I was prescribed Metoprolol 13 years ago for a high/fast pulse rate,i was also prescribed Lisinopril 20 mg. for high blood pressure at the same time. Now that i have been diagnosed with Raynauds Syndrome,my rheumatologist has suggested replacing Met0prolol with Nifedipine XL 30 mg.My primary care doctor would not allow me to go off of Metoprolol without consulting a cardioligist. Cardioligist said decrease dosage to 12 1/2 mg.a day for 10 days and then stop taking it and give my body a break before starting Nifedipine XL.I also take an 81 mg aspirin every day and 4 Aleve 220 mg.for osteoarthritis every day.I need to have surgery on my nose so i had to go off of aspirin and Aleve and just take acetaminophen. All of this is happening at the same time;is Metoprolol withdrawal as well as not ...

I have been on the same dose of synthroid for the last 14 years 200mcg. I previously had Graves many years ago, had radiation to stop the goiter hence the high dose of the medication. I am levels are checked routinely and the last 2 tests show my thyroids is alittle overactive so my dose was lowered. I had a total hysterectomy 2 years ago. What could have caused the change? ## It might just be due to the changes that have occurred in your body as time has passed. Our bodies do change regularly and sometimes a medication has to be changed, or the dosage adjusted. It's perfectly normal and actually quite amazing that you were doing so well with the same dose for that many years. Learn more Synthroid details here. I'm looking for dosage information for a 7 year old. My niece is puking (exuse the language), and I can't seem to find the correct dosage information for kids who are over 5 years, under 12 years. I have the phenergan(promethazine), 50mg. We cut it into 12.5 mg quarters, and we're trying to get her to keep one quarter down. This drug has done absolute wonders in the past, both in tablet and suppository formulations. It can really save a trip to the hospital for dehydration, if you get it into the system early enough. I just can't remember the dosage for someone her size. ## Hi Gary.... I am not sure when you posted this, but just as a FYI, 12.5 mg is fine for her age. If she has never had it before then just keep a close watch on her and any breathing changes the first f...

How much eno should be given to 5 year old kid to relieve stomach pain? ## ENO is an over the counter antacid containing sodium bicarbonate (baking soda), and citric acid. According to the manufacturer's product page, "ENO powder is indicated for adults and children who are at least 12-years-old." Source: eno.co.in/eno-faq That said, you may have to look at other alternatives for your 5-year-old. On a side note, I never knew a child who couldn't have baking soda... Hope this helps!

Mox 500 mg twice daily for how many days to be given. For Asthma patient Mox 500mg or Mox Clav 375 which one is most advicable ## Neither! Amoxicillin, in either formulation, is an antibiotic and it is only effective at treating infections. Asthma is caused by inflamed airways due to allergies and other adverse stimuli, so an antibiotic is not going to help with it. Doctor gave him Amoxicillin 11ML 3times a day for 7 days. this sounds like a lot, just wondering is this the usual dosage for a 6 and a half year old?? ## At his age, it is dosed by weight and the severity of the infection, so you should administer it as his doctor has directed. The U.S. FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash, and diarrhea. Is there anything else I can help with? ## My 6-year-old son has a throat infection. His weight is 46lbs. They gave him amoxicillin 500 mg and they said to give him 5mL every 12 hours. Do you still make verapamil 240mg 12 hour? I have been taking this dosage for years. What would I expect if I start taking the 24 hour tablet? Called 2 pharmacies and they do not carry the 12 hour dose. ## Hello, Mary! How are you? I'm sorry, but this website does not manufacture any medications, it is an information only resource. There really shouldn't be a lot of changes switching from one to the other, except for only taking one pill daily, rather than two. Has your doctor okayed the switch? Side effects to this medication may include nausea, dizziness, headache, stomach pain, cough and hypotension.

I have been on 150mg Nuvigil per day for several years. Previous to that, I was on Provigil , but the insurance co. made the dr. switch me over to Nuvigil because it was supposedly less expensive. I am chronically ill and disabled with many health issues and have been this way for 10 yrs. I am also on 12-14 other meds. daily, many which make me drowsy - thus the need for Nuvigil. Recently , one of my other prescriptions(that has drowsy side effects) was increased, I don't know if it's a result of that or it's because I have been on it for so long, but it's not working as well as it used to. It may be a combination of both. I plan on calling my dr. first thing tomorrow, because I cannot keep my eyes open starting around approx 8 hrs. after taking my dose. I cannot stand b...

I have been on this since I was 12 years old and I am 44 now. ## Hello, Teresa! How are you? It is always best to follow your doctor's instructions. Hi there- I have suffered from M.E. for 11 years- which, I know, has very similar symptoms to hypothyroid- Anyway, I had to have blood tests done for a private clinic in 2010- My GP did these tests, but I was never called in to discuss the results... Luckily, my nutritionist picked up on the low level of serum ferritin(7) and started me on a gentle Iron preparation- But my TSH levels were 5.13 and T4 14- My M.E. seemed to be worsening, especially 'brainfog'- and I have been through the Menopause now- so I asked for more tests and my thyroid levels are now TSH 5.30 and T4 12- I have had no help from my Doctors in 11 years so it was no surprise when, instead of calling in(I'mhousebound) A GP who I have never seen, rang me- Said it was 'my call' if I wanted to start med...
