Have chronic degenerative disc disease; buprenorphine makes bile rise. Vicodin (Narco) works now since I took it over 12 yrs ago. I recently left my CP doc because he refused to prescribe adequate pain meds. Am looking authentic pain med doc/clinic in Boulder CO who will believe how much pain I'm in without my having to cry. ## A new dr will want to get a copy of your medical records from your previous dr. You crying won't convince a dr you're in pain.

I have Ankylosing Spondylitus, fibromyalgia, degenerative disk desease with two herniated disk and 3 bulging. Facet joint damage etc.. Im a mess. I have been on Norco (1-2 pills a day as needed) for about 8 years. I need a new doctor who will prescribe this without thinking I am a drug addict!! I have never asked for more and it is pretty much the only way I can function as a mom and normal human being without being housebound. It is so depressing that people who NEED these medicines are now being punished for all the recreational users. I live in Alpharetta Ga. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!!! ## My name is Anthony and I just moved here from Chicago IL aid I take 2mg zanx and 10/325 Norco for pain I really need to find a doctor ASAP please

I'm tapering off of opiate pain meds, but I'm constantly sick to my stomach. I consume marijuana, and it helps tremendously. My Dr has known that I have been using marijuana for the whole time that I've been seeing him. Well, on my last visit he not only lowered me more than we had previously talked about, but he also said that I HAD to stop having marijuana or else I'd be kicked out. So I tried, and I couldn't keep anything down. I'm NOT a pain pill seeker, I'm trying to STOP taking pain meds altogether, and just use cannabis. I'm already driving to the tri cities (I live in Yakima Wa). I'm at my wits end. Is there any Dr in Yakima that will help me? ## I'm not one bit educated in Washington's laws. I've actually saw 2 & am now going to the 2nd as he listens better, is thorough & very innovative. I saw Dr Z at Texas Pain Physicians... He has a somewhat dull personality, doesn't communicate well but does FANTASTIC inj's... He kept me on the same meds as my last dr (fentanyl patch & percocets, zanaflex)....

I too am a chronic pain sufferer, I was in a bad car accident several years ago, all my limbs were broken at once and they used my hip to rebuild one of my feet. I have a GP that has been helping me but now feels she has been letting me use too many narcotics and has abrubtly cut me off. I'm interested in controlling the pain not using the pills but it feels like nobody really cares. Is there any doctors in the Kansas City area who believe in pain management with narcotics. I believe that if you don't understand the pain of the indivdual it's hard to understand why we ask these questions. I don't want to shop for a docotor that's not what I do but what are we suppose to do if they won't help us. ## Hello, JJ! How are you doing? I am very sorry about the problem t...

I am trying to find a doctor in Montgomery Alabama who will prescribe Subutex for lower back pain and I have a couple of friends who go to a doctor for this but he recently stopped taking patients. I don't want to be on any kind of opiate BC of the chance of getting addicted to it. My friends all say it works great for them and I'm just trying to find another doctor who would prescribe me this, BC again, I don't want to be on any kind of pain killer but I also don't want to be in pain all the time. It would be great if you could help me out with this question. Thank you! ## Hello, Ryan! How are you? Actually, the active ingredient in Subutex is an opiate, Buprenorphine, so it carries the same risk of being habit forming as all other narcotics. The FDA lists its typical s...

Same as many: pain doc retired. Must find a new one. I've been on high doses of pain meds (so I hear) 30mg mscontin 3x day, 20mg oxycodone up to 80mg per day. Doc retired. I live in Missoula, MT. I was at a pain clinic but got tired of the constant numbness I got from the MS contin I was prescribed, so I withdrew on my own. It was hell, I had been on them for 4 years. I somehow thought the pain would go away. It didn't. I have low back pain from two torn discs, stenosis, and a facet joint problem. My regular doc will give me meds from time to time when I wrench my back. But he is on sabattical and his partner will NOT even discuss my pain....I am so frustrated! Any suggestions on who I can see who may help me for the short term? ## Hello, Kinger33! How are you? Generally, Morphine is a bad idea for that type of pain, it can actually cause some inflammation of the joints, which can make back pain worse, while taking it. As to the doctor not prescribing...

I have both chronic and acute headaches. I've taken everything. The only relief I ever get is through narcotics. No one will prescribe them so I've spent the last 10 years in bed, in the dark. I would really like to die because the pain is so bad. When it gets bad I'll go to the ER but they won't even help me. I also have a problem with my body making kidney stones. Please help. ## Hello, Rocky! How are you? Due to the new regulations that were put in place last year, if you require narcotics on a long-term ongoing basis, you'll need to see a specialist. A PCP won't be able to prescribe them for you. Thus, you'll likely need to see a neurologist and a urologist. Do you currently have a PCP that could refer you to other doctors? If so, that would be the best w...

I have been suffering from a failed patella replacement for 12 years. Tramadol sometimes helps, but the risks for stroke are too high. I was being treated by a doctor in RI but he lost his license. Is there anyone in Boston area who can prescribe vicodin 10/325 legally? ## Well, any doctor can prescribe it legally. The main issues are just why its being prescribed, how much, for how long and etc. Learn more Vicodin details here. With the new regulations and issues on the east coast regarding doctors prescribing improperly and over prescribing, your best bet is going to be with a pain management specialist. Do you have a general practitioner that you see regularly who may be able to refer you somewhere? ## Risk for stroke? That's not an elevated risk with tramadol; no more than any o...

What type of doctor are you seeing? If you require heavy narcotics on a long-term ongoing basis, you'll need to see a specialist, so pain management might be your best bet. The FDA lists this medication as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Anyone know a doctor that will prescribe pain medication in Mobile Alabama? Suffer from severe arthritis and neck and back problems. ## HI, Daisy! Sorry that you're in pain. Since you're in Alabama, the best suggestion I can make is that find yourself a regular, general practitioner and then discuss the issue with them, so they can refer you for pain management. Basically the area of the U.S. from Iowa, Arkansas and etc. over to the east have all been hit with a ton of new regulations for the prescribing of pain medications, due to the heavy rates of improper and over prescribing that were going on. Under these new regulations, general practitioners are restricted in what they are allowed to prescribe for pain and how long they can prescribe it, so most patients requiring strong...
