Has Bupap been discontinued and, if so, what replaces this med? It has helped my headaches tremendously with minimal side effects. ## Hello, Jacci! How are you? No, I didn't find anything about it being discontinued or there being a shortage. Did you check with your pharmacy? They may know more. There were actually several on the market that all contained Butalbital and Acetaminophen, so your doctor should be able to prescribe one of the others, if this one is no longer being manufactured. Side effects to this medication may include dizziness, nausea, sedation and diarrhea. Is there anything else I can help with?

I have tried to find specifics as to why this medication was discontinued, with no results. I am a life time suffer of sinusitis and for 3 solid years, this is the only medication that kept me OFF of continuous antibiotics for sinus infections. My insurance won't pay for sinus surgery and I have tried virtually EVERYTHING on the market. Nothing works like the Ru-hist Forte did. It's true, I can't find the original formula at all, anywhere. Our pharmacist said they are not making it anymore because people want the orange flavored products. Konsyl Original Formula is the very best product out there, pure and simple, and I can't understand why the Konsyl corporation is stopping production. A very stupid move on their part. ## From what I have been able to find, it is listed as still being available, and has not been discontinued. But yes, some people do prefer the flavored products, however, my mother-in-law uses one that isn't flavored, she just mixes it with orange juice. It doesn't appear to have been discontinued, their website is still active and offering the usual information, savings options and etc. Did someone tell you that it was? ## My pharmacist told me that it was discontinued., but I didn't think my doctor would prescribe it for me if it wasn't available. ## Deplin was not discontinued, but one of the products that claimed to be a generic was ordered off the market. Ask the pharmacist to order the actual brand product or a generic that has been approved for substitution. I went to my pharmacy today here in Canada to be told that Smith Kline Glaxo is no longer making Buro Sol. Is this the case and, if it is, what are my alternatives? ## You mean the antiseptic powder? Is it true that Respa AR is no longer being manufactured? When I went to Walmart to get my usual RX filled I was told it was no longer in production. ## That is correct. I have been disappointed to find that Drixoral has become almost impossible to get, as the company has stopped shipping it to pharmacies. My Doctor suggested I take this once easily obtainable allergy remedy years ago,and it is the ONLY thing that has proven effective in eliminating my symptoms. If not, where can I find it? ## From what I could gather, this medication is reportedly available over-the-counter or via prescription in many countries. I believe you can purchase it OTC though in the U.S. as it is said to be a well-tolerated medication. Spoke with Watson. Say that tabs are discontinued! I like the tabs as I can cut in half etc. ## Hi blondy, I haven't come across any specific details or announcements stating that the Fiorinal tabs have actually been discontinued. Actavis is the new "Watson" now since they recently bought them out. However, they come off to me as a pretty shady company, so it could be that they're slowly replacing some of the original Watson products without making any big announcements about it. I get pains down my leg usually when the weather changes from warm to cold and when it rains. I have always taken Norgesic Forte as soon as the pain starts and it always takes care of my pain. What are the medical community recommending in replacement? ## Hello Sharon, According to the FDA only certain dosages of the Adalat CC extended release is going to be discontinued as of now. Their list shows that the 10mg XR version of the pill is being discontinued but all the others are currently listed as currently being produced.
