Hi Iam a seizure patient & I also take methadone for chronic pain, but I have realized that it is taking the methadone out of my body, I want to know if there are any seizure meds that do not block Methadone Thank you Cindy I take phenabarbatol for seizures ## ok let me refrase my question for some feed back Iam a seizure patient & I take phenabarbatol for the seizures. I also take methadone for chronic pain. I have dicorvered that the phenabarb is removing the methadone from my body, & it is making for me to have to be on very large amounts of methadone. IFollowing my quadruple bypass I continued to take Oxycodone for the past 18 months. Is it ok to stop taking it or are there withdrawl dangers involved? Please note I entered my wrong email adress on my previous question. This is the correct one. ## The question here is what is the strength and how often a day are you taking Oxycodone? I am not a physician but I am in the medical field and do deal with medication on a daily basic. My advise is to talk with you physician regarding this. There is a possibility having taken this drug for 18 months, that you may experience some withdrawl. The other thing is if you are truly in severe pain (because this is the only reason you should be taking this medication). Then you probably still need it. However this drug is highly additive, and often ti...

Is daxid equivalent to zoloft can I use the zoloft as a equivalent to daxid ## Yes, they both contain the active ingredient Sertraline, so they are interchangeable, as long as the doses are the same. The NIH lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and weight gain. Is there anything else I can help with?

## I've been taking this pill which i was told would help me sleep. They're Trazodone HCL 50mg tabs. It says on the bottle that it's for insomnia. Is this a sleeping pill and what does it do? I sleep 10-12 hours and I only take 1/2 the tablet. ## The thing about trazadone is it is actually an antidepressant, but only in high doses built up over a period of time(this level must be maintaind to be theraputic). But one of the side effects is extreme drowsiness, but if taken regularly your tolerencn will build up.Mine builds up after a period of time and I have to stop taking it for 6 months in order for it to b effective for me.But overall it does its job for sleep,I have been taking it for 5 years ## Just like the trance song, I can't get no sleep. That is how I feel every ni...

My father is having heart problems. He has also undergone stents. He is taking Deplat CV. I just wanted to know when should the medicine be taken for best results, day or night and after or before meals? ## There is no specific time of day that is better, whenever it is convenient for him should be fine, as long as he doesn't miss any doses, unless his doctor instructs otherwise. It may cause nausea, as a side effect, if that occurs taking it with meals may help prevent that, according to the NIH. Other side effects may include dizziness, headache, joint/muscle pain, and increased risk of bleeding. Is there anything else I can help with?

I just got on Lyrica 50mg twice a day and my pain has pretty much dissapeared. I have been reading alot of really bad stories about it, but everyone seems to be taking much higher doses than i am, i was wondering if anyone knows if i stay on a low dose if i will have these horrible side effects i have read about ## Actually, the worse of the side effects should be experienced during the first month of us, they start to taper off and get less severe after that, except for in some rare cases. If you haven't had any really bad ones, so far, then you are probably doing okay with it and might only experience them if you have to increase your dosage. Also remember that medications affect different people in different ways, so you may never experience some of the problems that other people...

I started taking oxicodone after my quadruple bypass and I have been taking1mg every other day for about 18 months. Is it dangerous to stop taking it altogether? Are ther any serious withdrawl symptoms? ## Just made an error in posting my email this is the correct one ## I post my reply to the other thread. but I wanted to add that every one is different, and that is can be more habit forming for some than others. I took it for 8 months, for two shattered disc in my neck, (6 months prior to surgery and 2 months after surgery. I hated taking it because I would become nauses (had to take a drug for that). It also made me feel like I could climb the walls. I'm the less likely type for anything to become habit forming. So one morning I decided that I would take to Aleve and let the Oxy ...

Can vertin medicine help with memory ## Hello, Nelisa! How are you? I've never heard of it helping with such a thing, usually, the active ingredient in it, which is Meclizine, causes memory loss with long-term use of high doses, as reported by the FDA, especially in the elderly. Other possible side effects may include drowsiness, dry mouth and sedation. Is there anything else I can help with?

I have been in Stage 3 colon cancer remission for 5 years. Side effects from chemo have done a lot of nerve damage. My Doc put me on Lyrica the day before yesterday, 3/19/12 and after 2 tablets I have extreme vomiting, called my doc and he told me not to take anymore; yet even today I have extreme vomiting and can not keep anything down, my stomach is killing me. Hopefully after today I will be better. Again just 2 doses of this stuff, wow. Good luck to those taking it, because I have been on many of strong meds, and this one is out of the park. I too was bouncing into the walls after my 2nd dose. Very strong stuff is all I have to say. ## Actually, it's not a very strong medication, which is why the dosages for people can be taken relatively high on it. It usually works at very low...

I took citalopram 20mg two days in a row without being prescribed it. I learned that I can't just stop taking it whenever, so I wanted to stop now before my body becomes accustomed to it. Will I have any major problems with this? ## Hello, Phil! How are you? No, there shouldn't be any major problems after just two doses, but if you're concerned, please speak to your doctor. Celexa is an SSRI antidepressant and stopping them abruptly, after being on them for awhile, risks causing rebound anxiety and depression. Typical side effects, as listed by the FDA, may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and weight changes. Is there anything else I can help with?

after taking chantix for the first month a delay in my prescription refill caused me to not have chantix for 3 days. At what dosage should I resume taking it? ## Hi Buck, According to the Chantix site, If you miss a dose you should take it as soon as you remember. That being said, I would just stick with your normal dosage and pick up where you left off. You can view their webpage for more info: chantix.com/how-to-take.aspx I hope this helps!

I was recently told of a new medication from my physician that would help with my chronic back pain.this medicine is supposed to be eqivalent to four hydrocodones.please inform me of the name of this medication so i can research it.thank u ## It sounds like Zohydro. It came out last year. It is hydrocodone extended release with no tylenol. You take one tablet every 12 hrs. ## @Edge, According to the Oxford Journal of Analytical Toxicology, Hydromorphone (Dilaudid) is reported to be approximately 4 to 6 times more potent than Hydrocodone. So this sounds like it may be one suspect as well. However, I suppose if you were to take a high enough dose of Zohydro ER relative to whatever dose of Hydrocodone/APAP you're comparing it to, then you could easily end up taking 4x (or more) than th...

I accidentally took my morning medicine again tonight. That is 2 doses of amlodipine and losartan. What can happen? ## Generally, it is not dangerous, if only done on the rare occasion, but it can vary from person to person, so it is always best to inform your doctor to be sure. The FDA does warn that doubling up may cause you to experience more side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, and hypotension. How are you doing? Did you experience any adverse effects? ## I accidently took a 5 mg and a 10 mg Amlodipine with my losartan I was in a hurry this morning then put fishing and bout 3 hours ago every time I stood up I felt like I was gonna pass out and dizzy I will never make that mistake again just got home feel crappy but my bp is 115/73 and heart rate 85...

I can't get my Adderall XR refill for 2 days. I take it as prescribed once per day. I didn't realize the script I had on hand was from over a month ago. Will I have a problem missing Sat and Sunday doses until I can get ahold of my doctor? ## I don't want to seem alarmist or cause you to worry, but it is possible that you may start to experience mild withdrawal symptoms if you are going for 2+ days without your usual dose. One good thing you have going for you is the fact that you are taking it once per day as prescribed, so it's not like you've been dosing your body at abnormally high amounts. I found an article about this on WebMD which states: "Signs of withdrawal usually show up a day or two after you stop taking it. They may last a few days to several weeks ...

Hi, I am 30 yrs... I have continuous bleeding for 10 days to 15 days in my period. Dr. advised me to take Regestrone. So plz tell me the use of Regestrone..what is it doses, please...Help me out... ## Hello, Muskan! How are you? Regestrone contains the hormone progesterone, which is vital to the female menstrual cycle. In many cases of prolonged bleeding, such as what you're experiencing, it's due to the woman not ovulating and producing enough progesterone naturally, it lets the estrogen build the endometrial lining far too thickly. Thus, it would be best for you to try it according to your doctor's instructions. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Hi.. I was having the same problem.. which is stronger oxycodone-acetaminophen 10-650 mg oroxycodone 15mg 1mm rel?and are these same as generics you get because if insurence? ## The 15mg immediate release contains 15mgs of Oxycodone, it is the generic for OxyIR. The other one you mentioned contains 10mgs of Oxycodone and 650mgs of Acetaminophen, the active ingredients in Percocet. Thus, in reference to the Oxycodone, the immediate release one is stronger, however, which one is better for you depends on what condition is being treated. If your condition involves swelling that is contributing to the pain, then the one with the Acetaminophen will be more helpful, since it can help reduce inflammation. Side effects are similar to both, since they both contain Oxycodone and may include: nausea, drowsiness, dry mouth and constip...
