Is anyone retaking Chartwell Flurazepam and getting the same results as they had with Mylan? It did not work for me. I'm so depressed about it after being so happy that it is back on the market. Thoughts?

Want pictures of methadone different forms and colors thank you have a nice bless day ## Hello, Seehna! How are you? I'm sorry, but since Methadone is a generic, it is manufactured by several different companies, in various dosages and all such tablets will have different markings to enable their identification in case of emergency, thus, I can't possibly post pictures or descriptions of all of them for you. Do you have a specific pill you are questioning? If so, please post back with the markings on it, as well as its description and I will gladly research it for you to see what it contains. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. ## foot ball shaped/...

where can one find a chart that lists all the opiates and then compares them to the other opiates available, mg. to mg. That is, if I took a 30mg. oxycodone, and wanted to change over to another opiate for pain management, like diaulid, how much of the oxycodone in mg. equals diaulid 8 mg. Why are the letters I am reading on "Opiate" subject all saying, "just happened four years ago" (or more?) How do I read more current information and exchange comments based on recent formulations and newer released drugs? ## Short answer is that Dilaudid 8mg ~ 27mg Oxycodone. I had to do a bit of math for the answer. Of course this is just an estimate. Most conversion charts use Morphine as the baseline so you have to back into the calculations. Just in case you're interested in t...

I have been taken hydrocodone 10/325 up to 4 a day for several years now for chronic pain in my back and knees the hydro is not doing as good now as befor. The Dr changed me today to oxycodone 5-325 up to 4 a day. Can some please tell me how much of a difference it is going to be? Will I be able to tell the difference? I mean it looks the oxy is less mg. Can't seem to find a answer myself. Can I get some advise please? Thanks ## Hello, Georgia girl! How are you? I really can't say as to whether or not you will feel a difference, it really depends on your body. Oxycodone does work better for pain relief for some people, but not all. Additionally, the Hydrocodone is weaker, so you'd need 6.67mgs of Oxycodone to equal each 10mgs of the Hydrocodone that you were taking, so there...

I have been taking hydrocodone and oxycodone for chronic severe pain for several years and I feel completely satisfied when I can take the proper dosage established for my pain. I do not feel a need to raise the dose of this medication, once the right dose was given to me, that seemed high enough to "fix" my pain, that dose seemed to work, as long as I took it as prescribed, I was so thankful to be able to move again and not feel the serious pain getting in my way, it worked like a charm, and I really never felt any need to increase the amount or frequency of this medication even though I have taken it pretty much the same for almost 17 years, for extremely aggressive Osteoarthritis, with a lot of bone and joint damage, with fibromyalgia. I have had to have several joint replace...

My Dr. prescribed a pain pill for me to take every 6 hours. What are the times I should take them? Example: 8am, 2pm, 8pm? Does that sound accurate? Thank you. ## Hello Debbie! How are you? That would be every 6 hours, so yes, going by your chart, you are on the mark. What medication was prescribed? The FDA lists the typical side effects of most of them as possibly including nausea, dizziness, and headache.

Due to some mild anxiety and low level depression I was put on Viibryd two months ago to supplement the Wellbutrin 150mg I had been taking for a few years. I titrated up as scheduled from 10-20-40mg. Over the past six weeks my levels of stress and anxiety have climbed thru the roof, sleep has been awful, and sense of self-worth and usefulness has plummeted to levels I never felt before. Worst of all is a sense of depersonalization and complete loss of identity--it is very unsettling. I'm now down to 20mg and it's helping but as of today my doc has had me quit Viibryd altogether...substitute Zoloft whcih has worked for me in the past). Folks, I know that each of us have different reactions to various meds, but please watch for theses signs once you start on viibryd. ## Thanks for...

my 5 yr old was prescribed this by his doctor and when i gave it to him he got sick and threw up. wondering if i should give him a lower dosage ## Hello, Kristine! How is your son? The Hydrocodone in this is narcotic analgesic, so it can cause nausea as a side effect. Lowering the amount you give him will on hurt if it leaves him in pain. It may also cause other side effects, such as drowsiness, dizziness and constipation. Have you consulted his pediatrician? They may be able to prescribe something to prevent the nausea.

I had testosterone inj's. at my Drs, office and the chart only lists a lot number. How can I find out if these inj's. were generic or brand name drugs? ## @BillyG, From what I could gather, lot numbers are issued by the manufacturer of the medication. Apparently each batch of whatever product these manufacturers make are assigned this unique set of numbers to help them monitor and keep track of certain drugs that require recalls, shipping orders, or other important measures. One article I read suggested that it be thought of as a medication's social security number in that sense. I think the only way to know for sure what you were given at the doctor's office that day would be to call in or ask during your next appointment. I hope this helps!

We moved from Connecticut down to Florida, with medical charts in hand. We were told in Connecticut that we could go into any CVS/Walgreens stores to refill prescriptions, as it's a universal drug store. Now, I know the Duragesic Patch cannot be refilled through the system and must be handwritten and handed to the pharmacist. We complied with those rules (Florida having many!). We went to CVS, they looked up my mother's record and saw that she indeed has the Duragesic Patch. I handed them the script and it took them 10 long days to get it in. We then decided after that experience we would use Walgreens down the road from our home. We went in, explained the experience we had with CVS, they rolled their eyes and told us it would only take 3 days at the most with them. So, when it ...

How long does it take to leave the system? 1 x 25mg tablet once a day for one week? ## According to the drug half-life calculator here on MedsChat, Diethylpropion has an estimated half-life of 5 hours. Based on the chart linked below, a 25mg dose would (theoretically) be out of your system within an average of 3-5 days [if not, at the very least present in trace milligrams/micrograms): Diethylpropion HalfLife As disclosed in the half-life calculator, there are many other variables that could affect the accuracy of the charts; but I hope this at least helps provide a ball-park figure.

I wanting to know this because i have really bad panic attacks and i need to know which one will help me the fastest? ## Hi Kayla, Both medications are in the same drug class of benzodiazepines, but in terms of overall potency/strength mg for mg, there's really no truly accurate answer since drug equivalency charts don't take into account the fact that everyone responds to these types of drugs differently. Looking on various discussion threads comparing the two, I concluded that neither medication seems to have anymore clout than the other overall. However, from what I understand Lorazepam is reported to be longer lasting than Alprazolam. The best thing to do in my opinion would be to ask your doctor for a trial of either medication to see what works best for you over the course...

Is this also good for pain relief for neck pain. ## As far as small pains like neck pain from an accident. This drug is so not the best out of all the pain management type of things. They all have side effects that are some what simular and I know of only one person that I know that can take this drug without problems. For small things related to accidents, go with something else. I had all the side effects, my emoitions were off the chart, I lost my job within 3 days of taking this because I sat at my desk and cried for an hour after just one pill. I couldn't think, form sentences, I had a headache that was just incredible. There were alot more things I just can't remember all of them. Please remember people don't take these new drugs lightly. Research what the company says...

I'd like a chart/calendar to learn how to taper off 100 mg Savella. Cannot seem to find anything on the net. ## Jolene...what symptoms are you experiencing while coming off of Savella? I too, am coming down off of Savella and am sicker than I have ever been. ## Headaches - more than usual - teary eyed, more aches and pains. I'm going to try a Nature Sunshine product for Fibromyalgia. ## Due to the severe nature of withdrawals, in my honest opinion it would probably be wise to discuss this type of approach with your doctor. However, usually for drugs like this, the safest way to stop taking them is to wean off them if possible. Some medications can be taken in fractions (actually cut into pieces) and these smaller pieces can be taken in place of the regular dose for a period of s...

Which is stronger 8 milligrams of Dilaudid or methadone ## Appendix 1 in the following link displays a clinician's "equi-analgesic dosing guide equivalency table" that you may want to have a look at: ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1163279 My opinion based on the chart linked above is that because each drug's onset, duration of action, half life and overall potency are different, there's no easy/safe way to predetermine what an equivalent dose might be without undergoing the process of trial and error. Not to mention that some patients are also rapid metabolizers of certain opiates/opioids, which may offset any predetermined data we come up with in regards to drug efficacy. Having said that, I think even if someone else reported one or another to be stronger, the pa...

Where are doctors who have the guts to give scripts that work? Where are the 30s??? Stop hiding docs and do your jobs..... ## It's not the doctors nor the drugs. It's the drug addicts and dealers is as to why ppl who needs meds for real reasons can't get them. Plus in state of Virginia, all doctors now have to meet with the DEA every six months and go over every patients charts to see if that person needs prescribed meds. That patient must undergo a full pain evaluation once a year for DEA. If their problems, illnesses don't meet certain criteria then dr. has cut them off that drug or lose their lic. ## There are only a few doctors left to prescribe strong narcotics. These doctors are usually in a pain clinic. Doctors are becoming more and more afraid to write prescripti...
