I TOOK 2 50 MG TRAMADOL THIS MORNING AND HAVE TO DO A URINE TEST FOR MY DR FRIDAY WHICH GETS SENT TO A LAB TO TEST FOR TRAMADOL. I take methadone but need to know if tramadol will show up in a urine test given by DOC? ## My tramadol showed up as methadone. Crazy. Almost cut me off of my meds. Retest showed negative. ## Yes I agree, I'm pretty sure it shows up as methadone. I took a drug test for the suboxone dr. She said I had methadone in my system. I've never taken methadone a day in my life but I did take tramadol. So I think you're right it shows up as methadone.

I have to take a tramadol test tomorrow per my doc agreement, suppose to take 4 a day 1 every 6 hrs, but i only take 1 to 2 a day. Will it show that i dont take the 4 a day 1 every 6hrs? How much do i need to take prior to show enough in my system?

I have researched the test and tramadol is not listed on substances being tested for. I know if sent to a lab for a full check it will test for over hundreds of things but the cup itself I was wondering about. ## I really don't think so. If I take tramadol for pain, does that show up in urine tests for opiates? ## Tramadol is a opiate agonist and a central nervous system agent. This means that it acts on the same areas of the body (the same cellular receptors) as opiates (such as morphine and codiene, which are narcotics). As a result, tramadol has some of the same affects as opiates (such as pain reduction), but apparently is not as potent, from what I've heard. I think because of this, it could show up as opiates on a drug test; especially since many of the cheaper standardized tests cannot differentiate between drug class vs drug name, etc. I do not have personal experience undergoing a test for it, so I can only speak based on what I've read or heard about this drug. I thought it was a non-narcotic pill but it gives me the same feeling as would Lortab or Codiene. ## tramadol would not show up in a hair drug test. Also it would not show up in a urine rapid screening test. Most rapid screening test are calibrated for morphine. I have a drug test coming up and I just want to know what tramadol will show up as just and opiate or will it show up for somthing else too? I keep getting different answers and I just would like to know ## Tramadol isn't remotely related to amphetamine in anyway so it would not show up as amphetamine. I was prescribed tramadol 50mg tablets. 15 of them, and took them all at once for a total of 750 mg. I am currently in drug court and will have a urine test tomorrow that gets sent to a lab. I have currently been in Suboxone treatment for almost 3 years now. I get urine tested every month, and it is sent to lab. I always show any hospital, dentist, etc my prescription and let them know exactly what the situation is and advise them I CAN NOT have opiates. I recently went to the dentist and has 5 teeth extracted and was in severe pain so he prescribed me tramadol. I then went to my normal Suboxone visit and took my urine test and was told it came up positive for Opiates in March, and positive for Methadone in April. I have just gotten my CDL license and I have taken 2 urine test in the past month, I passed both of them since I don't use drugs. My girlfriend has lupus so she has a couple of different pain relievers which include tramadol. I knew I would be taking DOT physical so I began working out and running again in June. I have experienced 2 knee surgeries as well as breaking my lower left leg so the running made my knee sore one day 6/20-24/2014 not sure the exact day so I took one tramadol.
