I have taken 220mg naproxen sodium and 1000mg acetaminophen. Can this hurt me? I woke with fever and pain in head and shoulders and had those available so I took them. Now I am worried as I am feeling dizzy and have a stomach-ache. ## Hello, Jim! How are you? Did you experience any other adverse issues? Those aren't dangerously high doses of either, but mixing them could cause you to experience more severe side effects than usual, you may also experience headache, increased risk of bleeding, and easy bruising, according to the FDA. Thus, it is usually best to stick with just one, unless your doctor instructs otherwise. ## Yes or No please: Does Naproxen contain acetaminophen?

pill, rectangle shape with round ends. on one side it says syntex and nothing on the other side. ## Syntex is the manufacture, they make a lot of Mexican drug products. Naproxen and Paracetamol/Acetaminophen is the combination you mentioned. This is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory combo used to treat pain and swelling. Acetaminophen is actually not directly classified as such, in the U.S., but it is similar enough that the FDA will not allow these medications to be combined into one product, here, due to the dangers. Side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, headache and stomach irritation. I've seen Naproxen and have been told Vicodin has this imprint as well. Are Naproxen and Vicodin the same? ## Naproxen and Vicodin are two very different pain medications. To my understanding, the similarities found in the imprint are just a sign that they had been manufactured or redistributed by the same company (Amneal Pharmaceuticals). The IP 190 500 tablet contains Naproxen 500mg (NDC 65162-0190); a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug. Ref: DailyMed The IP 109 tablet contains Vicodin (Acetaminophen 325mg + Hydrocodone 5mg); which is a combination of two types of pain medicine - Hydrocodone being an opiate narcotic pain reliever. (NDC 53746-109): Ref: DailyMed Hope this helps! ## You are probably confused because the markings are similar. Generic Norco 5/325mg (Hydrocodone/a...

Naproxen has U15 on it and is white and oblong.checking to see if right ## Hello, Critty! How are you? The tablet with this marking is manufactured by Aurolife Pharma and they list it as containing 325mgs of Acetaminophen and 5mgs of Oxycodone. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. So no, it is not Naproxen. Is there anything else I can help with?

i am taking naproxen 500mg 1 tablet twice a day for neck injury but i suffer from bad headaches so i wondered what other pain killer i can take along with prescribed med ## Have you spoken to your doctor about it? The headaches could be a result of the neck injury or a side effect of the Naproxen itself, so you may need to try a different medication. I am really reluctant to suggest anything, because Naproxen is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory and you can't safely mix it with most other over the counter headache remedies, since they also contain NSAIDs. Some people do have some success if they alternate it with Acetaminophen, but it also has some NSAID properties, so really isn't a good mix. In this case, you really do need to get to the root of what is causing the headaches, t...

wha is the diference between naproxeno sodium 550mg and percocet ## The primary difference notable between these two medications is that Percocet contains a narcotic pain reliever in addition to Acetaminophen. Naproxen is just Naproxen, without anything else. To put this into perspective, Naproxen in and of itself is not nearly as potent as Oxycodone, let alone the combination of Acetaminophen + Oxycodone (Percocet). I believe choosing one over the other all depends on what your pain management needs are and whether or not Naproxen on its own can meet those requirements. IP 190 with a divided line on the back of the pill is hydrocodone 5mg with 500mg acetaminophen. The other tablet has the marking of IP 109 and it is a generic for Vicodin that contains 5mgs of Hydrocodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen. I am allergic to dyes and it is so difficult to find pm pain relief ## Hello, Vickie! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem that you're having. The PM pain relief formulas only contain the relevant medication, such as Acetaminophen (Tylenol PM), Ibuprofen (Advil PM) or Naproxen (Aleve PM) accompanied with Diphenhydramine (Benadryl). Thus, if your doctor approves, you could most likely find dye free versions of both of them and just take them separately. I know that many Acetaminophen tablets are available as just white tablets with no dyes, plus Benadryl has a dye free formulation available specifically for people with such allergies. The FDA lists the typical side effects of these medications as possibly include dizziness, drowsiness, nausea and stomach irritation. Is there ...

I am currently taking vicoden for knee replacement surgery...is there any OTC pain med to take that would be similar? Thank you! ## Not in the U.S. Vicodin contains Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone. The Hydrocodone is a narcotic analgesic and there are none available over the counter in the U.S. The strongest medications for pain that are available over the counter in the U.S. are the basic nonsteroidal anti-inflammatories, such as Ibuprofen and Naproxen. Have you tried discussing it with your doctor?

pill ## This is nowhere to be found in the prescription databases, therefore, there is a good chance that it is an over-the-counter medication. I may be stretching it here, but I almost think that most medications that are over the counter with L as the starting letter is typically a generic tylenol or acetaminophen. ## The tablet with the L 631 marking is listed as having contained 500mgs of Naproxen Sodium, a generic or store brand of Aleve, it is available both over the counter, and by prescription. NDC: 45802-0631 This tablet has been discontinued. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, stomach irritation, and bruising. Apparently someone put them in the wrong bottle, because the tablet with IG 341 on it only contains 375mgs of Naproxen, which is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory that's used to treat pain, fever and swelling, so it's not a generic for Percocet. The name brand for this would be Naprosyn. Learn more Naprosyn details here. Percocet contains Acetaminophen and Oxycodone, so it's a narcotic analgesic. capsule ## 123 ## how many times should i take tuseran capsule in a day ## side effects of tuseran forte ## i take tuseran forte with flanax 275 mg. for slight fever and now i am suffering from stomach pain. ## Al, the stomach pain is probably from combining the 2 medications. Tuseran Forte contains Dextromethorphan, Pheylephrine and Paracetamol (Acetaminophen.) It is used to relieve cold symptoms and fever. The Paracetamol is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory and Flanax contains Naproxen Sodium, which is another drug in the same class, so the two should not be mixed. It can cause stomach upset and ulcers. Other side effects may inlude: nausea, drowsiness, stomach irritation and dizziness. I am going through therapy for my back and need spine surgery. I have been taking percocet for the past year now and my Dr wants to change my medication. He suggested something that starts with the letter N but didnt spell it right for me. Does anyone know of pain medication that starts with that letter. Not Naproxen, it's not an anti inflammitory ## It's supposed to be for nerves. ## Probaly Neurontin which is used to ease nerve pain. ## Or maybe Norco ## Those would be my best guesses, as well, since they are both used to treat pain, just in different ways. Neurontin is an anticonvulsant that's also been shown to help with nerve pain, it contains the active ingredient Gabapentin. And Norco contains the active ingredients Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone, so it's a narcoti...

i found an oblong shaped pill on my entertainment center it has IP 500 on 1 side and nothing on the other.anyone have any idea what it is,i am hoping to identify it. ## No, I'm not finding a listing for a tablet with just IP 500 on it in our U.S. prescription drug resources. The IP logo is used by IntraPharm, but on their U.S. tablets there are usually other numbers, with the 500, or 250 and etc. to designate the dosage. Does anyone recognize this tablet? I'm wondering if its an over the counter product that just contains 500mgs of Acetaminophen and is a generic, or store brand of Tylenol. ## Naproxen 500 mg I take this all the time.
