lyrica and methadone
6 Replies RSS
Is it ok to take lyrica 6hrs after taking 10 mg of methadone. ## Hi, Tony! How are you? Contrary to what many people think, Lyrica is not a narcotic or analgesic of any type. It actually contains the active ingredient Pregabalin, which is an anticonvulsant that can help with some types of nerve pain, due to its action on brain chemicals. Learn more Lyrica details here. And I didn't find any interactions listed between the two, but you should double check with your doctor or pharmacist to be certain. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Unless I'm mistaken Lyrica IS a schedule 4 drug. So while it's not an opiate it can definitely make you goofy, especially at high doses, especially if you are just starting it. ## Yes at first the doses are very strong. I have taken Meth... ...

Lyrica the wonder drug
4 Replies RSS
I used to take high doses of narcotics for severe neuropathy pain. That crap almost killed me and destroyed my life, leaving me destitute and homeless. I had to move in with my sister, and then some friends to stay off the street. I have been taking lyrica for several years and it helped, even while on the narcotics. Since going off the narcotics, I hav relied entirely on Lyrica to deal with the pain. My doctor changed my dosage about a month or so ago to 300mg twice a day and soon to 300mg three times a day. The difference has been amazing and the neuropathy pain is almost completely gone while the Lyrica is in effect. I do have some side effects though, like headaches, dizziness, sleepiness but I don't care. Anything is preferable to the pain, except for narcotics. ## Lyrica has b... ...

They don't want to do surgery due to my age and the complications associated with the surgery. They have told me there's nothing they can do for me. I am taking Cymbalta, Celebrex, Lyrica, Tizadine, Tramadol 200 my time release pill. I am having really pain more so than ever due to the curve. I'm trying to force myself to stand up with out looking pathetic. I can't cope with this any longer. I don't want to fight to get on a pain pill which would help me. maybe my blood pressure would not be high. My med Dr will not prescribe narcotics. I respect her decision. She's told me there... ...

I live in near Aurora,IL. PLEASE SOMEONE HAS TO KNOW A DR. AROUND AURORA, IL OR W/IN 10 MILES OR SO THAT WILL REALIZE I'M NOT JUST TYING TO GET HIGH. I'VE TRIED AT LEAST 7 OR 8 DIFFERENT MEDS. THE NORCO10'S OR EVEN STRONGER (FEWER PER DAY), THAT DOESN'T MESS WITH MY STOMACH (NORCO DOESN'T, IT JUST TAKES AWAY THE PAIN), I'VE TRIED ALL THE OTHER NON NARCOTIC AND THEY DO NOT WORK OR I FEEL LIKE A WACK FROM DRUGS LIKE LYRICA. ***IF YOU CARE TO READ THE REST OF MY STORY****I have been an athlete all my life and just completed 2 Ironman Races 08' & 09' (2.4mile swim, 112 mile bike, 26.2 mile run) and 2 months after, no back pain, but extreme nerve/sciatic pain. dilaudid and fentanyl
2 Replies RSS
Will a 75 mcg/hr fentanyl patch help with dilaudid withdrawal? ## Tramadol 50 mg x 2 tablets is the only thing that works for me when I can't find a pharmacy to fill my Dilaudid. I have heard it helps with Oxy and other pain reliever withdrawals. The stupid Commonwealth of Kentucky has outlawed Tramadol and Lyrica is highly regulated because it helps with withdrawals. Yes, they are living in the stone age. So, Tramadol must work for others as well. Your doctor should prescribe it, it is available at any pharmacy, doesn't help that much with the pain, but you won't get sick. ## Fentanyl is much stronger, so that would actually be the wrong direction to go. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, diz... ...

pregabalin and methadone tappering
1 Reply RSS
i try to stop methadone use.i begin lyrica 300mg and slov methadone 5mg for a weak(40mg now).is it right? ## this site is not medical professionals and cannot possibly say what tapering schedule is right for you. Your doctor must decide this based on how long you've been using the Methadone and how high of a dosage you were taking. Methadone is a very potent narcotic and even with tapering, you may still experience some withdrawal effects such as: nausea, dizziness, chills and diarrhea. The best thing I can advise you to do is follow your doctor's advice. Have you tried speaking to them about any concerns you may have? ...

I have been prescribed oxycodone 5 mg. IMM REL capsules to be taken 2-3 every 4 hrs. for shingles pain. I have never taken this before, however I have chronic pain due to a right hip injury 6 years ago and normally take fiorinal #3 for that and also migraine headaches. I am in a'lot of pain and I am praying this med. will help. I was also prescribed lyrica 75 mg, Valtrex and I already take lexapro and zanax if needed. I am very cautious with medicine. Does anyone have any advice for me? ## Oxycodone is a very potent narcotic pain reliever, it is also highly addictive. The IMM REL stands for Immediate Release, which means the medication is released immediately to start helping with your pain, rather than taking 15 to 20 minutes like regular release tablets. Aside from the addictive p... ...
