bupap discontinued ?

Has Bupap been discontinued and, if so, what replaces this med? It has helped my headaches tremendously with minimal side effects. ## Hello, Jacci! How are you? No, I didn't find anything about it being discontinued or there being a shortage. Did you check with your pharmacy? They may know more. There were actually several on the market that all contained Butalbital and Acetaminophen, so your doctor should be able to prescribe one of the others, if this one is no longer being manufactured. Side effects to this medication may include dizziness, nausea, sedation and diarrhea. Is there anything else I can help with? ...

Ru-hist discontinued
3 Replies RSS
I have tried to find specifics as to why this medication was discontinued, with no results. I am a life time suffer of sinusitis and for 3 solid years, this is the only medication that kept me OFF of continuous antibiotics for sinus infections. My insurance won't pay for sinus surgery and I have tried virtually EVERYTHING on the market. Nothing works like the Ru-hist Forte did. Can someone help me? ## I'm sorry that you're having such issues, that's awful. From what I can find, it seems that it was due to the Pyrilamine in it, it's just been replaced with newer antihistamines that have been shown to be more effective and to cause less side effects. Thus, it was no longer selling well and the manufacture of it has been discontinued. Have you talked to your doctor to s... ...

Has deplin been discontinued? ## Hi, Cindy! How are you? It doesn't appear to have been discontinued, their website is still active and offering the usual information, savings options and etc. Did someone tell you that it was? ## My pharmacist told me that it was discontinued., but I didn't think my doctor would prescribe it for me if it wasn't available. ## Deplin was not discontinued, but one of the products that claimed to be a generic was ordered off the market. Ask the pharmacist to order the actual brand product or a generic that has been approved for substitution. I get the actual brand for 48 dollars per month from Brand Direct Health mail order pharmacy. Hope this helps. ...

Buro Sol discontinued?

I went to my pharmacy today here in Canada to be told that Smith Kline Glaxo is no longer making Buro Sol. Is this the case and, if it is, what are my alternatives? ## You mean the antiseptic powder? Unfortunately, since it's never been available in the U.S., I can't find much information on it or why it was discontinued. I can't even find a listing of the ingredients. Learn more antiseptic details here. Did you try asking a pharmacist if they can recommend an alternative? I would, but I'm not sure what's available in Canada. ## I currently am using Buro-sol powder with water to make solution. I live in a town west of Toronto Canada and its available here in most if not all the pharmacy's. some are now keeping the powder behind the counter but others have it with... ...

tabs being discontinued

Spoke with Watson. Say that tabs are discontinued! I like the tabs as I can cut in half etc. ## Hi blondy, I haven't come across any specific details or announcements stating that the Fiorinal tabs have actually been discontinued. Actavis is the new "Watson" now since they recently bought them out. However, they come off to me as a pretty shady company, so it could be that they're slowly replacing some of the original Watson products without making any big announcements about it. That's just one theory anyway. Does anyone else have information on the availability of these tablets? ...

I get pains down my leg usually when the weather changes from warm to cold and when it rains. I have always taken Norgesic Forte as soon as the pain starts and it always takes care of my pain. I can no longer get Norgesic Forte and the substitute my Pharmist told me to ask my Doctor for does not work. What other medications should I ask my Doctor for. I am in pain daily ## Hi Barney, Sorry to hear about your situation. I can't find any information on why norgesic was discontinued, but I think if you were to look into other Rx pain management options, there's always the usual list of narcotics to choose from; Oxycodone, Hydrocodone, Percocet, Norco, Dilaudid, Opana, Fentanyl, etc...Your doctor would probably know better than anyone else, which of these medications might be most a... ...

Has Lodrane 24 Been Discontinued And If So Why
23 Replies RSS
Has Lodrane 24 has been discontinued and if so, why? ## expexted mid to late 2012. Regarding Lodrane 24 and Lodrane 24D availability: March 2, 2011 the FDA published a notice that some 500 cough/cold/allergy products were to cease manufacturer distribution on August 31, 2011. Our three Lodrane products (Lodrane 24, Lodrane 24D, and Lodrane 12D) were included in this notice. This notice was not a product recall and there were no safety issues with our products. We now have an immediate-release, over-the-counter product available, Lodrane D Capsules. I've attached product labeling for Lodrane D Capsules. Lodrane D Capsules contain the same antihistamine (brompheniramine) and the same decongestant (pseudoephedrine) that were in Lodrane 12D and Lodrane 24D (Lodrane 24 did not contain a ... ...

why was orphenedrine compound forte discontinued
3 Replies RSS
I am trying to determine why orphenedrine compound forte was discontinued and if there is a replacement. ## You can still get Norgesic which is orphenedrine citrate, the same main ingredient as in Norgesic Forte. I took Norgesic Forte for my migraines and it worked wonderfully. When it was taken off the market, my dr switch me to regular Norgesic and had me take 2 excedrin along with it. This completes the ingredients that were in Norgesic Forte and give me the same result. ## Thank you for the information regarding orphenedrine and excedrine.
