Do You Have Diarrhea After Colonoscopy

what can I take to help stop this diarrhea. I have this 3 to 4 times a week. I am really confined to the house as I never know when this is going to hit me. No help from the various doctors. I think you'd be best served to see a specialist, such as a gastroenterologist, they are the most knowledgeable about such things. Have the doctors done any tests? My doctor diagnosed me with RA October 2011 and prescribed Meloxicam 15mg. I asked for the bloodwork to show my pain doctor and was told by his PA that my bloodwork does not show I have RA. I am in complete shock!!! 1st, why would he do this and 2nd, will taking this for all these years without having RA cause issues? I am having bouts of diarrhea and just had a colonoscopy and an upper GI is scheduled next month. i have severe paint in my lower abdomin for more than two years. went to several doctors. all reports show normal. did a colonoscopy n CT scan. it like cramping pain and last for a while. there is so much gas bloating in my abdomen. most of the time, have loose motions or semi and dark in color. dont know what is the cause of the pain. have numbness in my feet sometimes. ## Have you looked into dietary causes? Usually such gas, diarrhea, cramping and etc. are all symptoms caused by foods, or beverages, according to NIH reports. Although, some medication can also cause such symptoms. Do you take any medications regularly? What were the results of the colonoscopy and CT scan?

Have just had colonoscopy and endoscopy for severe disorders. No results yet from biopsies taken. Calvepen666 is causing diarrhoea and pain. At a loss as to why prescribed. Are there not more appropriate antibiotics for sensitive stomachs.? ## Hello, Vera! How are you? Unfortunately no, diarrhea and stomach pain can be side effects of all antibiotics, as reported by the U.S. FDA. You may also experience dizziness and headache. All medications carry the risk of causing side effects, it is just the nature of adding a chemical to the body to correct or prevent a possible problem. Is there anything else I can help with?

Since I started with this drug, over a year ago, I have had diarrhea. Now I am having stomach pains. A stool sample showed hidden blood. I am being prepared for a colonoscopy. I feel this med is the culprit, even though cardio says he doesn't think so. I am going to ask for a different med. See if I can get this under control. ## Hello, Barb! How are you? According to the side effects listed by the FDA, Pradaxa has been known to cause blood in the stool of some people that take it, along with bleaching, indigestion, heart burn and burning throat. I took 68 grams (4 caps) of Miralax today because the colonoscopy procedure that I will have (this is two days before the pocedure). I had to use the restroom after 5 hours. Is that normal? My sgpt level was 29 in 2018, 43 in 2019 and 66 in 2021, all other parameters of lft like sgot, ggt are stable. why is this shift in sgpt/alt level. i am feeeling fatigue, weight loss and indigestion, stomach growling and diarrheal symptoms after eating. i have done endoscopy and colonoscopy and reports are fine. in prepping for a colonoscopy, i had to half the large bottle of miralax to mix with liquid. large bottle is 8.3, so i went to half that and realized the large bottle contains 12 oz, not 8.3 as labeled.....why???? they say that the 17oz lid has 14 servings (8.3) but i measured out the 14 servings in the lid, and there is still more than 8.3...so do i prep with 8.3 oz or the whole bottle (which everyone assumes is 8.3!!) ## Hello, Jan! I switched to Pristiq Aug 2012 after being on Prozac which seemed to stopped helping me with depression. Two months later I developed a severe large intestine bleed accompanied with severe pain. After a CT which found inflammation I was put on Flagyl and Cipro. I developed diarrhea and was gettting worse instead of better after 4 days and was hospitalized. A cdiff culture came back positive which was probably non active until I was put on the antibiotics. (was on effexor not Pristiq in hospital) I was released and sent home (back on Pristiq). Hello everyone. I've always had issued with construction growing up. Recently went to my gastroenterologist and he performed a colonoscopy with he didn't finish due to my colon having a curve. Now I need to get a CT scan colonoscopy. In the meantime he prescribed Kindness 145mg. I took it on Tuesday for the 1st time immediately after eating. My pharmacist didn't label the directions on it so I had no idea it was to be taken 30 minutes prior to eating. Wow! I had diarrhea about an hour later and lasted for 12 hours.
