I have taken 5 doses so far of amoxicillin/clavulanate (2/day) for a bacterial infection (lymphadenopathy, submandivular -Primary). I have a small crack in a tooth that is now hurting. Should I stop taking byetta while I am taking amox clav 875 mg? ## Hi Jane, Upon looking up drug interactions, I haven't come across any discrepancies listed between Amoxicillin clavulanate potassium and Byetta (Exenatide). So based off this intel alone, I don't see why you wouldn't be able to take the two together unless instructed otherwise by your doctor. I am 70 years old and was likely infected by 2 people coughing in a 1 1/2 hr bus ride in Cuba (poor recycled air). I got a sore throat within 24 hr then, laryngitis & cough for last 8 days & saw the ER MD in FL. Told them I am allergic to Penicillin and have Asthma. Can I continue the Rx & can I take Claritin for my allergies (mold, pollen, dust etc)? Is topical Aloe gel ok for a rash since the rash is systemic? Or should I go back to the ER for a different Rx? Is ok to go in Sun w/ spf 50?
