I have been suffering from antral erosions and small haital hernia. And i have been using rabonik plus for four weeks and pantocid L for next 3 weeks(till today 24th may). Doctor advised me to continue pantocid for one more week. Many researches say that long term usage of proton pump inhibitors causes many side-effects and health problems. How long can i keep using them safely without getting addicted and without side effects.

I have a burning sensation in my stomach and some heart burn as well. I am a type 2 Diabetic patient since 30 years. I was recently dignosed H. Pylori positive and was advised to take Tab Pantocid 40 mg (bd) + Tab Amoxicillin 1000mg (bd) + Tab Clabid 500mg (bd) for fourteen days. On the second day of starting this medication, I was feeling sluggish, fatigue, gas from mouth and slight feeling of nausea. I was suffering from Oesophagal reflux from quite a long time and one Ranitidine tablet daily controlled it. A few months back, I consulted my doctor and told her of other problem of constant wetness in the nostrils and an occasional runny nose. She said that all my complaints were that of an allergic condition and asked me to discontinue Ranitidine and have one Pantocid tablet daily in the morning.
