I believe the tablet you are looking at has the marking M 595 and this is an old, discontinued 40mg time released Oxycodone tablet, a generic for Oxycontin. Due to the risks of abuse and diversion, the generics are no longer being manufactured. It is not a Percocet equivalent, because it is time released and doesn't contain Acetaminophen. The tablet with the IP 466 marking contains 800mgs of Ibuprofen, the active ingredient in Motrin, this is a prescription only strength. pink with a 5114 and a v on it ## 5114 V is Acetaminophen 650 mg + Propoxyphene 100 mg a generic Darvocet ## Abe is correct, this was a very mild opiate narcotic that was discontinued several years ago, by the FDA, due to the cardiac dangers it caused, some of which were fatal, as well as the many overdoses it caused. I got my prescription filled and when I got home from the pharmacy in the bottle I had the white IP 206 Oxycodone instead of my normal Percocet 10 yellow pill. I have been on percocet for the past 6 yrs now at 10 mil x 5 a day and was wondering does anyone find that they have a need for stronger doses over time? This is the name brand product. It contains 5mgs of Oxycodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen, it is a narcotic analgesic. I've read where people say it's IMPOSSIBLE to fake the yellow 10/325 percocet and whoever believes that is sadly mistaken. The biggest sign is that sometimes the yellow is a little worn or the pill had white spots on it. The second is that the instant the water hits your mouth they almost instantly dissolve and you can hardly swallow the chalk in your mouth. The third and most important sign is this: if you hold a prescription pain killer up to the light it had a sort of gloss/sheen to it. The fakes do not have this. This is in reference to Amneal Pharmaceutical's "7.5/325" Oxycodone, the label which also reads in part: "*7.5 mg oxycodone HCI, USP is equivalent to 6.7228 mg of oxycodone" without explaining what that means. CVS switched my brand last month and claim that all brands are the same strength. NOT SO, according to the level of pain and everyone who is in pain knows that pain does no lie. Hi, I have chronic pain. I have Interstitial Cystitis, have chronic pelvic pain, shoulder pain, neck and back pain, etc. I am a 45 year old woman who has had 4 children so you'd think that I would be able to handle pain. However, I cannot. At 5'9" tall, I only weigh 115 pounds so you'd think that pain meds would hit me like a ton of bricks! They don't. I take the Rhodes 10/325 percocet and they are better than actavis oh that don't help at all. Rhodes and Amneal I agree are weak compared to the old Watson's and Mallinckrodt, and Endocet, even Roxicet. Mother is 91 years old with *SEVERE* pain (lumbar pinched nerve) and takes no medication other than 10mg Prednisone. Physician prescribed 5mg Percocet, but it makes her dizzy and she won't take it. Taking half dose (2.5mg) doesn't help pain at all. Is there a strong pain medication out there with "least amount of dizziness?" I SURE need your help, please. 10/325 generic percocet which is the best manufacturer for chronic pain ## Hi Em, Unfortunately because every brand/generic effects each person differently, the only honest way to go about finding out what works best, is to try out different manufacturers for yourself. That way you can also formulate your own valid opinion. What I can tell you though from reading a lot of posts on this site, is that Actavis (Formerly known as Watson) has been receiving a massive amount of complaints lately regarding the quality and efficacy of their generic Percocet tablets. I changed pharmacies and now my Percocet's look different. I was getting a oval white pill with the A333 imprint and now I got a white round pill with 10 325 RP. I don't know what the differences are but I would like to know before I take them. ## It's just a different manufacturer. The ones you are getting now (RP 10/325) are better in my opinion. Okay maybe you guys can help me with this I got my wisdom teeth removed today and they prescribed me percocets but it does not say how many mgs they are my mom went in to fill the prescription and used an old prescription bottle to fill it to save her 1 dollar lol so it does not say on the bottle. How would a doctor write out a prescription for 15mg percs? Would it just say 15mg Percocet? I currently take 7.5mg/325 percocets but I'm going to a new doctor since mine moved away and I wanted to change the mgs to 15 without the acetaminophen. I can modify this on my medication list that I printed out from my old doctors website patient portal. Just want to make sure I write it correctly. ## Percocet doesn't come in a 15 mg. What happens if you take expired Percocet? ## When did it expire? If it is within one year, it is still as potent as if it were still in date. All Rx's usually start losing their effectiveness at a rate of 5-20% each year.
