How can I maximize the effectiveness of this medication? It does not always work as prescribed but my doctor does not want to change my medication at this time. ## I find that taking a 50mg Tab with a 500 mg Tylenol on an empty stomach works best. Drink lots of water! Eat about two hours after. Works well with a 4mg Tizanidine (muscle relaxer too). Sometimes I split the tab to 25mg w/2 Tylenol as a trade off. I have 3 level ACDF Surgery coming up so not taking NSAIDS. Holistic treatments: Epson Salt Baths and products by Dr. Teal Epson Salt Brand. Low cost at WalMart. Heat wrap for neck. White oblong tablet with 2 horseshoes & scoring on 1 side & 201 on the other side ## A white oblong tablet with the marking UU separated by a score on side and the numbers 201 on the other side is manufactured by Forest Pharmaceuticals and they list it as containing 7.5mgs of Hydrocodone and 650mgs of Acetaminophen (NDC 0785-1122). This dosage is no longer available, because the FDA changed the regulations and now require all combination medications to contain no more than 325mgs of Acetaminophen per dose, to reduce the risk of Acetaminophen toxicity. The FDA warns that this class of medications carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as headache, dry mouth, constipation, dizziness, and headache. Is there anything I can help with? ## wat is this wh...

Hi I rescued a horse and it has a puncture wound in her breast area looks like maybe for a t post can I give her Bactrim DS 800-160 tab and if so how many should I crush in her food?? Thanks!! ## Hi CC, Sorry to hear about your horses condition. From what little bit I'm finding, some people suggest giving one 800/160 mg. Bactrim tablet per 100 lbs of horse (basing their dosage on the weight of the horse). Although I'd imagine this number could vary greatly depending on the severity of the condition. I also realize you posted this almost a week ago, but it sounds like your best bet would probably be to consult a veterinary clinic who specializes in horse treatment. You can learn more about this drug on the page for Bactrim Details I wish your horse well and hope it improves soon!

Can this pain med be Givin to dogs ? ## Hi Jack, Unfortunately I can't seem to find any specific details on a medication by the name of Torbutinic. Did you mean to say "Torbugesic" (butorphanol tartrate)? Torbugesic is widely recognized for veterinary use in treating pain, so I wonder if this could be what you're referring to... From what I've read, it's often used in dogs, as well as cats and horses. Hope this helps to answer your question! ## Torbutinic is when they mix a vitamin supplement with torbutol. The vitamin the use is Pet Tinic, with the torbutol name you get the name torbutinic. My dog has taken it. But the dosages would vary per dog.

I have a 4 year old Rat Terrier nuetered male who is mostly layed back, but can be playful at times. The problem I have with him is his obsessive chewing and scratching himself like a dog infested with fleas, but I have checked, my vet checked him and he wears a flea and tick collar. I can find no other signs of bugs, scabs or hot spots on him either, but it is really disturbing and bothersome that he is constantly digging at himself. A friend of mine who is a dog breeder and has a boarding kennel suggested dosing him with Fulvicin U/F as she has used it on some of her Poms with the same problem. I have used this on miniature horses, but it was for ringworm and my dog shows not signs of that. How safe is it to use on my dog, and in what dosage? Thanks for any help, Gary
