The dosage I've seen for these specific pills are: Acetaminophen (500mg) + Oxycodone (5mg). Additionally, for verification, the national drug codes for these red and white capsules are: 00054-2795 and 00591-0737. Did you get this pill off the street by chance? That may explain a few things. Aside from that option, generic Hydrocodone is a common substitute for Oxycodone. Trying to substitute 20mg oxycodone 3x a day with vicodin. How many vicodin a day would equal? ## Hello, Cici! How are you? You should not take more than your doctor has prescribed. The ratio, however, would be 30mgs of the Hydrocodone in the Vicodin to each 20mgs of Oxycodone. The problem is the Acetaminophen that is also in Vicodin, it is dangerous to take too much of it in any 24 hour period. Thus, if the current dose you've been prescribed of Vicodin does not help you, it would be much safer to speak to your doctor about adjusting your dosage, or trying a different medication.
