I felt dizzy and my doctor said I have excess fluid behind right ear. I was given prednisone. The next morning I cant walk, no balance, I have to hold on to something to walk. I spoke with my doctor and she said that this is normal. Is it? ## Your doctor should have told you that you had vertigo and that prednisone can sometimes help. The side effects you were experiencing are created by vertigo, which can be quite nasty. Your equilibrium is messed up, you go one way and your body goes the other way. In Canada we have only one drug that is allowed in to treat vertigo and that is called Serc. Sometimes it helps, sometimes it doesn't. Doctors have started small doses of prednisone to counter act the vertigo. I don't know if the results are positive or not. ## Hi I was given predni...

I took a small dose of Valium per my doctor's instructions and now about 20 mins later I'm feeling dizzy. Not real bad, but it is enough for me to notice. Is this normal, an if so, can I expect it to subside soon? Any help appreciated!

I drank while taking this antibiotic in now I've been having dizzie spell every now in then how long will this take to wear off in I still have 3 more pills to take before im done what should I do about the dizziness? ## Hello, Storm! How are you feeling? Which antibiotic are you taking? Dizziness can be a normal side effect of antibiotics, along with nausea, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea. Drinking alcohol, while taking one can worsen these side effects, but it should slowly start to improve and go away entirely within a week or so of finishing your course of treatment.

I have started taking sulfameth/trime 800/160mg. for lg boil on back ijust fell and I am feeling sick and very dizzy ## Hello, Earl! How are you doing? It can cause some nausea and dizziness, as side effects as listed by the FDA, but it shouldn't be that severe. Are you elderly? If so, the side effects can be worse for you. You may also experience headache, drowsiness and diarrhea. If it is that severe, you may need to consult your doctor about trying a different antibiotic. Is there anything else I can help with?

when i get up i feel dizzy, what drug can help ## I think that taking drugs will only create more problems for you. There are a number of factors here that may be valid reasoning for waking up with dizzy feeling. Just to name a few possible factors: Dehydration (if your pee is not clear on a regular basis) Abnormal sleeping patterns (or not enough sleep) Stress Dietary habits (plenty of fruits and veggies) Anemia B12 Deficiency Chronic fatigue There are many more possibilities, so I would suggest that you check in with a doctor if all of the above is not an issue. Generally the dietary habits are a contributing factor to other problems, like not sleeping well..etc.

I was on Xarelto 15 mg twice a day for 21 ays. Now 20 mg per day for a week. Today I woke up and almost fell over with the most extreme dizziness i have ever experienced. Is this a possible side effect of the drug? If so, why all of a sudden would I have such extreme symptoms? Anyone out there have similar experiences? Its like I just got off a merry go round in the schoolyard. I am very concerned. ## I have been taking a 20 mg Xarelto tablet for over four years and have never had any side effects like that. I always take it after my evening meal. ## I am not an expert but that seems like a huge amount. The beauty about Xaralto is you only have to take it once a day because it is good for 24 hours... unlike some of the others, for instance, Eloquis has to be taken twice a day. Sounds li...

I take hydralazine 25mg. or metoprolol 50mg. for high bp Both cause extreme dizziness so I can't function. Is there anything I can take that does not do this? Please help as this is ruiningnmy life. I am 83 years old & haave severe kidney disease, diabetes, & copd. ## So you do you take both, or do you take one or the other as you can get them, or they are available? If you aren't taking medications consistently on a regular basis, that could be contributing to the problem, since dizziness can be a typical side effects, according to FDA reports, and it may take 4 to 5 weeks for you body to get used to them and for such side effects to taper off and go away. What other medications are you taking?

I experience vertigo periodically my french consultant on examination says due to the hairs in the middle ear has prescribed tanganil 500mgs tds for ten days. Why does this occur will this cure the condition ?? Our mutual understanding was limited. ## As to a cure, that really depends on what's causing your condition. It sounds like they thought you were having some type of inner ear problem, but I really can't say just from the information in your post. There are several things that can cause vertigo. Tanganil contains the active ingredient Acetylleucine, it is widely used in France to treat Vertigo, but it is not used in the U.S., so I don't have a lot of information on it. Does anyone else have more information? ## The equivalent used in the United States for vertigo (min...

how long does the dizziness last? ## It lasted about 4 weeks with me. It was a pain to go through but it was worth it. I've been on it for 10 months for bi-polar. ## Side effects and their duration will vary from person to person, it depends on your body chemistry, your tolerance to meds, the dose you are taking and etc. The average is about 2 weeks, but it can be longer and shorter depending on the person. If it still persists after about 4 weeks, then be sure to consult your doctor. ## I have been on lamictal for 22 yrs, I still get some dizzines if i do not eat regularly, sleep and tireness seem to make a diff with me also... I am on 300 mg. 4 times daily ## I have experenced the dizziness a few times since I started taking Lamictal in Jan.2007

So I've tried just about EVERYTHING ELSE so now I'm posting here for my help!!! Quick backstory I've had Meniere's since I was in middle school (at the time I didn't know it was Meniere's) I remember being curled up in a ball while the nurses room was spinning. It only happened about 5-6 times through out middle school. I also have horrible migraines. Then I went almost a decade with no problems. Then just here n there it would happen then again gone for a decade. Until about 4-5 yrs ago I started to get it bad again. Having to leave work get picked up outside of work cause I can barely walk. Then I'd get home throw up once and go to sleep for a few hours wake up and feel fine!! Until one day I woke up in th ed morning with it and it didn't go away for 3 ...

I am having a problem where it feels like my brain is spinning inside my head. Sometimes it spins so fast it feels like my head is going to explode.I'm not sure if fenatynl is the problem if I don't remember to change it fast enough or if the percoct 10/325 are the problem but I am tiling crazy and I need some help to understand.PLEASE . ## Hi, Wheeles! Sorry you're so miserable. Vertigo can be quite awful to deal with. If I had to make a guess, I'd suggest that the most likely culprit is the Fentanyl, since it's a very potent opiate narcotic, it's over 80 time stronger than Morphine. Learn more Fentanyl details here. I tried it once and couldn't function on it, at all. I could barely stay awake. Have you talked to your doctor about the problem? ## Hi there j...

does this help with dizziness and weakness in the body for the same dizziness ## Dolo-Neurobion is actually just a multivitamin, thus, it will only help if the dizziness is being caused by a deficiency in one of the vital nutrients it contains. The FDA lists its only known side effect as being nausea, due to its potency. Is there anything else I can help with?

Hello, I started Lexapro at the end of August for GAD, first with 5MG then to 10MG then to 20MG after a month. Some time later (maybe 8 weeks), I started having tremors in my legs which has now spread to my trunk and arms. When I sit or lay down it's fine, but as soon as I move around it starts. Also dizziness. My question is this. Can it be Lexapro? Everyone says I'm crazy to think that I'm the 2% which it adversely affects. But my axiety has increased to where I'm wired all day and these other symptoms make it seem like it could be the Lexapro. Dr. keeps saying it is anxiety but I don't believe it. Any insight would be helpful. Thanks ## The tremors are actually listed as a fairly common side effect, according to the FDA. They also list the possibility of it causin...

I have been taking 12.5 mg Jardiance once per day at breakfast for 8 days now. Added to that are 50 units of humalin n morning and bedtime morning sugar today 5.4 and 5 lb weight loss. Sounds like a match made in Heaven but the nausea (no vomiting) and the dizziness keep me pretty much lying down. Does this get better or disappear over time? Anyone know? I'm trying to persevere with it but it's horrible feeling this way. ?? ## Such side effects usually do go away, but it may take about 4 to 5 weeks for your body to get used to the medication. You may also experience headache, and diarrhea. Has anything changed, at all, yet? ## I'm actually feeling much better today....not 100%, but better. Thanks for your reply. It's good to know I'm not alone in this. ??

I started taking Belviq 14 days ago. On day 11 I have been experiencing dizziness throughout the day that feel like a moderate case of vertigo. How long is this expected to last as a side effect? Should I cut to one pill a day to reduce this side effect? ## Hello, Karen! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem that you're experiencing. Side effects tend to last for about the first month, while your body is getting used to the medication. Then they should gradually improve and go away entirely. If not, then you should consult your doctor. And no, lowering the dosage may make it go away for now, but it will just happen again, when you go back up. So, you shouldn't do that, unless your doctor okays it. Other side effects may include nausea, headache, weight loss and back pain....

On ampyra 2 days. Severe dizziness / light headedness. Does this get better with continued treatment? Ambien for insomnia? Advisable to take with ampyra? Thank you in advance for any input. ## Ampyra contains the active ingredient Dalfampridine, it is mainly used to help treat MS symptoms. They should wear off as your body adjusts to the medication, if they do not or they get worse, you should speak with your doctor immediately.
