Looking for a doctor in Tampa, FL ADHD Ritalin Adderall
3 Replies RSS
New to the area and looking for a doctor who won't be a pain about prescribing Ritalin or Adderall for adult ADHD. ## Well, the best thing you can do is to make an appointment with a new doctor and not ask for any particular medication up front. You need to get in for an appointment first and then discuss your treatment options. However, since these are controlled substance medications, doctors do have to be careful about prescribing them, so you aren't going to find a doctor that will just be carefree and throw prescriptions at you. Learn more Ritalin details here. Learn more Adderall details here. Does anyone know of a doctor in this area that they can recommend? ## Hello,i know of this Doctor in Indiana from whom i bought some drugs from and he gave me prescribetion and derli... ...

I was prescribed adderall a while ago when I was in college I'm back in grad school & I'm a single mother w/limited insurance I really need to find a dr in md/dc who will perscribe it to me easily w/out a million drs appointments any recommendations would be helpful thxs ## Hi sjmom, To my knowledge, virtually any type of doctor can see you for ADHD (pediatrician, psychiatrist, regular MD). Whether or not they want to pursue treatment is up to them and if so they might go for another medication rather than Adderall. Chances are if you walk in and say you have ADHD, then ask for an Adderall script you won't get it because it is seen as what they call "drug seeking behavior". Some advice I can give you is to not specifically ask for any 'specific medication'... ...

finding a Doctor

I was seeing a Dr. for 3 yrs. that was prescribing Adderall for me ..it changed my life for the better ! The Dr. quit his practice and I have not been able to find a Dr. who will prescribe this drug ! I was taking a very low dose . I thought I would just do without and see how it goes ..it's been 6 months and I can feel myself slipping into depression and lethargy much like I've lived my whole life and I know I don't have to feel this way anymore ! I exercise ..and overall take very good care of myself. ## Adderall is not used to treat depression and lethargy, it is used to treat ADHD and doctors are not going to prescribe it for you without such a diagnosis. Have you tried antidepressants or therapy? ## before dr left his practice , did he not tell you beforehand, if so you... ...

Is there such a drug called vyvan and if so could you please tell me what it is prescribed for. is this a drug that can be easily bought on the streets or must someone go to a doctor to get this medication. I currently have a cousin who is taking this medication but I can't seem to find much about it on the internet. Thank you for your help. ## Its probably vyvanse. Its an ADHD medication. I dont know if its sold on the street. ## I think you may be talking about Vyvanse, which is an amphetamine used to treat ADHD, similar to adderall. Not sure, just throwing this out there. May be the reason you're not finding anything on the internet about it too? Hope this helps. ## I have to agree with Sandra, that is the most likely choice. Here's a link to more Vyvanse details.
