I take generic percpcet 10-325mg. up to 4 times daily for breakthru pain. I just read about the OxyIR and am wondering what would be the same mg. as the percocet if I wanted to discussed this with my dr.? I have ulcer disease and can't take any nsaids, especially aspirin. I've been taking generic Percocet 5/325 for about a year now for broken ribs and other things. I just got a refill and they changed the manufacturer to Camber T192 white round tablet.. when I opened the bottle the first thing I noticed was the smell of aspirin and the chalk all around the bottle. In the past they have always filled it with Actavis white round coated pill #A349. These had no smell at all. I called the pharmacy to ask about this as their printout also said the Camber pill is blue and it is white. Aside from that option, generic Hydrocodone is a common substitute for Oxycodone. There is a decrease in potency however, so if you are on a high dose of Oxycodone you may want to taper that dose down a little and start with a slightly higher dose of Hydrocodone.
