Does Morphine Show Up In Drug Test The Same As Hydrocodone

When taking a urine drug test, will vicodin show up the same as morphine? ## No it will not. Hydrocodone is a semi-synthetic opioid medication. It's currently synthesized from thiabine and as such is no cross reactive with reagents used to detect opiates such as codeine and morphine. Source: Myself, Physician Assistant, Board certified in Emergency Medicine ## I am prescribed hydrocodone. I took a urine drug test so I am assuming it will show up but will I just fail the test or will someone ask to see my prescription? ## Per the drug testing comp, norco will show positive under MOP if the level is lower, 5000 ng/ml and will show up positive as opiate if at a level of 12500 ng/ml.. contact any drug test company to confirm. Hope this helps, hate to hear so many folks hurt by bad info....

I am prescribed ms contin 15 mg and ran out but somebody gave me an oxycontin 80 to take for my urine test at my pain clinic will this show up the same or should I just say I ran out early ## I took a urine test and I'm on percacest 30 and 6 times a day but they have shut me off and I have be getting them of the streets and did morphine on the morning of my test so I took qcarb fluss how screwed am I and I pied 4 times and it was about 3 and a half hours before test so the qcarb was in my system four a solid 3 hours before I pied for them ## they show differently on most doctor's tests. Only the cheap ones lump them all into just "opiates". Morphine, Heroin, Oxycodone, Hydrocodone, even Codeine all show up differently. They test for the metabolites, not the individual dr...

I recently gave birth and the test they did on his first stool showed up hydromorophone. I was given morphine and vicodine at the hospital in September because I was really sick. Could that be why that showed in the test because I never took the stuff. ## No its nothing to do with the morphine. hydrocodone converts to hydromorphone when metabolized in your system thats why you may have tested positive for hydromorphone. If they was giving you those types of opioids then i dont understand why they tested you. Anyone in the medical proffesion should know this !!! ## Hydromorphone is the generic term for dilaudid. It is the same class opioid as morphine alone. Hydrocodone is a mild pain killer/anti inflammatory. The test will show the hydrocodone as a completely different class. I take 4mg...

I used heroin last night and I'm taking methadone plus Norco. Can I get off on blaming my test being positive for opiates on my medications? please respond ## NO!! If u have opiates in ur system the only way could be from heroin, perks, oxys..exc..but methodone no.no opiates.. ## I don't know I'm wondering the same thing but apparently the guy that responded before you didn't read your entire question because methadone is NOT an opiate but NORCO is an opiate (its hydrocodone) but since your body synthesizes heroin into MORPHINE I'm not sure what it would show up as. I'm trying to figure out the same thing... ## Methadone is a synthetic OPIOID. On a drug test, heroin shows up as exactly what it is...diacetylmorphine. It is easily distinguishable from methadone, mo...

Hydrocodone, Hydromorphone, Oxycodone, Oxymorphone, or 6-acetyl morphine (Heroin metabolite). Here is a table of opioid metabolites. Man the amount of people who have no clue what they are talking about yet spitting advice on it like they are an expert is bewildering. NO FENTANYL does not show up as an opiate on any test anywhere. In fact the only things that will show up as an opiate are morphine, codeine, and heroin and that is because heroin and morphine metabolize into morphine. Not even oxycodone or hydrocodone can be detected as an opiate they have to be specifically tested for as they metabolize differently, same with methadone, methadone has to be specifically tested for, it will not show up as anything but methadone. So unless the test you are taking is specifically testing for fentanyl then you will be fine. The question is whether or not the test you are taking is testing for fentanyl. I have yet to see a ...

I take Norco 7.5/325mg and Morphine Sulfate 15mg E tab. When my pain management doctor has given me a urine drug test, it has shown up as Hydromorphone/Dilaudid. Is it possible when the two are taken at the same time it might show up as Hydromorphone/Dilaudid in the urine drug test since the two are mixed together? ## It is actually probably due to the test itself. The cheaper, non-certified tests that most doctors use are known to give false positives anywhere from 4 to 50% of the time. Semi-synthetic and synthetic opiates are well know to give false positives on them for other synthetic or semi-synthetic opiates. Have you discussed it with your doctor? ## Hydrocodone (Norco, Vicodin, etc.) is metabolized by the liver and changed into hydromorphone. Dilaudid is the generic form of hydr...

Will tylenol#3 test the same as Norco? Shattered my ankle waiting for 2nd surgery and ran out of Norco. My Dr. called and requested a urine test tomorrow. I cannot pick up my pain med's without a test. Do they test it right away at the lab? This is the VA. ## No, they do not test the same. Codeine is metabolized into morphine; hydrocodone is metabolized into hydromorphone. As far as whether they'll know the results immediately, it depends what type of test they're utilizing and if they use an in-house lab. Simple urine tests and merely detect the presences of each class of drugs can be done right away, and in that case both the codeine and the hydrocodone will just come up as opioids. If it's a more advanced test, it will show the different medications and can also tell ...

Does LOrtab 10/500 mgs. and Morphine Sul. 30 mgs show to be the same in a U/a.?? Thank you ## In a standard urine panel, yes, they will both just show up as opiate narcotics, because the Lortab contains Hydrocodone. If you have a prescription, then all you have to do is inform them of this, when you go in for testing, though they may ask for proof from your doctor. Are there any comments or questions? ## i agreee. if it is a low level job or non-state non-federal than it is probably a standard 5 panel which is thcaka marijuana, 2.cocaine, 3. opiates, 4. amphetamines, 5.mdma/ ecstacy or 1.tca/tricylic antidepressants 2. methadone 3. pcp 4. barbituates 5.oxycontin--then i believe these are cheapest to more expensive or just different variations. most companies dont go over 5- panels drug ...

I am prescribed Hydrocodone, Oxycodone, Elavil, Relafen, Phenergan and take Midol, AZO and Dayquil. I recently got drug tested by my doctor. She said my urine showed Hydromorphone, Morphine and Suboxone but did not show my Hydrocodone and oxycodone. I know it has to be wrong because I did not take the medicine she said was in my urine. I have looked online for answers but am still unclear. It has to be a false positive. Could the medicines I'm taking cause it to show those drugs? ## Morphine, hydrocodone and oxycodone all show as the same drug of they did a urine and the same with the other meds. Even ambien can give false results
