I'm on here looking for a solid doctor from people that have had a good experience, as my PCP keeps telling me to go see a pain management doctor. I'm looking for a doctor that still prescribes 30mg oxycodone with no problems. I have 5 years of medical records and continued proof of taking oxycodone but can only get 15mg which isn't enough to make my pain go away. Please help me asap! Thanks {edited for privacy} ## Hello, Rob! How are you? I'm sorry, but there is no listing of doctors according to what they will or will not prescribe that I can refer to for you. Technically, any doctor with their license to practice medicine could prescribe it, but there's no way to be certain they will, even if they are a pain management specialist. The only thing you can do is set ...

Methadone and oxycodone 15mg in the Dallas Salem Oregon area. ## I need a doctor in Salem or Dallas ore gon that will continue prescribing me methadone and oxycodone. ## Hi Tanja, Have you tried asking your current doctor for a referral? I may not have a doctor I can refer you to, but I can provide you with a couple links that may be of service to you in locating pain management doctors within your general area. All you have to do is input your city or zip code for narrowed results: {link removed because site no longer exists} You can give this other page a try too if you come up with different results for some reason or another: wellness.com/find/pain%20management%20specialist Many of the results you find (in one or both of the links a...

I dont have insurance so i cant afford the expensive pain management clinics here. I need a doctor who will write my rx for 20mg oxycodone or other things i need without the usual uptight doctor response of "only once, go to pain management". I've had 34 ortho surgeries and have constant mind bending pain. I take as directed. Just need what used to be known as a "dr. feelgood". Portland, Oregon ## Unfortunately, no one can really know ahead of time what a doctor is or is not willing to prescribe, as that is based on the doctor's discretion and not just on someone else's previous appointment (especially since many doctor's are now worried about losing their licensing for prescribing too many narcotics). Some advice I can give you is to not specifically ask...

I need to find a doctor that doesn't have a problem prescribing Xanax. I'd also like to find a doctor who prescribes pain meds without the run around. Please Help!! ## Unfortunately, doctors don't have a choice but to be very careful and strict about prescribing such medications. There are regulations in place to enforce this, they have to have valid reasons for prescribing and that can include having to give you the run around, such as having to see other doctors and have tests done. If they don't, they run the risk of losing their license to practice medicine. Since Xanax and narcotic pain medications can also be habit forming and very dangerous if used improperly, there are other factors that doctors have to be cautious about. I am a 45 yr old female who has chronic pain. 18 yrs ago I was an addict ans was on methadone treatment for 7 yrs in seattle. I moved to Idaho and detoxed off my program for 3+yrs. I had back surgery and was prescribed meds that unfortunatly gave me some physical addiction. I asked my family doc for methadone for pain and explained my past. He prescribed to me for 2 yrs and refered me to a pain clinic due to pain issues and the pain doc discontinued my methadone and used dillaudid. I have recently moved to ontario oregon and cant make the 65 mile drive regularly and most all the docs I have seen refuse to prescribe pain meds sometimes period. I am up front and talk about my past openly but dont feel I should suffer with so much pain. I have less quality of life and I feel my kids and fa...

I need to find a doctor that doesn't have a problem prescribing Xanax. I'd also like to find a doctor who prescribes pain meds without the run around. Please Help!! ## When it comes to the 'run around' as you call it, they really have no choice in the matter, there are very strict government regulations in place that they have to adhere to in order to keep their license to practice medicine. And due to the new regulations, if you require a medication like Xanax, as well as pain management, you'll most likely need to see a different doctor for each issue. There has been a lot of concern about improper prescribing and over prescribing, so the DEA is trying to transition general practitioners and surgeons away from treating conditions that they haven't been speciall...

I am looking for a list of Suboxone providers in the Portland Oregon area that accept Medicare as payment. Suboxone for Pain Management specifically. ## There is no specific list of doctors that prescribe it for pain management, because actually any doctor can prescribe it for that, just like Methadone. The specialty lists are just for those that need it for addiction treatment. Learn more Suboxone details here. However, the problem you may run into is if you are contacting doctors and wanting them to prescribe a specific medication, because most doctors will consider that drug seeking behavior. The best thing you can do is find a pain management specialist that accepts your Medicare and make sure that they get a full copy of your medical records. If they see what has and hasn't wor...

suffering from cronic headaches and neck pain due to a variety of events ## looking for a new dr. who will be willing to give me the same meds as I was taking before I moved here, they are narcotics that I take on a regualar basis for headaches and neck pain, hydro codone 10 to be exact, where I came from it is tough to find a dr. who will help you, how will I start over in Portland to find a helpful Dr.? ## I'd suggest looking for someone that specializes in pain management and making sure that they get a full copy of your medical records from your prior doctor. In many cases, if you go in asking for a specific medication they will see it as drug seeking behavior, but they can see what works for you as documented by other physicians, they are more likely to prescribe accordingly. He is really old, very funny. Just prescribed me 90 Soma with 5 refills. That is 540 SOMA when others can't get their Doc to write for SOMA at all. ## What is his name is he in Oregon ? ## He should be in Oregon. Just a "County" Doctor in a small Rural area near Vegas. ## Do you know his name? Thank you so veryuch ## Well yes I know his name, really don't want to post it here but I did want to dispel the myth that Doctors are not writing for SOMA or it can't be refilled... I have found Doctors who hate the drug because they might have had personal experience with it and know it does not really have much therapeutic value. On the other hand it makes you feel better and doctors know that as well. By developing a working relationship with your provider over time is the ...

You will need a copy of your medical records proving that there is a reason. But, there are no guarantees. Many drs have stopped prescribing Soma, especially with certain pain meds due to OD's and ER visits that involve these meds.

I am trying to find a doctor in Salem, Oregon who will do a pain contract for pain management for multiple sclerosis, fibromyalgia, failed back surgery syndrome, brachioplexus neuropathy and palsy, to get my quality of life back. I was on MS Contin 30 mg x 3 and Oxycodone 5 mg for breakthrough. ## Hi, If you're wanting to get on Suboxone call Wellness And Recovery at 503-589-0539 in Salem, Oregon. They're the only clinic licensed to prescribe Suboxone for pain. It's $200 cash every month though. They don't take any insurance. They will give you a receipt that you can turn into your insurance to see if they will reimburse you. The doctors name is Dr. Hellman. Their are lots of reviews of her online, all good.

my doctor moved out of state and I'm having a very hard time finding a doctor willing to prescribe Soma. If you can help please let me know ## Try another Doctor? ## I have! They said they or their practice no longer will prescribe them. ## Many drs no longer rx Soma due to the high rate of abuse. Asking a dr to rx a drug like Soma is a way to not get it. ## While it is highly abused its still just a schedule 4 medicine. I have a Doctor who likes me very much and knows I have had back surgery and was hit by a Semi Truck last year. I have one of 3 refills left and yeas things are changing and one day I expect him to say no yet that has not happened?

It's comparable to Methadone, but much, much better. You need to find a Dr. that's qualified to prescribe it, usually a Psychiatrist is who you need to see. SUBOXONE comes in pill form. You take it 1 time a day. It's taken sublingually, (Under the Tongue). It is a VERY long lasting drug. It won't make you feel high, but it will get you "Well" it's much easier to g...

need a new doc for pain rx in portland. Have insurance, injury, but need to find appropriate relationship. ## Hello, Vanessa! How are you? I'm sorry, but I have no way of knowing whether or not any given doctor is going to prescribe anything. Do you have a PCP that you see regularly? Due to the new WA state laws, I have been taken off Oxy 10s and put on Buprenorphine which is not working. Need to find a doctor in Oregon. I currently live in Seattle. ## If you live in WA and have a WA identification, then a doctor in Oregon isn't going to be able to prescribe you a controlled substance, either. The same laws have been put in effect throughout the U.S., not just in WA. If you require something such as Oxycodone for long-term pain treatment, except for in rare cases, you'll have to see a pain management specialist for treatment. There are new restrictions on what any general practice doctor or surgeon can prescribe. Learn more Buprenorphine details here. There have been new regulations put in place that all doctors must follow, or they run the risk of losing their license to practice medicine. In light of those regulations, if you require such a medication on a long-term ongoing basis for chronic pain, you'll need to see a pain management specialist, a PCP will not be able to prescribe it for you.
