Can I double up on my first dose of Bactrim to jump start the attack on my infection? ## I would be very careful about doubling up on the first dose, due to the fact of possible allergic reaction to the medication, which is significant'y higher with sulfur based drugs. ## Though this is an old post, I would like to add that doubling up is not a good idea, for more reasons than just the worry of an allergic reaction. So I'm in a rehab and on methadone. There is a female here "jen" who WAS on methadone a few years ago...so one day after going to the clinic on her way home she gets into a car accident and the other cars driver dies, it's not the victims fault either, it was jens....Jen is saying it was the clinics fault, that they double dosed her. Apparently the computers were down blah blah blah. I really don't buy it that she was double dosed. If they manually dose u, they have another nurse right next to them verifying the dose.... I've been taking 300 mg of Gabapentin for a while now in the evenings for a couple of pinched nerves. Recently though the affects are not as noticable so I've not been sleeping very well. I have been on Topamax for about 4 months and am now having double vision. I was taking 25mg a day and was told by my eye dr and neurologist to stop taking it. I was taking it to prevent migraines.
