I got my ears pierced 3 months ago with medical grade plastic system due to metal allergies then my left ear began to get irritated, bleed, pus and lost of pain & very dark on back side of ear. I got antibiotics but then my entire ear began to burn, itch and pain to touch & I couldn't touch or move my earlobe without it seeming to activate this weird filling of fullness inside my ear canal. My entire ear and lope was extremely swollen & two doc's confirmed major swelling on the inside of my ear. I used antibiotic ear drops but not much help. I am thinking the antibiotics helped with the possible earlobe infection cause that is tremendously better with the exception of just not being able to move it much for fear of the inner part of the canal getting that weird feeli...

I have been taking fosamax for a couple of years with the most devastating results. My Teeth have been breaking off on a regular basis the dental hospital are very nervous about removing my Teeth as they fear my jaw could break as a result of osteonecrosis. Also, I have just had a barium swallow for my enlarged glans in my throat where for the past 6 weeks I have lost my ability to speak after awakening at 8am exactly 12hrs later. The mental anguish is extreme and the dental surgery costs will be astronomical if my jaw can stand up to teeth removal without breaking. The manufacturers of this drug should step up and accept the compensation pay out to the sufferers of this debilitating drug called fosamax. ## That is a known side effect of this medication, according to NIH reports. It may...

Hi to all. I took Olanzapine 10mg for 6 Yrs & suffered a very strange & worrying side effect due to the Drug. After 3 Months of taking it, I literally stopped sleeping any more than 2 hours a night, characterized by no sleepiness prior to sleep onset (just blacked out) & no feelings of fatigue either physically or mentally despite days without sleep. I also had no drug effect from multiple Drugs, such as Alcohol, even after drinking 2 Litres of strong Wine, rather just no respiratory depression (very worrying), virtually no intoxication & no bodily effects such as warming effect, gate change (Cerebellar). I became so worried & distressed by this that I set out to withdraw from all Drugs & Alcohol in the hope that the fore mentioned extremely strange & bafflin...

When you are maintaining this drug is their a possibility u get pregnant? ## Yes, you could still become pregnant while taking it, though once you discover you are, you should inform your doctor, as soon as possible, to make sure it is safe for you to continue taking it. The NIH lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, and hypotension. Is there anything else I can help with?

Hi you good people.I had an IUD done..after two weeks of doing it I noticed a smelly discharge...i asked a pharmacist for advice n he recomanded Canex V cream. After using it on the day i bought it the smell stoped but i still produce dark brown(not a pleasent color) discharge. How long will it take to stop completely? ## It sounds like you may be experiencing spotting, which is a type of light bleeding that can be a normal side effect, when you have an IUD, according to NIH reports. When it's dark brown like that, it's usually old blood that wasn't expelled during your prior period. Have you had it checked out by a doctor, though? That is always the best thing to do.

I agree with most that methadone is a great drug for those with pain, or past addicts, but its also the worst drug you can become dependent upon because of the 6 month detox time which I can tell you first hand you would rather die by a slide of razor blades. I started taking methadone on the streets after I got hooked on oxys after a serious back injury and multiple surgeries. I then moved to North Carolina and started at a Clinic, yr later moved back to Florida and went to a doctor who prescribed me them at the time 40mg pills were still on the market, then the DEA took them off and the only one you could get were 10mg pills, so I went from getting 100 40mg to 400 10mg which sounds insane. Since I have worked my way down to only 180 10mg a month. Most people get methadone for pain bec...

My doctor has disappeared. He went out in March. At the March appointment I got two scripts for three a day (regular dose is two a day) one to fill that day and another to fill April 17 to cover up to June 17th. There was no rx for May and I stupidly did not start looking for new doctor because I trusted this doctor and had been going to him for over 2 years. The day before the June 17 appointment he calls, says he could not keep the appointment. At that time, I had a few left and told him that and it was “I don't know what to tell you and hung up”. I got into see someone a few Saturdays ago and they knew my situation and agreed to not make me start over and instead start right off treating monthly if I had printout from pharmacy saying that I had been on it. The doctor ...

I'm permanently disabled after being injured on the job. I was a union boilermaker which is a hazardous job in itself, but i wasnt ready to retire. I've had c4 5 5 6 fused, back and foot surgery. I was taking 240 80mg OC a month. Dr cut me to 6 30 mg roxy's daily, now i get nothing. Al doctors are not helping. I have been on those meds since 1998. ## Hi Rob, Sorry to hear about your challenging situation. It seems like many chronic pain patients are facing a similar set of circumstances in this new era of opioid madness. At this point, I get the sense that all one can do is continue searching for a compassionate doctor or deviate towards natural alternatives such as kratom, cannabis (cbd/thc), turmeric, exercise (in whatever capacity seems doable), meditation and surrounding...

I need to find a doctor to support keeping me out of work for my osteoarthritis in my ankles, knees, hips, hands and spine and Fibromyalgia and RA. I have a doctor now that pulled me out of work but revises to fill out my short term disability and sent me to occupational doctor to fill it out and he seen me for 10 mins and said back to work with restrictions and now my rheumatologists agrees with him. I would prefer a doctor in northwest suburbs that will support a patient and understand how painful it is to work with the conditions I have.

So approx. 3 years ago I applied for disability. I was out of work on fmla for approx 15 days a month and it was taking a hard hit on my financial state since fmla days aren't paid. My dr said his advice was to apply for disability. This entire process was long and exhausting as some of you know. I had rotator cuff tendonitis, fibromyalgia, myofascial pain syndrome, radiculopathy in my c5 & c6 disk in my neck, Iliotibial band syndrome in my right leg, depression and severe anxiety. All 5 of my doctors (ortho, pain mgmt, rheumatology, pcp, pshyc) stated in my files and paperwork they provided to the state that I qualify. HOWEVER, here's the kicker, the state then decided to send me to a few of their own doctors who seen me for approx. 15 minutes and don't know me or my ca...

My prescription was stolen and I want to know how do I find out if it was filled and where it was filled out at? ## @tammy, I would think that no one else should be able to fill your prescription papers without your driver's license / ID and signature; especially if it's a controlled substance? However it would probably be a good idea to call your prescribing doctor immediately if you haven't done so already. This way he/she can void their consent to have it filled. The doctor may also be able to find out where they attempted to fill it at. So there may not be anything else you can do at this point other than working with your doctor... but if you discover any additional clues I'd consider filing a police report. Surely this has to be the work of someone who may be close...
