Doctors Who Will Prescribe Pain Medication New Orleans

hey everybody. A pain management patient. And I am trying to find a new doctor right now I am trying to find a doctor hopefully in the West Bank area and who is a generous Dr. And compassionate. I have seen many doctors over the past 5 years and I take very very large amounts of narcotics because of my incredibly severe injuries to my spine a Mississippi River barge accident. I was told by the people at Tulane Hospital I was the absolute worst they have ever seen. So yeah.. I need to find a new doctor right now who can prescribe me medicine that I need to be on. Specifically looking for a doctor who not only would take my insurance, but who is also prescribed me my dilaudid IV medicine that I can take home from the pharmacy.any kind of help would be much appreciated. I have been on suboxone for many years now and Im trying to find a suboxone doctor that accepts medicaid in the New Orleans area. Please help! ## They are few and far between! Although, I do know of a Doctor in DeQuincy, LA who prescribes Suboxone and also accepts Medicaid for the office visit. This doctor is extremely peculiar and is very, very strict. His name is Dr. Jagjit Chadha and his wife also can prescribe Suboxone and she is in the same office as he is. My previous doctor is no longer practicing and I have been a CPP for more than 20 years. For the last 7, I was prescribed 2-80 mg Oxycontin ER twice a day and 30 mg oxycodone every 6 hours for breakthrough pain. I have not been able to find a doctor who accepts my insurance, most want cash and the visits are sky high-which I wouldn't mind if I was getting prescribed a long-acting and short-acting pain medicine. Most will also not want you to jump from Hydrocodone straight to Suboxone. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Do you currently have a PCP that could refer you to someone for pain management? If so, that might be the easiest way to find the help you need. Can anyone suggest a good doctor in that area?
