I cannot remember why it was prescribed and my daughter has phlegm and is congested. ## Is this a prescription or over the counter syrup that you have? The active ingredients listed (Brompheniramine and Pseudoephedrine) are found in a lot of OTC and RX medications. Because of that the dosing instructions will vary based on the specific brand and there should be something listed on the bottle. This a combination cough suppressant, antihistamine, and decongestant for treating symptoms of the common cold, flu, & allergies. How do I take this decongestant? How many and how often for adult dossage. No longer have box. On the back of the plastic foil packaging reads: Guaifenesin 400mg Pseudoephedrine HCI 40mg Mfd by LNK INT INC Hauppauge, NY 11789 Lot# P73879 ## Hi Lauri, I went ahead and posted the dosing instructions from Walgreens (for this medication) below: "adults and children 12 years of age and older: take 1 tablet every 4 hours, with a full glass of water, while symptoms persist.
