I currently take Dexilant DR 60mg for acid reflux and I have 4 ulcers in my small Intestine. I dont seem to be getting any relief from the Ulcers. Does anyone have any suggestions? Im deperate. I was on Nexium 80mg's before I started the Dexilant. It too worked for a while than stopped. ## How long did you take them? It can take 12 to 16 weeks for these medications to help such conditions heal. When you are taking them, you should continue to take them for the full time your doctor has prescribed, even if you are still experiencing some symptoms. On the other hand, if you have actually tried them for the correct time period and they have not helped, you might need to try a different medication. They have put me on one of these and it didn't help me, at all, and in addition, due ...

runny nose sneezing stuffy nose common cold symptoms ## I'm sorry, I'm not sure I understand your post. Are you thinking the Dexilant is causing those side effects? Learn more Dexilant DR details here. Those aren't normal side effects that proton pump inhibitors cause. However, if you've been taking one for awhile, you can develop food and drug allergies much easier and that may cause those symptoms. How long have you been taking it?

switching from dexedrine 5mg to emsam patch 6mg 24 . for severe depression. doctor instructed 8 day washout. anyone did this before eight days long time without med except klonipin ## i assume that a "8 day washout" means not starting the emsam for 8 days after discontinuing the dexedrine. well, if your doctor said to, make sure you do. more to the point, emsam can be a wonderful drug but you really, really have to be careful because it has the potential for serious harm if used with certain pills/food. i've been on the same dose as you (6 mg patch every 24 hours) for 5 years. and the benefits have been tremendous-i spent literally 4 years trying what feels like every drug out there and none worked. but, again, it can be dangerous so avoid certain foods that can be looked up...

I live in Newport News Va. I have been taking Dexedrine for 20 years for narcolepsy. I took my prescription to 7 pharmacies today. No pharmacy had any. Can anyone help? ## Hi vickie, Sorry to hear about your challenges with getting this prescription filled. From an outside perspective, I think your best bet would be to contact the manufacturer in order to see which pharmacies carry their dexedrine. I get the feeling that they would know who the biggest buyers of their products are and when they intend to ship out more of a particular medication to a said pharmacy. Hopefully that information isn't considered confidential though. Other than this approach, the only recourse seems like it would be a lot calling or driving around as you've probably already been doing too much of as i...

I have fibromyalgia...4 yrs. now...After 2 days of dexilant DR. 60 mg. I had pain all over my body... Took 1/2 vicodin and it abated..Question...is it the dexilant?...or more of the fibromyalgia? ## Have you consulted your doctor? Dexilant contains the active ingredient Dexlansoprazole, it is a proton pump inhibitor used to help reduce the amount of acid produced by the stomach. And no, it shouldn't cause that type of pain, but there's really no way to know how any medication is going to affect anyone that takes it, therefore you should consult your doctor to get to the root of the problem.

Why are amphetamines so difficult to get prescribed when you suffer from disabling cfs? These are the only thing that help to have a life. ## Hello, Angie! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem you're having. But the reasons are due to the facts that this medication tends to be habit forming and is very commonly abused, thus most doctor's are reluctant to prescribe such stimulants. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability and mood swings. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Many people can get addicted to stimulants. Also their is a "responsibility" to maintain the person using the drugs.

Navigating the maze that is Dexedrine Generics is painfully complicated. Here are some tips. Everyone has their preference when it comes to medications like Dexedrine and Adderall. I happen to believe that the Brand Name drug is preferable to the generics, but the price is just astronomical. Dexedrine ER Capsules (Amedra) are priced at about $1300 for a bottle of # 90. The right to manufacture generic versions of the brand medication is spread among a number of companies, and changes constantly as companies are sold and resold to different holding groups. As for Generic Dexedrine: in 2010 Corepharma purchased the right to make Dexedrine from GlasxoSmithKline. CP then offered Brand Dexedrine (made by one of their divisions, Amedra) and generic Dextroamphetamine Sulfate - under the CP lab...
