are there any pain medicine doctors in Alexandria Louisiana who take cash only? I have been in pain for 25 years, and with the new laws I cannot get help! I'll pay cash! I need help! ## SWIM, all you can do is call all the pain management drs there and ask. You will need a copy of current medical records with medical proof that there is a reason for you to need pain meds.

Ask if they accept cash pay patients, some do and some don't. You will need a copy of your medical records from your previous dr. If you were dismissed for breaking a pain contract or other rules, it will be very difficult, if not impossible to find a dr to manage your pain. ## Did you ever find a doctor that accepts cash paying patients/no insurance? I'm 36 years old I've been on methadone 120mgs daily for right at 10 years and rxc 30s for breakthrough pain and I call my Dr to verify my appointment and the nurse tells me..... yes but just to let u know he can't write narcotics anymore. I have been taking 120 mg of methadone for approximately 5 years. My husbands job transferred us from Florida to Louisiana where I found a pretty good pain doc. He is now running scared and wants to take me off of methadone. Methadone has given me a good quality of life; I am able to work and be a productive member of society. My doctor is unwilling or unable to assist me in finding a new doctor who will continue my meds. Oh yeah, I have been the route of blocks and injections and gotten little if any relief. I have been taking 120mgs methadone and 90mgs oxycodone per dium for20yrs....pain doctors come and go, but I'm here for the long haul. I got a call today informing me that my Dr. is closing up shop .We are to receive one months meds with NO referral for another Dr.that will per scribe these meds. Finding a Dr. in southeast Louisiana that will treat chronic pain with methadone is like looking for hen's teeth.I need a GOOD Dr....as I am truly in chronic pain (a #8 on the scale). You can try to find a pcp or other Medicaid Dr that will prescribe your pain meds but it will be difficult if not impossible. Others on Medicaid have to pay out of pocket every month for pain management.

Hello I'm new to these meds for withdrawals and addiction so years go by and by then I'm doing more run out early and be sick and in pain and keep a phone calling anyone I can for roxys30mg and 80mg oxys so I decided to go get off of them and I went to a methadone clinic and got put on 3 8mg Subutex and it did wonders for me but I had to stop going to the clinic drive 120miles everyday and pay $18for my dose of Subutex I live in Virginia and need a doctor for longterm so I stay off the opiates anyone no a good doctor to get Subutex on a monthly basis if so anyone plz let me no thanks ## I hope you have better luck there than you would here in Louisiana.
