do I swallow the pill or do I take it in pieces or do I let it dissolve in my mouth please someone answer I really need it asap ## Just to confirm, a white round pill imprinted with "155" and a "half moon logo" is identified as generic Suboxone, containing: Buprenorphine hydrochloride 8 mg (base) + Naloxone hydrochloride 2 mg (base); This medication is used in the treatment of opioid dependence. From what I understand, it's supposed to work best when taken sublingually; where all you have to do is let it fully dissolve under your tongue in order for your body to absorb it. It would be a good idea to contact your Dr. though if you have any other questions related to how much you should take. I hope this helps! ## Dear Destiny, David is correct. The suboxone needs 2 b ...

I am prescribed fentanyl 25mcgs/hr. Sometimes I have trouble keeping the patch on. I had a couple fall off early this month and couldn't get my refill early. So I decided I would use Subxn to help if there was withdrawal. It worked good, but now it's time for me to stop and put back on my patch. I don't know how long I have to wait. I took 2mgs yesterday at 3pm. It's now 1pm. Is it too soon? ## You will be fine to take it, 2mg is a really low dosage- I take a-more than that. Suboxin is a opiate blocker- your patch may not seem as strong but I doubt it- If you take suboxin over a period of time 3days or more - then your patch would be a waste. That low of a dose will not effect that patch 2-day. But if you hadden take a 8mg gram suboxin- I would suggest wating 2days befor...

I was dope sick and was given a subutex. I hear it's just like the suboxone so it's a blocker or would I feel another opiate a few hours later? ## Hello, Bree! How are you? No, Subutex does not contain the Naloxone that is in Suboxone that neutralizes other opiates. It only contains Buprenorphine. The FDA lists this medication as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. However, if you have an addiction problem, I strongly urge you to see a doctor and get proper medical help. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Vernon you do not know what you are talking about at all. Yes subutex blocks opiates just as well as suboxone. The bup which is in both med...

This is simple. I've been on suboxone for five years. I'm clean. I took opiates for thirty years. Methadone was the kinky way out and frankly doesn't work for the same reason subutex rarely works. You can still take opiates on top of both. Suboxone has a blocker. It is easy knowing you can't feel high. I still go to therapy and meetings. Beats being deaf. Good luck. ## Hello, Anfy! How are you? Actually, Subutex can still block other opiates from working, so many people do have good luck with it. It contains the active ingredient Buprenorphine, which tends to cling to the opiate receptors in the brain much stronger than most other opiates, so it can also cause precipitated withdrawal, if someone has been taking any recently. The FDA classifies it as an opiate that is mos...

What is the maximum dose of suboxone or subutex when you have severe pain? ## What is the maximum daily dose of subutex? I'm taking it to wean off of opiate pain killers but may need to stay on it for chronic pain. My doctor has me taking 2mg up to 6 times a day, but it feels like too much and I feel sick at 6 mg. I can't imagine taking more. Any answers would be helpful... thanks. ## If u have true clinical pain suboxone will not work it is for opiate detox only. It is an opiate blocker which will in turn allow your brain to make its own dopamine. ## feelinbettergoinbroke is wrong, suboxone is used for the treatment of chronic pain. Although, I think the reason you are getting sick is because your doctor has you taking 2mg up to 6 times a day. That in itself is causing you to b...

I took 4mg suboxone at 9am this morning and have never taking them before. Can I take a Percocet tonight and still get pain relief? ## People often get confused very easily about this. As an addict who used opiates for about 10 years and now on suboxone for 2 years, and having gone to over 15 rehabs and countless suboxone doctors I have a bit of knowledge on this issue. If you take a suboxone and immediately after try to do opiates, YOU WILL NOT GO INTO WITHDRAWAL. you will just not feel the effects of the opiates because of the blocker. Now if you do it the opposite way, if you do opiates and immediately take your suboxone (you have to wait at the very least 12-24 hours to take it), then you will go into immediate withdrawal and believe me, it is TORTURE! Ask any doctor or anybody who ...

I took half of a strip of Suboxone 8mg/2mg. This is the first and only time I have ever given it a try. I was told that it helps ppl get off of opiates, but works better than an opiate. So I figure that it would help with the pain I have. It was described to me as being a lil bit of a stronger dose of the hydrocodone 10mgs that I get prescribed to me. After about an hour of having taken it, I began to feel pain in my back that I haven't felt since I started pain management and was prescribed lortab 10's. So I looked up more info on Suboxone and found out that it is a pain blocker, which makes sense of why I began to feel pain after taking it. My question is...how long do I need to wait to take my lortab 10mg so I can lessen my back pain? Oh...and now that I know what Suboxone re...

I just recently switched from 70 mg of methadone to suboxone. The Dr told me to wait 3 days. The clinic insisted that I waited to go down to 30 mg before switching to subutex so it scared the crap out of me. So on the third day I took a 1 mg strip of sub and it put me into total withdrawal. It was horrible, I couldn't understand why he didn't prescribe me subutex so it didn't have the opiate blocker. Anyway I got thru the night and woke up and just took 4 mgs and felt a little better then on day 5. I went to see my Dr to explain what's going on and asked why he didn't give me subutex instead of suboxone. He said it doesn't make a difference in this instance. So I guess he knows better than I do. It's Saturday and I'm feeling better but I'm still not f...

thats a suboxen its an opiate blocker ## This tablet does contain 8mgs of Suboxone, but it is inaccurate to describe it as an opiate blocker. Suboxone contains the active ingredient Buprenorphine, which IS AN OPIATE! It is used to treat drug addcition and severe, chronic pain. It does, however, have some opiate agonist properties, to prevent people from abusing other drugs while they are taking it. Common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, dry mouth and dizziness. Read more on it here: Are there any questions?

Suboxone aka buprenorphine. Opiate blocker used to treat opioid dependency. ## Just to confirm, a white round pill imprinted with D 155 is identified as 'generic' Buprenorphine hydrochloride 8 mg (base) + Naloxone hydrochloride 2 mg (base). Manufacturer: Actavis Elizabeth LLC Depending on the application form, buprenorphine is indicated for the treatment of moderate to severe chronic pain, opioid dependency (as Tweek stated above), and for peri-operative analgesia. I hope this helps anyone who may still be trying to ID this pill! ## For those who find this post. the "D" is not actually a "D" but it is a crescent moon which is the logo of the company. So if you call the pharmacy asking about a "D", they cannot find it. It is a crescent moon on one side and...

I took two 5.7/1.4 zubsolvs yesterday morning at about ten o'clock. How long tell the blocker is gone? It's the only one I have ever took. Help would truly be appreciated ## Ive heard 24 to 48 hours but u should ask a medical prof to be safe. ## I concur with Jen in that 24-48hrs is a general estimated time frame that patients would typically wait for; albeit this window of time may vary for each individual depending upon a variety of factors. If you browse through some of the related discussion threads here pertaining to Suboxone (i.e. Zubsolv's twin) people tend to follow the same inheren...

Which one only has one blocker and which has two blockers (Subutex / Suboxone)? ## @big k, You might be thinking of Subutex, which only has one blocker (Buprenorphine). But just to confirm, a white round pill imprinted with 155 on one side and half moon on the other, is identified as generic "Suboxone"; containing Buprenorphine hydrochloride 8 mg (base) + Naloxone hydrochloride 2 mg (base). I hope this helps answer your question! ## Subutex doesn't have a blocker whatsoever. Buprenorphine is an opiate. Subutex is 100% buprenorphine. Suboxone which has 1 blocker in it. And that blocker is naloxalone. They don't make subutex or suboxone with 2 blockers. Ive been on suboxone for over 2 years. ## David (# 1) - All you had to do was Google buprenorphine and you'll underst...

Hey! I'm taking 8mg dilaudid every 6 hours/4 times a day, equaling 28mg of dilaudid total daily. I have about 15ml of liquid methadone and i was wondering if i could take methadone before during or after my dilaudid dose and still receive therapeutic effects; Will mixing cause the dilaudid to not work? Could i go into withdrawal?; would the methadone compound the effects of the dilaudid? Thank you guys very much, i hope everyone is well (: ## Sally those two drugs would most likely add to each others' effects and could be potentially dangerous if you are already taking dilaudid regularly. Methadone is also an opioid medication (not a blocker) so it would not throw you into withdrawal like how suboxone would. Hope this helps and wish you the best.

I am in pain from four surgeries and need help. ## Hi Jake, Based on my research, taking Methadone and Buprenorphine together may reduce the analgesic (pain relieving) effects of Methadone. It may also cause uncomfortable withdrawal symptoms if you have been receiving long term therapy with Methadone. It is recommended that you speak with your doctor before taking these medications together, so he/she can tell you how to avoid withdrawal symptoms. The combination may also cause side effects that negatively effect your thinking or reaction time. With that being said, I wouldn't say Methadone + Buprenorphine is "safe" to combine. Do you have any more questions? Please post back if you do! ## You can take subutex not suboxone because subutex don't have a blocker, ## Unless ...

MY HUSBAND HAS BLADDER CANCER AND WAS PRESCRIBED 20 MG OF METHADONE EVERY MORNING. HE WAS ALSO GIVEN MORPHIN SULFATE 60 MGS TWICE A DAY. Hitler had his science goons make somthing to substitute opiate pain killers and Bam methadone is born. First used as a pain killer for man...
