Ok so I just started the sprintec. If I'm on the white pills and want my period to stop, should I start on my blue bills again?? ## Hi Boo! U should really stick 2 the directions of taking the pill. Even though the white pills r 2 keep u on track, u should still take them. U want 2 keep your body on a schedule. Did u just start the pill, recently? If so, your periods could b off 4 a couple of months. Then, usually, the periods will slow down. Some women don't get their period, after a few months. Hope this info helps. ## To prevent your period, you'd basically have to let it not start, but going straight into a new pack of active pills and skipping the white ones. It is usually perfectly to safe to do, once in awhile, unless your doctor gives you some reason not do. There ar...

My gal was on her periods she took the white pill from her friend to stop her period for that day. That didn't work its been 8 days now, her periods they just not stopping. And shes not on any kinds of contraceptives. It was her 1st time taking that pill on that day on her periods for that matter. famynor white pill ## Taking one tablet is not going to stop her period, according to NIH reports, it can actually mess with her hormone levels, and disrupt her period to make it last longer, or be heavier than normal. Other side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, mood changes, and weight changes. How is she doing, now? Has there been any change? She should not any medication that has not been prescribed for her. Is she on any other medications? ## Thank u for the information...

I have been on tri-sprintec for the past 6 months. I recently skipped the sugar pills, that way I wouldn't have my period for a special occasion. I started my new pack right away and this past week I have been bleeding, very lightly, but I was wondering is it normal to bleed if you skip the white pills and start a new pack right away? ## Yes, this can happen and is perfectly normal. Your body was just ready to continue with its normal cycle and you disrupted it. It can also happen because your body just isn't used to having the hormones that week. If the bleeding doesn't stop or gets heavier, then please see your doctor. Do you have any other questions? ## Hello - I take Tri-Sprintec but it has recently changed to Tri-Previfem. Anyways, I was wondering if missing the last 2 ...

This is my first time using the Oralcon. 1. I'm currently breastfeeding my 5 month old baby and I realized when I started the pill my milk production is less. Could the pill be the cause. Also 2. I've taken all 21 of the white pills and I'm on my third red pill and my period is here. Do I stop taking the red pills and start taking another set of white ones or do I continue taking the red pills until its finished before I start another pack? ## Hello, Kimmy! How are you? Yes, you should continue taking them and then start a new pack once you finish this one, according to the NIH. As to milk production, the NIH does not that anything that may affect your hormones could also change your milk production. Is your baby still being adequately fed? Are you on any other medications? ...

I've been on tri sprintec for about a year now. Im on my LAST white pill today (saturday) bUT still have not had my period this week and I usually start on Wednesdays. Is that normal and should I still start my new pack tomorrow even though I haven't started my period? ## Hello, Angee! How are you? Yes, you should still start the new pack on schedule, unless you missed any pills, so there's a risk of pregnancy, or your doctor advises otherwise. Some women do skip periods, start late or stop having them entirely, while on oral contraceptives. The FDA lists other possible side effects as including nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability and PMS-like symptoms. Is there anything else I can help with?

Today when i suppose to start my white pill new batch there i get my period, So do i carry on with the white pill or what do i need to do. ## Oral contraceptives can cause irregular periods, as a side effect, according to NIH reports, along with nausea, headache, weight gain, and mood changes. Some women stop having periods, entirely, while taking them. According to normal instructions, you should continue taking them, as usual. Is there any change that you are pregnant? Really confused on why my period hasn't stopped yet...How long does it take for the bleeding to stop if i am already on another pack? I have been bleeding for almost 3 weeks... somebody please help!!!! ## Hello, Tiffany! How are you? I have been taking minastrin foe 6 months now. I always have a normal period while on the brown pills. This month I haven't had anything. I was intimate on the last day of what would of been a brown, I don't take brown since I was told that are inactive. I am on day 3 of white pills on a new pack and still no period. Could I be pregnant? ## The brown tablets contain a small amount of iron, but yes, you are correct, otherwise they are just placebo tablets. Some women tend to bleed heavily and risk becoming anemic, taking them can help prevent that, though the NIH warns that they do not contain enough iron to treat existing anemia. And it can be normal to skip your period, sometimes, while taking oral contraceptives, according to the FDA. Some women have even stopped menstruating ...

I take Tri-Sprintec and I was wondering if missing the last 2 white pills in the package (for Friday and Saturday made any difference at all and if it's okay for me to just ignore those and begin my next package which starts Sunday? By not taking the last 2 white pills, will my period stop for the last 2 days of my cycle? ## The last week of pills in the Tri-Sprintec 28 day pack are inactive, and can be skipped, however, this will not alter the duration of your period, it should still last as long as it normally does, unless your doctor states otherwise. Ref: Tri-Sprintec Information The FDA lists the typical side effects of hormonal contraceptives as possibly including nausea, dizziness, weight changes, mood changes, and irregular vaginal bleeding.

Or should I take the red ones in the new packet? ## Hello, Grace! How are you? Your cycle may change, when taking oral contraceptives, so your period may not last a full 7 days, but that is okay, as long as your doctor doesn't see a reason to be concerned. Some women stop having periods altogether, while taking oral contraceptives, according to NIH reports. You may also experience nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability, and PMS-like symptoms. This month I skipped the white pills so I wouldn't have my period. Instead of the white pills I went right to the new pack of blue pills. The sunday the white pills would have stopped, I started to spot, it's not a full period but it is annoying and has now been going on for a little more than a week. Is this normal, how long should the bleeding last, is is okay to be taking the blue pills while on my "period"??? ## Basically, your body was expecting that one week break from hormones and it didn't get it, you continued to take the hormone tablets. It is normal to have some spotting and breakthrough bleeding, when this occurs. I can't say how long it will last, for some people, it could be several weeks. And yes, it is okay to take them while you are having the bl...

Hi. I'm 19 yrs old and just started my period today. I heard that taking 800mg of ibuprofen every 6 hours can temporarily stop the bleeding. My question is, does it work for any kind of ibuprofen or just the red ones? I have white 600mg tablets. Can I use those and they will work just as effectively? ## Hi Lydia, Based on my research, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (such as Ibuprofen or naproxen) may help reduce menstrual bleeding by decreasing the production of substances called prostaglandins. I haven't read anything about certain colored tablets having a greater effect than others in this regard, so I'm thinking that is just something which can only be determined through trial and error. Cramp bark is also a natural alternative touted for it's use in alleviatin...

I accidentally drank my white pill while on my period (Supposed to drink red) without thinking. What do i do? just go on finishing my red pill and then start as usual whit white? will i be unsafe? ## In most cases, a doctor will just have you continue taking the rest, as you should, but it is always best to consult them to be sure. The NIH lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability, irregular bleeding, and PMS-like symptoms. How are you doing? Did you experience any problems? ## Hi. I have gone on the Depo injection about 3 weeks ago and have been getting me periods non stop. I was advised to drink the white Oralcon Pill for a day or 2. I visited the clinic and they gave me Oralcon and said that I must take 2 white tablets immediately and thereafter 1 a day until my period stops. After the 2nd day of taking Oralcon my period had stopped but I was experiencing terrible stomach pain so I stopped taking the Oralcon and my period has started again. Okay so I have searched high and low and even asked my pharmacist but I don't think they understood my question. I was on the implant for years and after bad side effects switched to the pill (tri-previfem). I went a month without any form of birth control between the two to let my body sort itself out and DID NOT have ANY intercourse, remained abstinent. My period started on Sunday and I started my BC pack day one, week one - 746 pill (white/greyish) - on that Sunday that I started. I've taken it for three days now and my period stopped, is that supposed to happen? I know I'm supposed to have my period on the last week (week 4) so is it supposed to stop my period once I start taking it the first week? If I could get an answer I would be soooooo grateful! Thanks in advance! ...

I have taken tab. Regesterone twice daily for 15 days to postpone my period. please let me know after stopping Regesterone, after how many days I will get my periods ## Your cycle should start within a day or 2 of stopping the tablets. However, this is a hormone, so if using it has created an imbalance in your body, it may take longer for your cycle to start. Additionally, it could be longer, shorter or heavier than normal. So, if anything unusual occurs, please consult your doctor. Is there anything else I can help with? ## i wanted to postpone my periods because its my wedding on 28th of September so i started taking regesterone 5 mg twice daily since 17th September but have noticed a constant white discharge making me uneasy due to wetness since 2 days does that indicate that my peri...

I have been taking Lo Loestrin Fe for 4 months now and i have only had 1 peroid and that was in the first month. I have continued having weird reactions so i have chosen to stop the pill. I stopped it on a blue pill 3 days before i switched to the white. It has been 5 days now and still no period. When should I expect to get it? Pregnancy test was neg a week ago. This drug just really seems to have me messed up. Anyone have any helpfull info? Thanx! ## Have you consulted your doctor? It is difficult to say when you may start your menstrual cycle, since as you said, it clearly has your hormones messed up, somewhat. There are other hormonal contraceptives that you can try, that may work better for you. But only your doctor can help you decide that. ## Hi Jae, I got off the pill about a mo...
