I have a bottle of hydrocodone/acetaminophen 7.5-325 15ml. I am use to taking a high dose of tablets at once because my body is so used to it. If i take the liquid, how much would I take for it to work? ## Hello, Lilly! How are you? You really can't keep taking such high amounts, at once, you're far exceeding the dosage limits for the Acetaminophen, which is only 1,000mgs maximum per dose. 6 tablets would be 1,950mgs per dose. It's also not safe to exceed 3,000mgs of Acetaminophen a day, due to the risk of liver damage, liver failure or fatal toxicity. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Thus, for your own safety, ...

I Found a blottle that read HYDROCODOE/APAP ELX PMA I was just curious as to how strong it was, it's yellow..If that matters any. ## I'm thinking the "ELX" probably stands for Elixir, which is liquid. And from what I could gather, Hydrocodone Bitartrate + Acetaminophen Oral Solutions come in dosages of: 7.5 mg/500 mg per 15 mL. I noticed that this dosage has yellow dye in it as well if that helps: "In addition, the liquid contains the following inactive ingredients: ammoniated glyyerrhizin, dibasic sodium phosphate, citric acid, ethyl maltol, polyethylene glycol, propylene glycol, purified water, saccharin sodium, sodium citrate, sodium benzoate, sodium gluconate, sorbitol solution, with D&C Yellow No. 10 and FD&C Yellow No. 6 as coloring, and natural and art...

I have 7.5-325/15ML - How many ML would it take to equal one pill of hydrocodone? ## Hello, Katie! How are you? From what you've listed the dosage is 7.5mgs of Hydrocodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen per 15mls, so that would be the same as taking the same dosed tablet. However, you should not exceed the given dosage instructions. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Sooooo is that one tablet for every 15mls? ## 15 ml is one 7.5 pill. A 5 oz bottle is almost equal to 9.5 pills.

What would be the milligram in pill form of a 150 homatropine /hydroco 1.5-5mg/5ml liq ml ## Hello, Steve! How are you? The pill form would be the same dosage, 5mgs of Hydrocodone and 1.5mgs of Homatropine. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic cough suppressant, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## How much of that same liquid would i take to equal a 10/325 hydrocodone? ## If the dosage is the same as stated by the original poster of 1.5/5 per 5ml then it would take 10ml and you would be getting 3mgs of the cough suppressant homatropine and 10mgs of hydrocodone.

how many pills is this eqiulent to ## Hi John, The milliliters (ML) refers to the size of the container, or dosage, but doesn't provide enough information to answer your question. Are you reffering to Hydrocodone APAP 7.5/500 liquid? If so, I can tell you that 1 tablespoonful of Hydrocodone APAP 7.5/500 liquid would be the equivalent of one Hydrocodone APAP 7.5/500 tablet. The intention is to give 7.5mgs of Hydrocodone and 500mgs of Acetaminophen in each dose. If i add water to fill the bottle up more in liquid hydrocodine will it be noticeable that i added water to it? ## It most likely will be, because it will affect it in three ways. It can thin out the consistency of it, it can dilute the flavor and it can also dilute the color, so it's usually very noticeable when such a thing is done. Learn more Hydrocodone details here. Add to that the fact that you're going to be lowering the dosage in the given amount, so it won't work as well and it's just not something you can easily get away with. How much hydrocodone 7.5-325 tablets is equal to one ounce of liquid hydrocodone of the same strength? Thank you ## You measure Liquid Meds by ml and cc. On the prescription bottle it states something like 5 ml equals Hydrocodone 7.5 mg/Acetaminphen 325 mg. 1 ml equals 1 cc. It is always best to use a spoon or syringe that is designed to be used to measure liquid meds. Regular spoons vary too much and you can't be sure of the dosage.

My son is 11 months old and had surgery and was prescribed hydro/APAP for his pain. It is 7.5/325 in 15ml. The pharmacy calls it Tylenol 4. I'm just wondering if this is really safe to use on an 11 month old. ## Tylenol 4 is 60 mg Codeine and 325 mg Acetaminophen. It sounds like the prescription is for hydrocodone 7.5 mg/Acetaminophen 325 mg. There is Hydrocodone 7.5 mg/Acetaminophen in Each 5 ml. ## I don't know what type of surgery but that's too much for an 11 month old,I would try plain tylenol,if it doesn't help,I would half the dosage on the hydrocodone. ## My son had posterior medial releases on both feet(tendon release for clubfoot ) and also tissue removed from the bottom of his feet because of his extremely high arches which contributed to his clubfoot. The sur...

Liquids degrade pretty fast, so they are only viable and effective for a short period of time. As to the dosage, you didn't provide details on the amount of Acetaminophen, so I can't provide you with an accurate answer. Can you please post back with his additional detail? Thanks!

Unless I am misunderstanding your question, if so, I do apologize and ask that you post back and clarify. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Learn more Norco details here. My doctor prescribed the liquid hydrocodone/APA 7.5-500mg/15ml to me for pain. The pharmacy label says to take 1 TEASPOON every 6 hours. This seems unusual given that this dosage seems to be most often given in 15ml doses as opposed to the 5ml in a teaspoon. I took it as the label recommended and honestly can't tell a bit of difference. Is it possible that the pharmacy mislabeled? Based on what I have read, I should be safe to 15ml at a time, right? I sure would like to take the full dose tonight so I can finally get some rest. ## What does the pharmacy list for the dosing amounts in the 5ml? Did you check to see if they substituted? They sometimes do that if they don't have the dosing form that your doctor prescribed in stock. Have you called the pharmacy to ask? If they just m...

I have RSD in both legs due to several back surgeries. I was diagnosed in 1993 and have lived in pain for many years. My question is, I was doing pretty good with hydrocodone, Tylenol (7.5/3.25) ev 4 hrs. Even missing a dose every now and then, my RSD was mostly under control. I was changed to pill form (10/3.25) ev 6 hrs and ever since then (3 days ago), I have been in severe pain, in my legs and now under my feet. What made the difference? My pharmacist will not get the liquid form for me due to the cost to them. I may have to go out of town to get it. We live in a small town. ## Your pain might be do to the change in dosage timing, since you went from 4 hours to 6 hours, but it is hard to say. Which is the most potent down to the least potent? ## Hello, Bog Dog! How are you? The colors don't actually mean anything, so I can't provide you with any information based on that. Nor can I go through and list all the cough syrups on the market, their ingredients and dosages, there are far too many. This one doesn't contain Codeine, anyway, the narcotic in it is actually Hydrocodone, which is stronger than Codeine. Learn more Hydrocodone details here.
