Hi, I had irregular periods problem from the time i matured. I took treatment but that was never cured. Now I am married for 4 months. I met a gynaecologist in Apr and she put me on Dronis 20 to regularise my periods but when i started the tablets from the 1st day of my periods and completed all the 24 tablets but my periods has not stopped for 29 days now. i had trapic MF in between for 3 days (10 tabs),to stop but it never helped. From today i am on Regestrone 5mg to stop my periods for 3 weeks. and later when my periods starts in june again from 5th day i would be on Yasmin (27 Tablets). Now can u tell me if i am on proper medication or should i change my doctor. I am worried a lot. will my problem be solved. or did i get tghis problem due to Dronis 20? Hormonal contraceptive ## is dronis20 the same as yaz? ## am not a doctor. but i know dronis 20mg is same as yasmine. only diff is dronis is 24 days course and yazmine is 21 day course. content of drugs in boh is same. dronis is 24 days as one of the drug content in dronis is 0.02mg and in yasmine is 0.03mg. so dronis being 0.02mg is the course of 24 days. i konw this as my wife was pescribed with yasmine. and i have a friends pharmacy shop so he informed me. that the price if dronis is expensive compared to dronis. after tht i confirmed with my doctor tht yasmine is not available is dronis ok to take. he advised me its same u can take. ## I am 23 years old and doctor prescribed me Dronis20 as a contraceptive pill. My last date of periods was 14th Jan to 17th January 2012. Can I start taking Dronis 20 from today 29th January. Will it have its contraceptive effect ? ## If you start it at any time other than the start of your menstrual cycle, then you will need to take it continuously for at least 7 days, before it may be effective at preventing pregnancy. When did your doctor advise you to take it?

Hi i have pcos problem and my doctor suggested me dronis 30. Morover i m facing the acne problem all throughout my face. My doctor suggested that not only will dronis regularise my periods but will also clean the acnes. I have already taken 11 tablets but i don't see any visible changes with the acne on my face. For how long this medicine wll be continued so that we have regular periods without medicine.. ## How long it should be use for a regular period. ## It can vary from person to person, you should take it, as long as your doctor instructs you to do so. It really depends on your natural hormone levels and how off they have been. Hi doc, my age is 24, due to my pcod problem my gynocologist prescribed me dronis 20. I take that medicine from last 7 month. my gyne adviced me to take that medicine for more 2 year. Is it really safe?? ## This is an oral contraceptive and, unless you smoke, or have some other health condition that precludes it, you should be able to safely take it. Many women take them for 10, 15 or more years, with no problems. Have you discussed your concerns with your doctor?

Hi, I am 28 year old and I got married on march 2010.. I have started taking dornis 20 frm 21st of june which was my second day of period, before starting this pills i have done pregnancy test also which was negative. i have been prescribed Dronis 20 tablet by doctor.and i am taking this tablet regularly after dinner.i am married so i want to know that is Dronis 20 an contraceptive pill and it prevents unwanted pregnancy or should i have to take contraceptive pills for prevent pregnancy.. please reply . ## It prevents getting pregnant also. Make sure you would take it on the first day of his periods only. Hi, im 29 yrs about two years ago i had been prescribed Dronis 30 to help me balance my hormones as I have PCOS. I had a miscarriage last year (i wasnt taking this medicine that time but started again after a month). The problem is, if I stop taking this pill I start to gain weight rapidly! though it doesnt help me with weight loss but it keeps me balanced and prevents weight gain for sure. Now from last two months as soon as my 21 day packet finishes i start to bleed the very next day (usually it was after 5 days). I have stomach cramps and the bleeding is not proper and its more like spotting, also the color is more like brown mixed with some pus (something weird). i have missed my dronis 30 tablet for 3 days. now it had started an early period. what to do now? ## Hi, at this point you are no longer protected against pregnancy, so you'll need to use some other back up method of birth control for awhile, such as condoms, or abstain. It is also advisable to just start a new pack of pills, you will be protected from pregnancy again after you have taken them continuously for 7 days in a row.
