IFollowing my quadruple bypass I continued to take Oxycodone for the past 18 months. Is it ok to stop taking it or are there withdrawl dangers involved? Is daxid equivalent to zoloft can I use the zoloft as a equivalent to daxid ## Yes, they both contain the active ingredient Sertraline, so they are interchangeable, as long as the doses are the same. ## I've been taking this pill which i was told would help me sleep. They're Trazodone HCL 50mg tabs. It says on the bottle that it's for insomnia. Is this a sleeping pill and what does it do? My father is having heart problems. He has also undergone stents. He is taking Deplat CV. I just wanted to know when should the medicine be taken for best results, day or night and after or before meals? ## There is no specific time of day that is better, whenever it is convenient for him should be fine, as long as he doesn't miss any doses, unless his doctor instructs otherwise. It may cause nausea, as a side effect, if that occurs taking it with meals may help prevent that, according to the NIH. Other side effects may include dizziness, headache, joint/muscle pain, and increased risk of bleeding. Is there anything else I can help with?

I just got on Lyrica 50mg twice a day and my pain has pretty much dissapeared. I have been reading alot of really bad stories about it, but everyone seems to be taking much higher doses than i am, i was wondering if anyone knows if i stay on a low dose if i will have these horrible side effects i have read about ## Actually, the worse of the side effects should be experienced during the first month of us, they start to taper off and get less severe after that, except for in some rare cases. I've never heard of it helping with such a thing, usually, the active ingredient in it, which is Meclizine, causes memory loss with long-term use of high doses, as reported by the FDA, especially in the elderly. I have been in Stage 3 colon cancer remission for 5 years. Side effects from chemo have done a lot of nerve damage. My Doc put me on Lyrica the day before yesterday, 3/19/12 and after 2 tablets I have extreme vomiting, called my doc and he told me not to take anymore; yet even today I have extreme vomiting and can not keep anything down, my stomach is killing me. Hopefully after today I will be better. Again just 2 doses of this stuff, wow. Good luck to those taking it, because I have been on many of strong meds, and this one is out of the park. I took citalopram 20mg two days in a row without being prescribed it. I learned that I can't just stop taking it whenever, so I wanted to stop now before my body becomes accustomed to it. after taking chantix for the first month a delay in my prescription refill caused me to not have chantix for 3 days. At what dosage should I resume taking it? ## Hi Buck, According to the Chantix site, If you miss a dose you should take it as soon as you remember. I accidentally took my morning medicine again tonight. That is 2 doses of amlodipine and losartan. I can't get my Adderall XR refill for 2 days. I take it as prescribed once per day. I didn't realize the script I had on hand was from over a month ago. I take 40mg of viibyrd every day. I am really bad about getting my refills when they run out until I missed 3 days of viibyrd!! Omg I was so sick it was terrible! wORST headache of my life, chills, puking and thought I was gonna die! I am not exaggerating!!! Needless to say that's one refill I never forget!!! can anybody tell me if they are prescribed more than 250mg per day for nuvigil. I take a 250 mg tablet at 8 a.m. and feel like I need another by 2:00 in the afternoon......my day does not end until around 8:oopm --- I gotta be alert, alive and active till then. I was taking Dexedrine for this "breakthrough" period, but that can not be had anywhere!...it's missing on the market, nobody (pharmacies) can get it anymore. Nuvigil has been a miracle med for me, as many of my other psych meds cause extreme fatigue, pdoc prescribed this.....miraculous, not to mention helping me lift out of a two year depression....between this med (nuvigil) and Latuda---my life has finally changed....just trying to work out the kinks. which is stronger oxycodone-acetaminophen 10-650 mg oroxycodone 15mg 1mm rel?and are these same as generics you get because if insurence? ## The 15mg immediate release contains 15mgs of Oxycodone, it is the generic for OxyIR. The other one you mentioned contains 10mgs of Oxycodone and 650mgs of Acetaminophen, the active ingredients in Percocet. Thus, in reference to the Oxycodone, the immediate release one is stronger, however, which one is better for you depends on what condition is being treated. If your condition involves swelling that is contributing to the pain, then the one with the Acetaminophen will be more helpful, since it can help reduce inflammation.
