Please help me. I am in need of a doctor in or near Mandeville Louisiana who will put me back on Xanax. I was on it for four years till I lost my insurance. I am now back on my insurance through amerigroup and need help finding a physician who will put me back on Xanax and cover my visit and prescription with my current insurance provider, which again is Amerigroup. I've got an mri reporty, and the mri itself on a cd, and live in southern louisiana. a lot of ppl used to go to houston, but the dea cracked down. I am searching for a good pain management doctor in Louisiana. The only pain medication I can tolerate is Methadone. ## You will need a copy of your medical records from your previous dr. There is no guarantee that another dr will prescribe you Methadone. When someone asks for a specific drug, it is a red flag or drug seekers. I had been on Suboxone for almost 8 years. In my opinion it is a wonder drug compared to all the opiates that the pain clinics are all too willing to prescribe .I have been out of my Suboxone for a week & a half. I feel like I am dying. I can not sleep. I have a 5 month old new baby boy. I can hardly pick him up due to the pain that I am in. I hurt all over. i have been so nauseated. I’m in Lake Charles and my Doctor stopped my Percocet 10/325 mainly because I was complaining about it no longer working. Different manufacturers & fillers I believe. Anyway I’m currently on SSI Disability for my chronic pain and since stopping the Oxycodone last August I’ve had no quality of life. I have been taking 120 mg of methadone for approximately 5 years. My husbands job transferred us from Florida to Louisiana where I found a pretty good pain doc. He is now running scared and wants to take me off of methadone. Methadone has given me a good quality of life; I am able to work and be a productive member of society.
