Will Buspar show up in urine screen? ## Hi Sally, From what I could gather, a standard drug test will generally not test for this drug in your system, but a specific lab test that is looking for it can and will detect the drug. However, if you have a prescription, just let them know prior to your test and you wont have to worry about it anyways. I would actually be more concerned about possibly having a false positive on the drug screen for something else, just because I hear about it happening so often with many other drugs. But other than that you should be fine based on a number of personal reviews I have read on the topic. I hope this helps! ...

what can cause a false positive for benzo urine test
I take soma, lortab, trazadone, buspar, Vistaril, Zoloft, melatonin, valerian root, naproxen, and occasionally Benadryl. I showed up benzos in my drug test and my doctor uses a good test, so I am puzzled. Would any of these make me show for having benzos on my test. ## Yes trazadone is the culprit ..happened to me a few times .. But only on strip test ..ask for lab test and that will clear it up ## From what I understand valerian root can make you show a false positive for benzo's most people don't know it but it def. Can so be careful with that! ## Tested POSITIVE for BENZOs without taking any!! Could CYMBALTA do this? or neurontin,? That is all i have taken besides methadone that I am prescribed, but the doctor that gives that to me, gives me random drug screens and says I tes... ...

Buspar(busiprone) & false positives - YES, they can happen
I've noticed a-lot of poeple out there are asking about buspar, & false postives.. as well as it's relation to xanax (alprazalam). Let me start off by saying that my husband is prescribed 15mg. buspar (I believe 1 3x a day) along w/some other drugs from his pyschologist such as ambien, and depacote. I can state that I took his buspar during a horrible anxiety/panic attack (also known as busiprone) and I also need to mention I go to a methadone clinic. After taking the buspar, I went to clinic to take my usual drug-screen (also let me mention I was receiving takehomes, only going once every 2 weeks as I'd never failed a drug test), thinking nothing of it as I'd read they don't show up as anything. Well, WRONG for me.. my drug test came back 100% positive for benzo... ...

I had a surprise drug screening done by my probation officer. I had done little bit of cocaine, and tested positive for that and suboxone. I have never taken suboxone before. I am on buspar, wellbutrin, and nuerontin, and just recently started the nuerontin. can either of these meds or all of them combined cause the reasoning for the positive result for the suboxone? ## I go to methadone clinic and I took nothing but methadone and Nuerontin, but it showed methadone and suboxone on my urine drug screen. Can nuerontin show up as suboxone on a urine drug screen? ## There are actually quite a few substances that can cause false positives for various opiates (such as suboxone), far too many to list them all, actually. The biggest perpetrators are other synthetic or semi-synthetic opiates. Bupr... ...

could this combination of medication cause a false positive for xanax
i take the medications kolipin, wellbutrin, buspar, and colindine. could this combination of drugs cause a false postive for xanax on a urine drug screen ## No. If you are on kolonopin it is a Benson as well and will not show up as xanax just benzodiazipine. I have never seen a test that test for different benzos. ## Actually, it can depend on the type of test your doctor is using. If it is one of the less expensive, non-certified tests, then they are known to show false positives anywhere from 4 to 50% of the time. Thus, the false positive could have been caused by the Klonopin, since it is another Benzodiazepine and therefore is a relative of the Xanax and medications that are in the same families are the ones that are most commonly known to cause false positives for each other. Has y... ...
