Has anyone found Visine L.R. or (Oxymetazoline HCI Eye Drops) which is the active ingredient in VIsine L.R. which makes it work SO well. PLEASE let me know when someone either has found the product, it's equivalent or heard from Visine.com about whether or not they will continue to sell this product. ## Hello, Sandy! How are you? I'm very sorry about the problem that you're having. From what I've found, it has been discontinued and there is no news on them bringing it back. At this time, it is listed as only being used in nasal sprays. Have you consulted your doctor? They may know of an alternative that works well. Has anyone else found anything that works as well? ## Please any info on Visine LR would be appreciated. Their is no other one that can help my husband. ## Bu...

There seems to be some demand for a GLYX-13 discussion (now known as Rapastinel) so I would like to start one here. ## Great! Do u need me to help notify everyone who has written about it? Especially because two people are currently in studies! ## Yeah that would be great, the link to here is posted in the other thread but if you have a way to get ahold of them that would be good. ## From what I could gather, GLYX-13 is said to be a molecular cousin to "ketamine", inducing similar antidepressant properties without the common street drug side effects. This info was reported from a study funded by the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) that was published this past April 2013 in Neuropsychopharmacology. I think other's who may be in the following Ketamine discussion thr...

I do not take triamterene every day as it says on the prescription, it does say as needed so I take it every other day or every two days, I have been getting constipated lately, and I wonder if I am ok in doing what I am doing with this prescription. thank you. ## Hello, Leslie! How are you? This is a diuretic and they can be prescribed and taken on an as needed basis, so taking it that way is fine, as long as your doctor approves. I have a standing prescription for one myself that's only to be taken as needed, because I dehydrate too easily to take it all the time. The FDA lists its typical side effect as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache and increased urination. It's hard to say what may be causing the constipation. Are you on any other medications? Have your eati...

high pertensition drug ## I have been taking this medication for years, but in Canada, the drug store, does not know what it is. is there a generic North american name for it? ## side effects of bezide tablets and what are they for? ## Sorry, since this is not from the US, I am unable to find any information on it, or what our equivelent for it would be. Drugs from other countries, even Canada, just aren't as regulated as the ones we have available in the US. ## Bezide is used to treat hypertension and not high pertension. The story I get from the people I have spoken with is that bezide is essentially hydrochlorothiazide, or HCTZ. If that is the case, then it is a diuretic which relieves vascular pressure by promoting the loss of body fliuids through urine. Side effects could inclu...

I'm on suboxone and would like 2 chat with others. Is that possible? ## I'm on suboxone 2 and mould like 2 chat with others, also . But a few days ago, I started taking them-very serious this time--so reply if your looking information or have questions! ## Yes, you can use this basically like a chat, just by responding to messages left and it will thread the conversation. This is a narcotic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Learn more Suboxone details here. Find a doctor who will write me prescription for my lower back pain was taking 15 mg of oxycodone. Live in Baltimore city zip code is 21215 ## Hello, Lisa! How are you? I'm sorry, but there is no listing of doctors according to what they will or will not prescribe that I can refer to for you. Additionally, due to the new directives that were set forth by the DEA last year, you'll most likely have to see a pain management specialist to have such a medication prescribed. The FDA classifies this medication as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Do you currently have a PCP that might be able to refer you to someone? If so, that might be the quickest and ...

I just need to know that I can live this way for the rest of my life. I'm tired or being scared and uncomfortable. I'm under a lot of stress. .Has anyone else had to live this way? ## Hello, Chickie! How are you? There are many people that do live long, active lives with issues just like yours. Your doctor is right, it is normal and generally not considered dangerous. They should tell you any warning signs to watch for, so you know if/when you need to seek medical attention. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Thank you. About to start Zepatier and would like to hear from others who are taking it or have taken it. -How's it going? -Did it work? -Would you do it all over again? -How are you feeling? ## OK so it's Saturday, February 24, 2017, and I'm taking the first pill of zepatier. I've read all about the older drugs and harvoni, and the possible side effects and long-term effects, so I know what I'm getting myself into. I have to start taking Sintrom today. Do l have to take it at the same time every day, and if so, when is the best time of day to take it? Lastly, is it still OK to fly whilst taking Sintrom? ## Sintrom contains the active ingredient Warfarin, it is a blood thinner and yes, it should be taken at the same time, every day. As to flying, yes, you can do so, however, there are some things you should be aware of, before you do so. If you are prone to clotting, and actually anybody should do this, if you are on a long flight, make sure you get up every few hours and move around a bit. Don't just stay sedentary in your seat. The recycled air in the cabins tends to be very dry, this can lead to dryness of your nasal passages and could result in them cracking or bleeding, which you don't...

I am on inhalers which have side effects on throat. I would like to know if my malady can be cured or at least alleviated up to 80 percent? ## Attu, I do not know to what extent your asthma can be alleviated. This is my 5th week on Zejula 200mg daily. As suggested by the pharmacy nurse I take it at night to help with possible side effects. The first 2 weeks I felt good. Slightly nauseous and shaky in the morning but was able to function well. The 3rd week I felt nauseous and shaky but it lasted longer. I also had more good days than bad. The 4th week the nausea, shakiness and fatigue lasted most the day. I did have 2 fairly good days that week. This week so far I have felt lousy most of the day. I have had my blood work checked every week. Platelets down to 100. Rest of my CBC low normal range. I see my oncologist in 4 days. I understand the reason to take this drug but I want to feel better. I have taken the nausea med as needed, many other forms of nausea relief methods and have taken naps...

I'm 69 years old and have been on 50 Fentanyl patch for about a year. I've gone down to 37 and having stomach cramps headache's anxiety and will soon be on 25. I'm scared the anxiety is awful. I have no family and I'm wondering if anybody else out there is suffering the same thing? ## Fentanyl is a very potent opiate, so any tapering should be done on a very slow schedule. How fast have you been doing it? Is your doctor setting up the tapering schedule for you? Since it is so potent, it is normal to experience some withdrawal symptoms, when tapering, or stopping it. They may include nausea, headache, rebound pain, anxiety, depression, muscle spasms, diarrhea, and more. Ref: Opiate Withdrawal Information

discuss the topic; all medicine contains drug but not all drugs contain medicine ## In respect to this, it really all depends on what you consider a drug and what you consider a medicine. I am guessing your lack of responses may be due to the fact that most people use them interchangeably, to mean the same thing. The U.S. FDA has made a distinction for items that they consider drugs, because of the effects they have on the human body, but do not find to have any valid medical use. However, over time, even many of those have found some type of medical use. Such as the THC in marijuana, it is now purified and used to help with the nausea and vomiting that many cancer patients experience after Chemotherapy treatments, it can also help stimulate their appetite. It is available in a pill cal...

Can express scripts discuss my medicines with my dentist without my knowledge? What about hippa laws? ## Hello, Brdie! How are you? To my understanding, your doctor or pharmacist is allowed to discuss your medications with them and it is not a HIPAA violation, because they are a prescriber and there is a risk of interactions and etc. Thus, there is certain information that may be essential to your safe care that they need to know. In reality, for your own safety, you should tell them everything that you are taking, before they prescribe anything, as directed by the FDA. Additionally, when you see your doctor or dentist, you usually sign a paper acknowledging their privacy policies and when they will talk to another practitioner and what information will or will not be shared. Hello, Just curious about a certain topic that just came up and I had never experienced it before. However, it's important to note that I'm more curious about the legality of this situation and not looking for any feedback on any potential actions worth taking. Situation: The other day I went in to see my doctor at a Pain Management clinic, who I've been with for years and have a great relationship with, and something very different was brought up that kind of had us both curious as to the reason behind this. I want to point out I'm not publicly stating the pharmacy name since that's not the focus of my question, but I will state that it is one of the largest chains in the US. The Event: When I was sitting with him he said, "I got a very odd and explicit call fro...

I recently went to a pharmacy to fill a prescription for Norco and the pharmacist called a different pharmacy across the street and shared information about the meds I have filled recently. It was a different pharmacy chain but it is a small town in PA. Is this legal? ## What was the purpose of his call? That's really what it all boils down to. If you were also getting medications filled at the other pharmacy and he valid reason to check on what you had prescribed previously, then no it isn't illegal. Most pharmacies use computer systems that do this very same thing, but some of the smaller ones don't have access to the large databases. If he had reason to believe that you may not have been up front with him about everything you are taking, or you said you didn't remembe...
