On a 12 panel urine test will it show clonazepam and xanax as the same thing? ## does clonazepam and zanax show up as the same thing in a drug screen ? ## Yes, as they are both benzodiazepines. ## I promise you they don't! I get tested weekly, and a xanax stays in the system longer too. I get Clonazepam prescribed, and had to stay at my friend's house and had forgot them. I failed for Xanax, and it stayed in my system for like 26 days. ## I have never heard of a cover 2 as a 2mg. Clonapam but will check in a moment.I am on level 6 at my method one clinic. I am a female 220 take non perscription clorazepam. Ive had cps do hair follicle and urine test and i am clean. I do not abuse just take once a day for anxiety. I go to a methadone clinic, a nurse forced drug screen showed positive for xanax and clonazepam metoolites. I have not taken klonopin for two years, the clinic is adament that I had to have taken it,, and I am 100% sure I did not. My Meds are methadone, xanax, lamictal, diovan, celexa, synthroid, amatriptaline, ambien, compazine. My over the counter meds are, nyquil (migraine treatment along with the compazine) calcium, prenatal vitamin, B12, D3. please help, my take home status will be revoked, and I know I didn't do it.. ## Ok update. i have not taken klonopin for 6 years and it showed up on a drug screen. is there anything that can make it show up falsely? ## There are some other medications that can cause false positives. I have a drug test tomorrow and need to know if clonidine and clonazepam will test positive as the same in my system? Please help ## No deinitely not. Those two drugs are two completely diifferent ones. One is narcotic one is not. They arent used for even close to the same thing. Clonodine is typically used to treat high blood pressure, it is also used to helppatients going through opiate withdrawal. Clonazepam is used to treat sever panic disorders/attacks, and epilepsy to name a few. It is also considered a narcotic whilst clonidine woulnt even show up if your having a drug test. My fiance has been taking klonopins for a couple of years n recently tested positive for marijuana but does not smoke marijuana. I took a Lorazepam because I ran out of my Clonazepam and I have a metabolites test. Are they going to show up as two different things? ## It really depends on the type of test that is being done. there are some that can detect the specific one you took, according to NIH warnings. The FDA also warns that these medications carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, and irritability. Is six weeks worst case scenario? I read it can leave your body in 7 days. I had two doses - do u think I will fail my drug test? I might not be having my test for another week maybe more how long do you think it will take to get out of my urine? I took a drug screen and I am on Kolonapin. The kolonapin didn't show up but oxazepam and temazepam did and I have never even heard of them and had too look them up. Why did they come up but not my kolonapin and why did they pop up because I never heard of them or used them? ## They are also types of Benzodiazepines, just like the Clonazepam in the Klonopin and, if the place doing the testing uses the less expensive, non-certified tests, then they are known to show false positives anywhere from 4 to 50% of the time. Very worried. I have MS so I take several narcotic type meds. Klonopin is one. I take 2mg 3 times a day which is a large dose for good reason. Even with multiple sclerosis & other medical problems, I too get tested in pain management. I have no addiction history but I do feel bad for those who do & wish them well. I take my med as told to but took urine test today that said there was no klonopin in my system. They are now sending it out to one more lab but how can that not show up? Well I went to my family doctor and he wrote me a script of clonazepam 2mg. I start my intensive out patient Monday. I will be doing a 12 panel urine screen, I have only taken one and that was last night on Wednesday. So please someone tell me will it be out? ## If u hv a valid rx it does not mstter if it shows up. Has anyone ever been prescribed Clonazepam and been drug tested and a minute amount of Alprazolam showed positive in your urine? ## Found out it was Accord brand made in China and through my research it looks as if Accord brand is not always FDA approved. I will never take that brand again I have been drug tested for over 20 years with NEVER a positive drug screen until I picked up my last prescription and within one week of taking it had a drug screen and a small minute amount of Alprazolam was positive in that test. This has caused a backlash of horrible circumstances and should have NEVER happened. There is no recourse for me except digging and pinning down when and where this PATICULAR medication came from.

I'm currently on 100 mg of methadone and I had taken a 1mg klonopin. Approximately 15 hours later I had a urine test. Will the klonopin show up in the test? ## No, I wouldn't worry about it at all. Clonazapam doesn't show up on a normal drug test as a benzo, unless you have taken a lot!! I take 1mg *2 daily and it never shows up in my UA I get every month. been taking clonaxepan 1mg 3 times daily for 2yrs stopped it 2 weeks ago. but took 1 tablet ea day for last 4 days. i have a job interview 3 days from now will this show up. this is a perscribed med. never abused it. side effects out weighed the plusess. ## Clonazepam is a Benzodiazepine and these are actually the problematic medications for urine tests, because they can be detectable for as long as 6 weeks, after your last use.
