Dilauded DOES NOT show up on a urine test. I've passed EVERY time. It does not break down into morphine. ## It shows up if they are testing for hydromorphone. ## Does it show up on a 10 panel? I've heard that the hydrocodones I take every so often could create a + result? Mine was a send out. I have probation tomorrow and have been taking dilaudid about 12mg for bout four days. will it show up as an opiate or something else? ## Hi Claudia, Based on information I've gathered, Hydromorphone (Dilaudid) does not show up in the basic opiate test which is part of the standard pre-employment drug test. The opiate test tests primarily for morphine (which both codeine and heroin break down into). Hydromorphone does not break down into morphine, therefore it is not detected. I wear a drug patch and have been to the ER for my back. I was given shots of dilaudid, demerol and valium. I also take soma and vicodin. They said I tested positive for morphine. Will the drug patch come back as morphine? ## I was just tested and my Dr said that my fentynol levels and my oxy levels were low but morphine was high. I take opana and roxiecodone could it in anyway show up as morphine since it's a mixture? also isn't oxymorphone morphine? Thanks ## The Oxymorphone in the Opana and Oxycodone in the Roxicodone are both synthetic opiates and these have been known to occasionally cause false positives for other synthetic opiates. Morphine, however, is not synthetic, so that's not one they've been reported to cause a false positive for. The Oxymorphone is distantly related to Morphine, but it is not the same substance and, therefore, the metabolites that it creates in the body, which would be detectable on a drug test, are different. I have bulging disks and sciatica. My pain Dr gave me 7.5 hydrocodone and gabapentin. I went today for my appt but was discharged because my test came back positive for oxymorphone and dilaudid. I have NEVER taken those meds. My Dr wouldn't even see me. Last month they were supposed to do injections but never called for approval until the morning I showed up for the procedure. ## I relapsed recently on herion, but I have a Dr appt tomorrow and they might drug test me. Is there something I can do to get the drug out of my system before I take the test? I take kadian 100ml for pain. Sometimes I run out a day or 2 early because of unbearable pain and I have to take hydromorphone. The thing is that kadian is a sulphate and hydromorphone isn't and I get urine tested. What should I do? ## Claude, That will not work if you took hydromorphone (dilaudid) that will show up in your urine screen. Even if you tried to use a rapid flush you run the risk of ELIMINATING the presence of the kadian as well which would be far worse for testing negative you'd most likely be dismissed since they would think your diverting kadian Your pretty much in a very bad spot. I went to my pain doctor today, and received a drug screen. I only take diluadid 2mg 2ce a day and took one about an hour and a half before I went to the doctor. When I went back into the room with the nurse practioner she said I failed my drug screen for Morphine and Codine. I've not taken anything but dilaudid and also neuroton that they prescribe me. HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE?!?!? Does dilaudid metabolize into morphine in your system a little while after you take it? I receive a monthly script for Dilaudid (Hydromorphone) due to Chronic Back pain... Recently I got bit by pitbull & a friend shared some of their medication which I took for a few days till I felt better. She said after 24 hrs it transforms in body into Morphine (so if i take hydromorphone regularly & waited 34-48 hrs Id be fine for my UA if i got one)... 8 mg/day suboxone user. Urine lab test shows large amount of hydromorphone (dilaudid). Can this be from suboxone? ## What?? Heck no! Have you taken any hydromorphone? Or possibly used someone else's urine? Or maybe mix up at doc office/lab occured? Suboxone tests as Bupe and naloxone. If you know for a fact that you haven't taken anything demand a blood test or hair so they can back track to the round about time frame of your supposed hydro usage. I recently gave birth and the test they did on his first stool showed up hydromorophone. I was given morphine and vicodine at the hospital in September because I was really sick. I take Norco 7.5/325mg and Morphine Sulfate 15mg E tab. When my pain management doctor has given me a urine drug test, it has shown up as Hydromorphone/Dilaudid. I need to find a test to find if I was, in fact, given Dilaudid 2 shots, Toradol 8mg and Morphine 8mg in the ER via IV injection. Valium 10mg, first, then 2 shots of Dilaudid and Toradol 4 to 8mg all at the same time. One hour later I was given 8mg of Morphine....I only felt the Valium and no relief from the pain. I released myself AMA and the hospital is conducting an Internal Investigation as their records show I was indeed given ALL these medications. I am currently taking Oramorph, Loratab, Zanaflex, Baclofen, Zanax, Omeprazole, Phenegran, Lonox. For some strange reason when I took a urine test it showed I had high levels of Dilaudid in my system. my drug screen came back positive for dilaudid which i have never taken. i do take loratab & soma along with blood preesure meds and statins. i have also been taking antibiotics & nyquill, dayquill, & alkaseltzer cold plus for bronchitis. could this make the test come back positive? ## In this case, it may have been the NyQuil, it has been shown to cause false positives for many substances on drug tests, including various opiates. Dialudid contains Hydromorphone, so it is an opiate narcotic and the NyQuil may explain it. And the Soma can even test positive for Morphine. I hope this information helps! I ran out of my hydromorphone and have taken morphine sulfate from my sister 30mg. I have to only have Diladid in my system will it show up the morphine that is. No more are the days of positive or negative. I would try and wait at least 5 days depending on the amount of body fat and how well your liver works.
