Doctors On Long Island That Prescribe Oxycodone

I've been suffering from low back pain have two herniated disc's in my back have MRI results was recently out of work for four months just got back to work I've been taking oxycodone for three years.my workers comp doctor prescribed me three months worth of meds and now I'm out .Dony know where to turn I have great insurance.... ## Same situation…been on meds for 9 years. Let me know if you found any doctors. I have wasted my time for different doctors for different visits with no help, it makes no sense.

I had a dr who was prescribing me 150 30mg roxycodone every month. He decided the past month that he no longer is writing them and is only writing subs. I cannot find a dr who will write me my script. Can anyone suggest anyone? ## Who was the doctor ## I'm sorry about the problem that you've run into. However, you're not going find a doctor to just write you your prescription, as a matter of fact, if you're contacting doctors to ask them about prescribing such a medication, they're all going to be inclined to tell you no and not even let you get in the door, because they consider that to be drug seeking behavior. I have chronic disc, bone, nerve damage have many other nerve, bone and tendon damage. Had injections, surgery and nothing helps. Going to a pain clinic in Rhode Island and love my doctor but wait is extremely long. Don't know how to find another doctor in area who will continue to prescribe Meds on and need to cope and quality of life. I WILL SELF PAY ## Under the new regulations that went into effect on April 1st, doctors no longer have any choice but to be sticklers about prescribing such medications. If they aren't careful and don't very closely monitor their patients, they risk losing their license to practice medicine. And being a self-pay is just going to make it even harder. I am having a hard time finding a dr in staten island NY. Even after being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis 3years ago& being prescribed oxycontin for almost 2 years my dr has moved his practice& no other doctors are willing to help me the same way my last doc was now with him not around& me off the meds I was on for so long my pain from MS has progressed I do have all mri's& documents that state I do have MS. ln pain since my colonoscopy (don't do it...) The instruments are unable to be completely sterilized which left me in a horror. Looking for a Pain Management Dr. On Long Island or the 5 Boro Who Will Still Prescribe Narcotic Pain Medications For Mutiple Areas Of Chronic Pain. ie. Oxycodone, Percocet, Oxycontin, etc. Shots have not worked or cannot be cleared for some by my Cardiologist and Manipulation and Exercises Cannot Be Tolerated Without Pain Medications.
