H addiction. She also takes large amounts all in one go of mersyndol tablets and, also same of paracetamol tablets. I need to know the effects of this as I am concerned. Can u help?

Just got a refill of metoprolol er succinate 50mg which used to have Watson listed as the manufacturer but now says Actavis. The pills look exactly the same and the imprint is the same with an 831 number but they stink like paint. Never had this before. The pharmacist checked the original container and that stinks too. Anyone else notice this? ## Hello, Mary! How are you? Most pills do have an odor, but many manufacturers use a coating on them to prevent patients from smelling it. Thus, I have to assume that when Actavis bought out many of Watson's products, they stopped coating them. It is, however, nothing to worry about, even though I know it may be annoying. The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased uri...

What is this drug used for? Is it given for colds and/or flu ? ## A better question to you is: after reading that is is an ANTI-INFLAMMATORY, at what point do you actually think it could possibly be used for the COLD OR FLU? Just wondering if you are REALLY that dense in the head ## Methylprednisolone is actually NOT an anti-inflammatory, either. It is a steroid, which can help with inflammation, but it has many other uses as well, such as treating allergic reactions. Some common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, weight gain and headache. You can read more here: Did you have any other questions? ## My chest was actually gurguling when methylpredislone was prescribed. It did NOTHING to improved the congestion, in fact, it made it worse because I could not cough up the phlem. ...

I'm taking a medical transcription course and I'm having trouble hearing a word. 8 mg isn't a common dose for most drugs, so I'm hoping someone can offer some suggestions. The word in question seems to end in did but sounds like it begins with a C or K possibly. My first thought was Dilaudid, and the medication could be for pain as it's for a post bone marrow transplant, but it really just doesn't sound like the speaker is saying that at all. ## I am sorry, I am really not finding anything else that has that dosage and ends with did. Dialudid does have an 8mg dosage, as well as several other medications, like Atacand for blood pressure. Does anyone else have any ideas?

I had a mild cough so i went to the pharmacy to get some antibiotic... Later to see he gave me 4 tablets (disprin, cobadex, celin and azithromycin). After taking all these now I'm feeling even more worse. For e.g.; increase in body temp, headache and body pain. Is it a side effect or some contraindication of combining all these drugs? ## All medications carry the risk of causing side effects. The NIH lists others as possibly including nausea, dizziness, stomach pain, dry mouth, and diarrhea. How are you doing, now? Has there been any change? Are these the only medications you take?

What medication is comparable to losartan hctz 100 25 mg at a much cheaper price? ## Hello, Rusty! How are you? You might want to ask your pharmacy if the price is any better if they are prescribed separately, rather than as one medication. You could also ask them the prices on others, such as the generic for Benicar HCT. This mediation is listed by the FDA as being most commonly used to treat high blood pressure and certain cardiac conditions. Its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, dehydration, increased urination and hypotension. Have you discussed the issue with your doctor? They may know what else is cheaper in your area.

Enalapril 20mg tab. Every other Enalapril generic tablet i have taken has a pink color to it. The Myla tablet is blue The pharmacist states the company Duane Reade changed suppliers. Is the blue tablet ok ? ## It is the markings on the tablet that identify it, however, the color doesn't mean anything. I am sure your pharmacist gave you the correct information. There is a 20mg tablet that is round, blue and has the marking of M over E18. Is there anything else I can help you with? ## I was diagnosed with high blood pressure last month. Subsequently I refilled my second prescription for LISINOPRIL 5MG Tab yesterday. The first prescription was a little tiny white pill (the size of a sacchrin table) - I had the second presciption filled at a different drug store - the new prescription i...

i have some pills with pa977 on it what is the name of this pill ## Can you please double check the marking? I can't find a listing for this in any of our U.S. prescription drug resources. There is always the possibility, however, that it may be something that is available over the counter and those products do not have to log their imprints with the FDA.

Dextroamp Amphet Er 30 mg combined with Zoloft 25 mg for a twelve year old boy with suspected ADHD. What will the results be? ## Hopefully this boy hasn't already taken the combination, as there are potentially dangerous interactions listed between these two medications. Quoted below are the precautions you should be aware of: "Talk to your doctor before using sertraline together with amphetamine/dextroamphetamine. Sertraline can increase the effects of amphetamine, and side effects such as jitteriness, nervousness, anxiety, restlessness, and racing thoughts have been reported. Combining these medications can also increase the risk of a rare but serious condition called the serotonin syndrome, which may include symptoms such as confusion, hallucination, seizure, extreme changes ...

I have been taking Amoxik Clav 875mg for bronchial infection for three days now and the only good change I have seen or felt is no more fever, but the congestion and coughing is still going strong, I can't sleep, or rest, my rib gage is so sore from the pounding of the cough, so I found this product I had forgot I had ordered earlier this yr. online, called Mucus Relief DM, it's an Expectorant: Guaifenesin Cough Suppressant: Dextromethorphan HBr This product Loosens & relieves chest congestion, controls cough, and is Dye free. My question is, is it competable with Amoxil Clav? ## That is normal, an antibiotic can treat the underlying infection that may have caused the bronchitis, but it isn't going to do anything for the symptoms, until the infection is actually eradicat...

I'm curious about the Lypin-10 that I got from JPEE Drugs. It's supposed to be Zolpidem. They are bright orange round pills in a blister pack of 10. ## This matches the description of their 10mg Lypin pills that are supposed to contain Zolpidem, as listed by JPee, however, I can't confirm that is what they are. That's one of the hazards or ordering from unapproved, foreign sources, there's no way to be certain of what you've received. Have you tried contacting the company you ordered from to double check? ## I have been using Ambien for years and recently received a pack of 10 mg. pills that have no marks and are BRIGHT ORANGE. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE be careful with generic forms of medications. Doctor's, Pharmacy's, Pharmaceutical companies and ESPECIALLY insurance companies will not always tell you that the formula has been changed when they transferred to generic, in fact I have had a Pharmacist and my Insurance company flat out lie to me. I nearly ended up in the emergency room, and nearly had a car accident when Watson pharmaceuticals purchased Avasta Pharmaceuticals; then dropped the Watson name (I suspect because they have multiple legal suits filed against them) Avasta altered the formula of 10/325 Oxycodone which I use for horrific Fybromyalgia pain. Because of the side affects, I nearly ended up in the ER, the disorientation almost caused me to have a car accident. ## Ellen, I have Fibromyalgia...

Taking 10mg. Amlodipine per day. Doesn't seem to help. Can I take more? ## Generally, I'd recommend discussing any dose related questions with your doctor, since he/she prescribed you a certain amount for a good reason. However I did come across some prescribing information for this drug, stating that the usual adult dose for hypertension is 5mg orally once a day, as an initial dose; and 5 to 10 mg orally once a day as a maintenance dose. Since you're already taking 10mg, talking to your doctor may still be something you'd want to go ahead and do; to find out if an increase above the "usual adult dose" is appropriate for your condition, and more importantly, safe for you. You can learn more about this drug on the page for Amlodipine Details I hope this helps!

Take linsopril 5mg1a day bupropion sr 150mg 2a day zonisamide 100mg 4a day birth control 1a day. Lost close to 20 lbs befor linsopril, but haven't been on it a month yet. Seem to have stalled out. Weight is VERY important issue (please don't ask why :) any thoughts? Body need to adjust? Pain/ can't workout like used to ## How long have you been taking the birth control? The reason I'm asking is because if you've been on it for awhile and just recently started the Lisinopril for blood pressure elevation, there's a chance that the contraceptives are what's causing the elevation and you may not need to take another medication. There's a chance it could be resolved by just stopping the hormonal contraceptives. Depending on how high it is, you may need a blood...

I am 22 years old and I have been on the following antipsychotic drugs for the past five years: Quitipin 25Mg (1) + Lamitor 50Mg (2) + Venlift 75Mg (1) + Bupron 50Mg (1). I had a few incidents in school due to which I was hospitalized for hyperventilation. My psychiatrist diagnosis was that I have bipolar disorder. Considering the amount of information that I have read online and from books and various posts on support groups, I'm not quite sure if I still have bipolar disorder or something else. I take five tablets a day and I feel like I've been on these tablets for way too long. I'm stable, I've just completed my masters and I'm going to start my career. It's that stage of my life where I'm unsure whether I should reduce these tabs now and undergo therapy ...
