How many Gen Payne tablets are safe to take at a time? ## Hello Andrew, According to the manufacturer's website the suggested dosage for Gen Payne capsules is 1-2 capsules every 4 hours not to exceed 12 capsules within 24 hours. As this medication is prescription only I strongly suggest that you contact your doctor to ensure that you are taking the dosage that he/she recommends for you as there may be other factors that will determine if the manufacturer's suggested dosage will work best for you. What are the age requirements for this medication? ## Gen Payne contains the active ingredients Ibuprofen, Paracetamol and Codeine, which is a narcotic pain reliever. Since it does contain a narcotic, it would be advisable not to give it to children, unless a doctor has specifically instructed you to do so. And, in the case of elderly people, their body may metabolize the medication differently, so they may require a lower dosage.
